What I think what happened is that since he was using Kaiju 2’s gear, the Kaiju inside Kafka (and Kafka himself) saw him as a Kaiju. That’s why it says “Kill Kaiju” and is taking over

Not only is Isao's va Kaido, he is very FAMOUSLY known for being the Japanese voice of Optimus Prime (transformers is HUGE in Japan)

This fight is one of the hypest from the manga, can't express how happy I am to see it in anime form, it really lived up to expectations, Production IG is really killing it with this adaptation. 👏

I think next week is the last episode. I've seen some fairly reliable rumors that a second season is already in production, though. This episode is making me think that Kaiju picked him because it needed someone to take out other Kaiju and he had the heart and reflexes for it. Just needed the muscles. It's interesting that Kikoru recognized immediately that it really wasn't Kafka in charge. I've watched several reactions but there are some I always look for. Yours is one of them.

Number 8 will beat him but when it was about to kill him, Kafka remembered what Mina told him and took over to stop Number 8 from killing the Dad.

I don't think you caught it, but the Kaiju No. 8 (when inside Kafka's mind said (Kill Kaiju ...). If it wasn't clear that the Kaiju are out for themselves when No. 9 mentioned using his corpse or the fact that 10 said he ate other Kaiju to get stronger, then No. 8's objective is clear. He seems to be a weak parasitic / symbiotic Kaiju that simply wants to live and kill the other Kaiju. It seems to have some telepathic/mental abilities which is probably why it choose Kafka. His purpose when we saw No. 8 as a parasite, was to stand beside Mina and kill all the Kaiju. :)

Dont forget the kaiju in Kafka is one the with strongest ever be measured fortitude of 9,8. losing control of that thing is bad news 😅

Sadly, yes, this season is 12 episodes. 😔 I'm really grateful for it tho, Production I.G made my first manga to anime experience amazing. Definitely reading the rest of the volumes I'd bought some time after the anime ends! 😌🔥

Yeah, i couldn't be watching this 😂 had to pick up the manga for this one.

This show is fun to watch and the characters are likable enough, but I have got to say that this show so far lacks any sort of stakes whatsoever. And it’s not because no one died or the lighter tone of the show. You don’t need deaths or have a serious tone to create stakes. But it almost feels like the author keep avoiding any sort of plot points that could give some of tension and stake to the action and the more serious stuff that’s going on in the show. The main character got this power that was given to him by a monster, but he got full control over it almost immediately and when he did lose control? it was when he couldn't cause any consequences. So far we haven’t met a single character in this show whose life has been heavily affected by the Kaiju, not even civilians. The show hasn't shown us how the existence of the kaiju affects society and human life, especially the characters's life. It doesn’t help that the motivation of most of the characters we know so far is “Mina is so cool”. Almost nobody has a compelling reason why they take this dangerous job. Whenever there’s a kaiju invasion, it feels like the characters are participating in some sort of sport but without the competition rather than fighting against a dangerous threat.

Probably the best/worst cliffhanger thus far 😡😡🤣🤣 Next episode should be awesome!!
