This is a detail explanation of most of T.J. Combo's abilities. I cover not only the moves but the AUTOS that work for each OPENER. There's A LOT in this video.

That's awesome! Yeah, he's got more stuff than anyone I think. Same for KI2. So many options! Glad this helps. The KI1 TJ & KI2 Spinal videos were probably the most in-depth of all of them. There's a lot going on!

awesome video, didn't even know you could use the fierce punch charge as an opener. I wish I had that version of the game, looks so crisp!

There are so many things like that in KI. That's what used to annoy me in the 90s when people didn't really know KI, they just thought it was a game where you just pressed 2 buttons and did 100 hits. They were clueless to all of the variations in moves and how you can convert moves into other moves. KI was definitely a deeper game than what many people thought.

Has anyone really ever documented the charge back forward medium punch variations? Like the specific moves you need to do to get the different versions of it?

I've always wondered, if you're getting combo'd from behind you have to do the breaker in the direction your character is facing or towards your opponent?

Yeah, that's a weird one. So, it doesn't come up much but it's a bit odd. You CAN do EITHER direction. Toward the opponent or the way you're facing. But you'll find that the initial AUTO is nearly impossible to break. I haven't really studied it extensively but yeah, both are possible but don't be surprised if neither work at certain points in the combo.

You make it look too easy😅 again I'm trying to do the combo at 33:25 and I can't, I just roll and then lift them up in the air giving me a 12 hit combo, it's hard. I get what happens at 35:08. What am I doing wrong?

It's really all about timing as I flesh out at this point in the video. Pressing BACK a little before the QP Linker and delaying slightly before the MK Auto are vital to making it work. It's definitely difficult!

Me and my son bought the arcade1up and we're wondering what your pick for easiest character would be. I am having best luck with tj combo so far because his special moves are easier to remember

From a "remember the moves" perspective, yes TJ. He's the simplest in that regard, but I think his gameplay goes deeper than most. If you have a history with Ryu from Street Fighter you could start with Jago, I made a video on him. I learned Chief Thunder & Glacius first. I've recorded the Thunder tutorial, I just have to make the graphics. That might be another good one. I'll try to get that video done this weekend. The KI1 BASIC TUTORIAL video I did might help too.
