Season 6 Episode 9: In 1992, a Washington, DC professor was shot and killed as she tried to get into her car, the latest incident in a series of violent carjackings. One week later, a man robbed a bank and security cameras captured the same vehicle as the getaway car.
The FBI Files is an American docudrama that takes a look behind the scenes of the Federal Bureau of Investigation's crime laboratory.
Real FBI cases are recounted through reenactments and interviews, due to the sensitive nature of the show, viewer discretion is advised.

I remember being a teenager watching this in the late 90’s and I couldn’t wait for new episodes each week! Crazy how time flies by, But I still enjoy watching this show the same today as I did a little over 20 years ago. The Narrator has the best voice for a show like this! Couldn’t imagine anyone doing the show any better… RIP Jim Kallstrom, (Formah hed of the FBI’s Nu Yark Awfiss) Thank you for your service Sir! 💯

Thanks to Al Jazeera i was introduced to this great documentary. I was in my late teen years back then methods such as DNA testing were unheard of in my home country. I asked my secondary school teacher about it and he said “ that is a very advanced level of genealogy” it the nuclear physics of biology .

I think this is the first episode what contained actual real time police dash cam video. I wish they would have showed more of the actual video like the standoff. Anyway...he probably knew he was out of bullets after the shootout with the cop when he took the car and with the cop at the standoff so by putting the gun to his head he knew it had to be empty. Feeble attempt at a suicide to gain sympathy. If he really wanted to die he would have pointed his empty gun at the police and let them fill him with lead from all angles.

After he brutally murder 4 innocent people, i stopped watching the video to quickly check in the comments section, thinking please don't tell me this cold hearted, gruesome, bloody merciless killer wasn't given the death sentence? For the love of me this monster went around randomly killing innocent people and stealing their cars, some of his victims finished work leaving for home, willingly gave him their car keys but he still executed them. Wow 😳

Bravo, when a criminal is put behind bar for good, It gives me some amount of peace even though I am not in America, but I felt for them, I placed myself as a human being, I knew it a past incident or cases that you people acted, but it had taken place, it real so whenever it ended up that these criminasl are put behind bars for good, there is a great feeling of happiness and also the work you people do, the resources didn't go in vain. I wish all criminals, rapist, theft will be treated the same way, so that we will have same amount of peace on this planet.

36:28 - "We got a girl" - reminds me of a time when I was with some friends in a car, one of them was a pervy type, always checking out the women that we drove past. One time he was getting all excited about one of them as we approached from behind, long blonde hair and tight jeans, then we drove alongside and we saw the person's face, and it turned out to be a guy - needless to say his perving came with a bit more caution from that point onwards.
