The lifechanging tech in KF2 is finding out you can jump on crawlers to knock them out, so they can never really trap you because you can just goomba stomp over the crowd.

the original Killing Floor was one of the first games I consistently was able to play online with friends, alongside TF2, and has stuck with me to this day with its design and voicelines. And when KF2 came around I was overjoyed, even when it took them a good few months to polish the initial release. Now it's something I still hop into now and again and adore every second of it.

Spent the last 5 hours getting violated by an assignment, and it wasn't even half the questions either... This video made the pain go away for 18 mins and 26 seconds. Thanks Verac.

Important to know that, if you level your berserker to max level. You can move normally when everyone else is in zed-time. Unleashing your inner closeted samurai fantasies by attacking 200times in a second with a katana.

Everything is excellent until one of your friends extends the zed times to several seconds and instead of a pleasure slaughter, it feels like torture. Fantastic review 11/10!

1300+ hours, Prestige 5 player on all perk roles here. This hits it on the head. I keep gifting the game to a new friend every time it goes on sale, because I want more people to play with. Also, the map modding community is amazing. You missed one bit though. Fully expressing how satisfying it is to fold the "friendly German NASA scientist" like an omelette with the M99. Or the Slap-Chop Railgun build. 9.5/10 great vid.

something I noticed you didn't mention was how the bonuses some perks get to reload speed, they didn't just speed up the animation, they are a completely different reload that is faster.

I don't think you mentioned it, but the reason that this is one of my all time favorite games is that the hip firing DOESN'T SUCK like basically every other shooter game. By default, crosshairs are disabled. This is because if you enabled crosshairs, (in the options menu) you'd almost NEVER have to aim down sights. That's how accurate hip firing is with every weapon! Even when you're holding down full auto fire, the bullets doesn't bloom out in a cone like shooters. Your screen just moves around more, but you're still shooting at basically the center of the screen. (the only other game I've seen that behaves similarly is using LMGs in Tom Clancy's The Division) In fact, the only real reason to hip fire is when you're actually shooting something far away, OR when you're trying to heal a teammate. Healing bullets home in, (so it's not at all like playing Ana in Overwatch) and there's actually a little indicator on the Medic Guns' scopes to tell you if you're looking at a teammate while aiming. Even then, there's an audio cue, a "ba-doop" sound, that plays even when no-scoped to tell you you're aiming at an ally. I cannot praise enough the badass power fantasy this game gives when you're good at it or just really high level and you're tearing through Zeds like crazy.

0:28 The first Killing Floor game was made by brits in the UK. After they released that game, they started making some realistic historial FPS games, namily the Rising Storm and Red Orchestra games. When they were working on those games, they wanted to capture a high level of detail and accuracy regarding firearms operation, and they realized it was easier to travel to the US and try out the various guns they wanted to add to the games for real than to try to do so in the UK. Some of the founders of the company started appreciating those and other aspects of life in the US, and before KF2 was developed, they moved part if not all of the entire company to the US, so the resulting KF2 is now a strange mixture of both cultures and ideals, possessing both really detailed and badass firearms mechanics and the mannerisms that are elusive in the US but far more popular across the pond.

3 weeks ago i picked up deep rock galactic again and sunk 100 hours into it. today, i load up Veracs new video and am shocked, yet pleasantly surprised what game was mentioned. i am hopeful for what the next video is about. excellent work, as per usual.

Killingfloor 1 was a game I played a lot as a young boy with my father and uncle, I was our sharpshooter player... I later had a big brain idea to quickly borrow a bullpub from some random commando, take some clear tape, put it over my monitor and make a black dot where the center dot on the bullpub sight was when aiming and just rocked that.... I rocked that little peice of tape for months, and was so in tune with it that I eventually didn't need it, just nabbed myself a levergun and headshotted EVERYTHING from the hip. years would pass and eventually we'd all get tired of Killing floor, but when KF2 came around? and i got it and loading up sharpshooter? *those reflexes were still there* "I'm still worthy" :P

Another thing about support is the amount of gibbing, crowd control, and team play he has. The blunderbuss cannon stuns big fellas easily while wiping out trash mobs. Also the penetration basically says “fuck your blocking”

The KF1 vs 2 voicelines bit seriously took me back nearly a decade. KF one has that perfect arcadey bargain bin charm that was downright addictive and a delight to play. Now I want a "classic" voice pack. Glad to see how this game has changed and evolved since launch

Killing Floor 2 is such a fun game, when you reach level 25 you'd discover that there is more depth to the mechanics than just point and shoot zeds, a shame that not many people play it nowadays.

There is one thing I wanted to point out about Survivalist, is that it is actually a better perk than he made it out to be and especially when equipped with the Killerwatt in charge mode at full power. The ability to pick any starting weapon and grenade pair with the fact that it has increased damage with literally all weapons, global damage resistance and heavy body armour already makes it fairly good. However I wanted to talk about the Killerwatt specifically because it's one of the few Survivalist perk only weapons, I am not joking when I say this could be the most effective against bigger zeds and bosses. It has increased damage on shields making them melt like butter and it can also get rid of components effectively such as the armour on Abomination and the Matriarch's arm without needing to actually aim at because it damages their entire body from the energy, making the only real treat the Patriarch but even he has a hard time against this weapon. I used to run Killerwatt with Dragonsbreath and it is great, the only reason why I don't play it anymore is because in both my friend groups someone started using it for themselves while we play Hell on Earth together. Unfortunately that means I have take the place of a Demolitionist or Medic in our teams and as someone who has played every Killing Floor 2 seasonal event since the Summer Sideshow back in 2017, I'm finally happy seeing a good review about this game.

You can get the classic voice actors via OG Briar and Masterson as available chars if you have KF1. I haven't switched from classic Briar the instant I found him as part of the rooster. Also while Medic does overall less damage, it's one of the tankier perks in the game and by channeling your inner medic gf you can stop the run from going to shit by either shooting darts like a machine gun, puffing fat clouds of blue weed everywhere, or realize everyone is already dead so you just make yourself flat out inkillable until everyone spawns in the next round.

kf2 does increaese damage and hp but not as much as the previous 2 games did {killing floor was originally a unreal tournament 2004 mod bought by tripwire} but big zed hp scaling increases alot more by number of players in game. Glad to see more people talk review te game who have actualy played on higher difficulties as most go as far as hard usually as the skill leap to HoE is quite big at first.

I just found this channel like a week ago, but I watched this video two times, daily. The voice level fluctuation around jokes always cracks me up.

Really cool video dude, I always heard of killing floor (mostly 2) but never really gave it a chance because, multiplayer shooters were never really my thing, I kinda suck at FPS games, but thanks to some stupid fun times with Deep rock galactic and a few friends dragging me into playing TF2 I have been giving those a bit more of a try. Also I couldn't help but notice some small style similarity to the other youtuber Haxor, and even in one of your other videos someone said the same, which let me say... I think you're doing a little better than him, because I can at least visually digest what happens in your videos a bit more easily, the guy is cool but it's hard to watch something when it's constantly giving me visual overload, keep doing good like this, your jokes are solid and your editing style has struck a nice balance of neat visual gags without making me go cross-eyed 😅

Killing Floor 2 is always a damn good time (at least when not playing solo), I just really wish the Xbone one playerbase was a bit larger. Sometimes you can't even find a lobby on hell on earth and have to go down to hard or normal. Oh and I also miss getting new guns for free instead of reskins of old ones.

The point you made about the difficulty increase is a part of game design I wish more developers focused on. It's easy to tweak some numbers, slide the aggro scale, and call it a day, but actively changing behaviour is a rarity. For instance, one game I play has enemies with a parrying dagger, but they'll never use it on base NG. Once you get to NG+2, however, they'll actually punish the player with parries if they get too aggressive, and a riposte from these guys at NG+2 will _body_ anyone without 1800+ HP. The difficulty scales to NG+5, btw. They get _harder_ than that.

I like medic because it let's you shoot magical clouds of space aids and somehow it allows you to fill the tank, healer, dps and crowd control roles of the team... at the same time
