The fact that Em wrote this whole track in 13 minutes flat is fucking crazy. He didn't even try with MGK.

"The game is mine again...Give Jade a Kiss" reference is ENTIRELY deeper than everyone thinks. 1. "Ain't nothing changed but the locks". The blond hair represented his Slim Shady persona back then before going back to his normal dark brown hair (excluding MMLP2). 2. "Give Jade a kiss" is referring to his daughter, Haylie Jade Mathers. 3. The entendres with "...the locks" and "...Jade a kiss", also refers to the rap trio "The Lox", which the rapper Jadakiss is part of. 4. Both parts of "The game is mine" and "Before I slay..." Is a whole reference to one of Jadakiss's albums called "Kiss Tha Game Goodbye", which therefore, tying the whole bar together.

fun fact: the song is titled after the 2008 thriller movie Killshot, about married couple Wayne and Carmen Colson, who are targeted by an experienced Mafia hitman Armand Degas. Machine Gun Kelly's real name is Richard Colson Baker, and he often is called Colson in his private life.

3 years later and I've come across the best video that breaks it down but also shows great enthusiasm for the beat and drops.

If anyone would know the truth about pac it would be Eminem. People would be talking in his world, especially to him because apparently he loved pac. He said he was playin’ at the end but he isn’t. He said it and he said it boldly and with full intentions of bringing it back into the light. Getting a rise as you said is probably just a beneficial side affect. I’m guessing this is exactly what happened and Eminem won’t forget it and it only took DIddy to allow MGK to release his attack song on Eminem to get Eminem to tell the cold hard truth. I’m not a rap fan but Tupac and many others broke when I was in 7th grade so I fell into the rap genre for a couple years so I still have remnants of appreciation for it. I do like Eminem, more for his personality then his art but I do appreciate his gift in the genre so I actually really liked this dis track even though I didn’t know MGK started shit with him which was just a half-brained decision. It’s funny that people take MGK’s side in this when Eminem knocked MGK into trying his hand at a different genre of music altogether. Game set match.

When you listen to mgks first shot on tecs song, then Not alike, then rap devil and last killshot. It’s even more clear that Eminem is the superior rapper and won this beef!! Some bars in not alike are quadruple layered rhymes, Kelly can’t do that.

I'm only now understanding the depth and double-entendre, subliminals stuff, I listened to the superficial. Now that I introduce, if you've ever seen Iron Mike launch himself at his opponent and school them in the first minute... that's what happened here. Eminem could've made a 20 second response and still put MGK in his place... this isn't a Killshot, this is fcking massacre, while barely trying!

And for those who think I'm reaching by trying to tie together all these dates and numbers, take this line for example: "Say you got me in a scope, but you grazed me I say one call to Interscope and you're Swayze" "Meaning if he called Interscope he'd dissapear" "Swayze" is synonym for "Ghost" and "gone/disappear" "Ghost" was a 1990 movie with Patrick Swayze, who's character is murdered and is left to roam the earth as a powerless spirit. I recommend you to see what genre MGK doing these days (hint: it's no longer hip-hop/rap). Em did literally kill MGKs carreer with Killshot. There are also some sick references that Em does, such as matching Rap Devil in length by the second (both songs lasting 4 mins 14 secs), Em released the song on a date that referenced a serial killer or some crazy shit like that and other aspects I don't remember anymore. Knox Hill has this information in his reaction of the song, so it's worth checking out.

The bar with "the locks" references also to "The Lox" and that was a rapgroup with Jadakiss in it.

"Ain't nothing changed but the locks" also references The Lox, group of which Jadakiss was a member, AND locks of bleach blonde hair.

Went back to listen to this 2018 masterpiece and I just caught when Em talks about a heart attack. MGK thought he was having a heart attack in a performance in 2017. Hahahah I love Em 😎
