At least she's mentioning the lower death toll from vaccinations now. That's an improvement I guess. She's still missing a ton of points glaring her in the face in her own graphics. Her whole narrative would be defeated if she didn't just skip over key facts. She says, look at how high Israel's cases are, trying to make some point that the vaccines didn't stop the spread. The fact that Israel's cases are higher now, but deaths are way lower, actually suggests that the vaccine was somewhat more effective at preventing the spread with previous variants. It would say that their efforts actually did save lives as it prevented the spread of more deadly variants. The vaccine might not be mitigating the spread much if at all now, but we've made it to a less deadly form. It's also a big fallacy when she says the case numbers are the reason for the public health measures. It is really idiotic to suggest that cases are more important to stop. It was always the deaths and hospitalizations. If no one was dying., there wouldn't be any reason for a response in the first place. I know Grim will really lay into Dore for his misinformation, but Kim is fishing for clicks from the same audience. She's just more weasely about it to try not to get pegged for misinformation.

Just to add a few points: The sub-headline is highly misleading, not to say deceitful; Israel hasn't abandoned mandatory face masks and hand washing, and is now giving fourth vaccinations. It's an outright falsehood to say they have "given up trying to contain covid", nor did she offer a modicum of evidence for that claim. Iverson also omits that some 20% of patients who do survive have long haul recoveries. No one knows how long these hauls might last, but for some there might be life-time chronic symptoms, sometimes debilitating. I personally know cases, and it is very sad. It is entirely rational to fear a 1% mortality and 20% long haul recovery rate. All 3 of her examples of allegedly irrational behaviour are problematic. The woman who isolated in the bathroom of the plane did the absolutely right thing, as any epidemiologist will say. There are documented cases of single covid carriers infecting many on a flight. Iverson omits that the isolation was done in cooperation with flight attendants, who regularly attended to her with food and drink and so forth. The omission aims to exaggerate her self-sacrifice to make it seem irrational. The second example, of a woman who locked her 13 year old in the trunk of her car, is likely about an abusive relationship; it is therefore irrelevant to alleged covid irrationality. The 3rd example is very bizarre. Why didn't the supermarket or cabbie just *give* the woman a mask, as commercial establishments regularly do? Exactly as you observe, Iverson tells people what they want to hear, and the combination of psychological need of pandemic-denial plus the usual yt sycophancy has thousands drooling all over themselves.

The lockdowns and forced closures are not being enacted because of fear of covid, but rather because people on power see it as a way to grow the level of power and control they have over people.

With you. 63..had both cv and the latest...we cannot give up our rights! Bad health is NOT a problem for those who are older..it is a problem for those who are unhealthy and their age varies. No vax with this issue for me. The NIH started a study last year on this vax and women's monthly cycle.....what next.

Problem is, that hospitalizations and deaths that they have been reporting on are NOT accurate. They have been inflating the numbers with....... those WITH Covid..... opposed to those who died or were hospitalized BECAUSE of Covid. There is a big difference. It also doesn't help, that hospitals get government money for reporting Covid cases. The data is corrupted BIG TIME.

Most of the hospitals near me are saying they're full.

What we know: the vaccine does not stop transmission, infection, hospitalisation and in some cases death. What we see: The more vaccinations the higher the cases. What say it is the vaccines that are driving this. The Omicron is hitting the vaccinated in very big numbers. Look ar the Nurses Drs etc.All fully vaxxed. But strangely enough there have been quite a lot of reports saying the unvaxxed are coping a lot better? Maybe the vaccines have weakened our immune systems-have allowed other virus's to come forward. Anyone else having thoughts about this?

If you have Lupis you are probably taking Hydroxychloroquine (Plaquenil), which would have probably helped avoid catching covid (until now). I remember reading how scientists noticed people with Lupis had a much lower infection rate, and the front-line doctors were using HCQ as a prophylactic.

And here we go again. Yes, there are side-effects, like any other type of medication. But the statistical impact of that is miniscule and limited to a very tiny segment of those who get vaccinated. It is probably similar to the risks of crossing a busy street or getting out of the bath. I think it's called Risk Evaluation.
