Thank you, I couldn't find the explanation for how I felt about this until now. Also, the "successful" outcome just feels very underwhelming and even kinda pretentious to me. Like a guy who thinks he's really cool and everyone around him thinks so too. But even so, they have no emotional connection to him. Just a collective agreement that he's "cool" or whatever, but no one actually "likes" him. While as the "failed" outcome shows vulnerability and that it's okay to express yourself like this and lay it all out. While there was some mild laughter in the crowd, surely there were also people that felt moved by this performance. Yet scared to show their vulnerability by openly endorsing it... Except for Kim.
The "Success" feels like a broken, exhausted man filled with sorrow singing about his life. This one feels more like a "performance" to me, hah. Which is good and bad.
The “successful” version has this William shatner/ Johnny Cash spoken word feeling to it, but the lizard brain version is genuinely singing his heart out. What it lacks in talent it makes up for in sincerity.
Or at least close to it- a deep gravelly voice with a cockney-ish accent, maybe. I don't think it's co-incidence that all of your internal voices are British sounding when most people here sound french
when he gets to the last line (nothing matters at all) i started laughing soooo fucking hard at 'at' because i didnt recognize he said a word i just thought he started screaming
