I spent a very enjoyable morning down at RAF Brize Norton catching the big assets of the King Charles III's Birthday Flypast Formation before they took part in the flypast at the Trooping The Colour in London on June 17th 2023.
It was cool to see the C-130s again after catching them low level in the Mach Loop earlier in the week.

Is there any way to check arrivals and departures, I’m always missing the B1’s because I can’t find when they arrive or depart

Unfortunately not bud. The military don’t have published schedule so it’s mostly guesswork. I’ve had at least two days of nothing on this deployment so far. When they do depart they’re normally very early, 5-6am or even earlier. They’re difficult beasts to catch 👍

No problem. Sorry I can’t be much more useful. Getting them coming back is easier as they go out on very long missions so there is plenty of warning. Still a waiting game though 😅

Yeah for sure. Such a shame to see these retire from the RAF isn't it?! At least the USAF still operate the type in the UK 👍

@@UKAviationMovies USAF still flies over 270 of them currently. I was just in Columbus ,Ohio this last weekend and caught both Blue Angels demonstrations, to include of course the USMC C-130J " Fat Albert" demo. Always Fantastic . . .
