Geoff passed my checkride today. Faa licensed Sport Pilot. On to my Private Pilot and CFI. Thx to your videos it reignited my drive to get my ticket .... I started in the late 80's in High School discovered girls and dropped, 2005 tried again logged some time and fuel shot up, with a young family had to bail AGAIN!!! 2023 Semi-retired... met a great Sport CFI bought a Remos G3 Light Sport and made it happen at 52. Thx again!!! Hope to be out in UK this summer

I went to the airfield on that Saturday, more full of hope than expectation. I was met with an overcast sky, low hanging clouds and not a single person flying. I ended up tidying out the hanger instead. Ah well. Thanks for another lovely video.
Totally relate to that! 😔 The weather has been horrible for months & I think we’d have more success playing the lottery than having good weather for flying 😂 At least your hangar is tidy, that’s quiet satisfying 👍🏼 Thanks so much for watching too 🥳

I so need to visit Spire View it looks an idyllic strip but I see visitors are now not allowed due to inconsiderate pilots not following the noise abatement instructions 😢 Nice to see you above the clouds Geoff and I agree with the other comments you have the video from your cameras is so crisp and clear. Love it.
I’m going to try & speak to the land owner next time I’m there to see when the visitors suspension ends. There is an abatement area that was (I believe) spectacularly & royally violated by a visiting pilot. Even resident pilots are not permitted to do any circuit work or ‘practice’ go-arounds 🤦🏻♂️ I’ll do some investigation 👍🏼🤞🏼
Sorry it’s been so long sir, the weather has been consistently poor 😭 It’s getting there now, so hopefully more to come & hopefully with increasing frequency 🤞🏼
@@FlyingDarkLord I feel you Geoff, I really do! Haven't been able to fly more than just a couple of flights for the last few months... I'm planning on doing a longer XC flight this weekend, which I intend to capture on film. Fingers crossed I remember to put the zoom in rec-mode 😅
Another nice one Geoff. Your Insta360 camera does a superb job with the stitch line. In fact I can't even see it. It's way better than the GoPro Max 360. Hope your weather is on the up for lots more flying.👍
The 360’ camera does a superb job, but my word it takes just as long to edit the footage from that one camera than it does to edit the whole video with multiple cameras 😅 I really appreciate you watching 😊👍🏼
We agonised whether to fly to Lundy on Thursday and back on Saturday but my desire to become an old pilot made us decide to speak to Lundy Island and they did a fantastic job of shoe horning us into return flights be helicopter. It did mean an early morning 4 hour drive. We achieved our goal and managed to film Puffins and I will post a video of our short break on Lundy. As usual Geoff, another superb film, very enjoyable. Ps. I'm so glad I'm not the only one to have difficulty spotting the runways of Spire View from a distance. 😎🤣
I’ll be looking out for your video sir! 🤓 The weather was a little sketchy, but at least some flying was had! That runway becomes even harder to spot when the crops are in full ‘bloom’ 😂
