King's Quest III Redux (AGD Interactive) playthrough (No Commentary) 

It's disappointing that AGD isn't going to remake King's Quest 4. There could have been an improved story involving the Father's vengeance, Pandora's box and the role it could have played in bringing about the new age, with multiple endings, depending on whether or not Graham was saved (if he died, the ending could vary depending on it Rosella ate the fruit if she actually found it), and whether or not Pandora's box was secured away back in the crypt. It would have been a great game and a fantastic sequel to this great game!

I always wished the game would have let me throw Mannanan from the cliff after turning him in to a cat. He murdered countless young boys, destroyed many families, then returned again in the fifth game to cause more havoc.

Although he had no time to tell Graham after this game, Alexander would have some time after King's Quest IV. "... so now that Rosella told me about the zombies, ogres, a unicorn, Edgar, that whale, those fairies, and the non-thieving Dwarves from Tamir, what were you trying to tell me before I suffered that magically-induced heart attack, Alexander?" "Well, after Manannan kidnapped me, I was raised by him and he renamed me Gwydion. I had no idea that my parents were really..." (Hours later) "... he taught he how to read, but he didn't teach me magic, but since I could read, I read through some of his letters and..." (A few hours later) "... was going to kill me when I turned 18. So I knew I had to turn the tables on him. I discovered his magical laboratory and..." (More hours later) "... not sure if she was medusa or just a gorgon, but after dealing with her, I..." (Still later) "... and that's when I crumbled that cookie into the porridge, which he totally ate. He's a cat now. Oh, his brother might not like it very much, but I honestly forget his name. Mor... Moe, ah, it's not important. Not like he had any way of knowing that I did it. Anyway..." (Even later) "... some birds said that I was really a prince. Not that I believed them until an oracle confirmed it. Oh, Llewdor has an oracle hidden in a cave which was behind a giant spider's web, not that I have any idea how the oracle got into there with a spider in the way, especially one big enough to eat a human. But she also told me that Rosella was in danger. Every kingdom should have an oracle, or at least a magic mirror which can tell the future, like the one Daventry has. Anyway, I had to cross the ocean to get back to Daventry, so..." (the next day) "... luckily, the pirates had no way of resisting that magic sleep powder..." (a little later) "... and Rosella said I had a distinctive birthmark on my right buttock. Really. I'm surprised you told her that. I showed her and that's how she accepted me as her long-lost brother. And then we went back to Castle Daventry and here we are now. Oh, and I'm a wizard, I guess. Sort of. I don't know how to reverse any of those spells, as I was never actually taught magic, as I said yesterday, so please don't ask me to cast anything that I'd have to undo later."

Thank you for doing a playthrough on this dope classic-remake game, Albert! Really enjoyed the original when I was a kid even though it took me like half a decade to get to the pirate ship, and think every game should be in these KQ5-esque type of graphics. ☺

The idea of mananan casually interrupting most of your duties, if you do it wrong he zaps you, turn you into dust, a cat, a dancing squiggly fever. this was an impossible duty back when I was a child (no walkthrough), because you had to mix some spells underground, while procuring items down the mountain onto the village, while watching the time before mananan goes back. yeah old games are really unforgiving.

just finished playing through this game was great. I think having the ending where Mordak takes the cat and burns the wizards house from the other remake would have been a nice touch in this one, but still great game

1:24:30 This was done PERFECTLY. I know the guys would've gotten hell, but I would've programmed in kicking that fucking cat across the room after everything he has put you through in the game and personally as a kid being driven insane by this fucking game! This game was hard as all hell, it was 'hardware hard' (due to the consoles limitations) and 'mean spirited-hard' (truly F you games from developers). I can't tell you how many times as a kid I wanted to break my $2,000 computer over that God damn wizard haha. I'm not sorry thinking in this new version they should have included putting HIM in a sack to cause a time paradox (because of 5 obviously) and drop kicking him off the cliff outside. No you know, what? No, if Sierra was okay with this game, they'd be okay with a 'patching' of V to include the Wizard (his name escapes me at the moment) being upset this exact event occurs in the new updated Kings Quest universe. So please add an option to drop kick that F'n wizard cat off the mountain and show him drown after hitting the rocks below.

I tried to play this but the screen is so tiny it hurts my eyes and Ive tried all the settings to make it bigger and nothing does anything. so sad
