If Katakuri can use advanced conquerors then he wins hands down, but he cant. Having conquerors means nothing if its not advanced. The only time Zoro could actually do something was when Enma pulled out his conquerors haki.

A big factor here is this: we didn't see either combatant at their fullest capabilities. Now, some of what I'm saying may be speculative, but hear me out as I think they make sense. For katakuri, we can all agree that to an extent, he let luffy win. Their battle was more a battle of wills than a battle of just battle prowess. Katakuri let luffy win because he respected him. In my opinion this is undeniable. King on the other hand, this is where it gets speculative. Not only is he durable because of his Racial advantages, but he's also an ancient Zoan. We've seen that he is basically indestructible with his flames on, and pretty much too fast for most people to catch with his flames on. With this combination, it's understandable why we didn't see him use Haki, but it was confirmed that he has at least both observation, and armament. He probably doesn't usually go against opponents who can even damage him, and has the highest tier of durability seen so far in the series. And on top of that, King talks about how he sees the inferiority of other racws compared to his as a reason that it's impossible for him to lose. Using this, we can infer that he's practically fighting purely based off of racial ability. So we haven't seen them really go all out imo

The more he dodged King’s flames, he is using haki and his devil fruit. Which king is not using any stamina unless he’s physically fighting you. He can shoot off fire effortlessly and tire him out without getting tired himself. King wins this battle high diff though. King durability is off the chart plus his kicks and punches are too hard and aggressive. Katakuri is strong and has a mastery of his fruit and Haki but I don’t see him bypassing King defense.
Here's the truth... King outright wins this mid diff, he fights rooftop Zoro who is relative to a much stronger Luffy than Wholecake. Katakuri couldn't put down a weaker Luffy that is both slower and less durable than King... Future sight doesn't matter that much because we literally see in the Kaido fight that if you're not fast enough to react it proves pointless, King was giving Zoro a tough time with that speed. Zoro is the same guy that shook Big mom to where she warned Kaido to dodge, then he left a scar on Hybrid Kaido. Katakuri isn't doing any of that, but King goes onto fight this Zoro who gets even stronger in the fight.
I agree with the "Zoro didn't really had much of a hard time dealing with King". It's actually the same with Sanji vs Queen. Both Zoro and Sanji were having more struggle dealing with their power ups, but the moment they got their power ups together, they made easy work of King and Queen respectively. Which honestly, something I find a little luck luster in their fights. Yes, Zoro and Sanji wouldn't have beaten King and Queen without Enma and Germa Genes, but Zoro and Sanji's struggles were more about their power ups rather than King and Queen themselves. Unlike Luffy, whom after getting two power ups (ACoC and Awekening), just allowed him to reach Kaido's level but still have to actually fight hard to win.
I feel like y’all ain’t taking everything into consideration. To scale King you’d likely need to bring up Zoro’s own feats. Like how Zoro’s dragon twister was harming Kaido’s dragon form *(likely his most durable form because it’s covered in scales)* and yet it did literally nothing to King. Also take into consideration scaling Wano characters overall, frankly speaking Wano are way more powerful than Whole Cake characters. The same Luffy that done boxed up Katakuri who mind you was genuinely serious, got humbled by Queen of all people. This is base Luffy btw, even that Luffy was able to damage Katakuri. More things to take in mind is that Zoro in Wano is leagues above the Luffy who fought Katakuri, I mean leagues above, even if I don’t count Ashura, Zoro is still eagles above that of Luffy in Whole Cake Island. For the question of if King’s speed can outclass Katakuri’s future sight, for sure. Taking into considering Wano scaling it’s safe to assume that King using Lunarian abilities are faster than that of Katakuri’s reaction speed. Boi was blinking in and out of Zoro’s own perception, not Sanji levels of blinking in and out obviously but enough to show that King was probably one of the fastest characters in One Piece.
Zoro dodged king without fs so king isn’t even that fast. Also once zoro got acoc the fight was over in 5 pages. Once zoro figured him out easy work. Kat has ryou and he doesn’t need to beat king like zoro. He can beat him with 100 punches, 200 or even 1000. His stamina is elite.
oda does not scale like this. Kat did x to luffy who did x to queen etc... oda will always scale with portrayal and narrative over feats. Using ur logic i could make an argument that ulti washes kat off "wano feats vs wci feats". Do u really think it makes narrative sense taht ulti who is not even the strongest tobiroppo member to be stornger than a right hand man of another yonko crew? no it makes no fuking sense but using ur "scaling" it does because ulti did better against ryou luffy than kat did but i can guarantee u that if kat fought ulti oda would write it so that kat would win and u know this.... using these arguments to say that queen and king are over kat when that completly undermines the entire power structure that oda created is just nonsense and wouldnt make for a good story
King definitely has awaken his df. Just that i suspect, the way zoan awaken their fruit has not yet been fully explained yet. If you think about it, chopper has been the first zoan awakening we have seen in the series, and think of the way he completely changes shape upon his awakening. So with that in mind, i think the unstated awakening of zoan is in a shapeshifting way. They can morph and change their bodies however they please. See how queen incorporated tech into his physiology ? And sasaki (the guy who fought franky in wano) had the ability to spin his horn-collar thing around his neck to help him fly ? How that giraffe CP9 could disarticulate his neck to attack zoro ? Even how luffy who is a zoan changes shape and form with all his gears including G5. And finally how king stretched his head-horn like a spring to strike zoro.

Marco was also healing/slowing down the virus everyone had. If he did have to spend his energy doing that I think he could have single handily taken out King and Queen. I believe the only reason he didn’t is because he knew the strawhats needed to get stronger by fighting them. He even said Zoro was the star while he was waiting for him to recover.
I would say King wins, just for the simple fact that King fought an Advanced Conquerors, post vs Kaido, and Big Mom Zoro, and Kat couldn't defeat a WCI Luffy cleanly.

I'd give it to Katakuri, but it's by no means gonna be quick either way. This is a matchup i'm going to refer to as "Dodge Tank, vs Block Tank". So while King can take a lot of hits, King is going to struggle to ever hit Katakuri. So on both ends, landing damage worthy of beating the other is going to take a long time. I just respect dodge tanking more than block tanking. No matter how well you block, you're still taking chip damage. Dodging an attack fully negates the damage. IF you never get hit, your opponent could have infinite attack and it simply doesn't matter.

However he has been hit by, Ulti, Apoo & other random fodder. The same is obviously true of Kaido. Frankly speaking I felt like Kaido didn't have observation at all, until 1042. The dude just let everything hit him, because he simply doesn't care.
I believe katakuri will win. and to talk about Zoro vs King. Zoro didn't make light work of King. He was struggling a lot. Just because there were less panels for the fight does not mean fight was easy for zoro. Oda could have made 10 more chapters about zoro vs King. But there were lot more fights going on. Oda needed to wrap it up. I'm glad he didn't make too many chapters for a single fight.
You believe Katakuri will win, how exactly? His Offense wasn't enough to take down WCI Luffy after so many hits, how does he beat someone far more durable? He only has advanced Ken, he has no feats of ryou or conqueror's coating

Future sight is not infinite and requires Katakuri to stay calm, otherwise he becomes vulnerable when he gets angry or frustrated. Future Sight can be surpassed with enough speed which is something Kaido stated and King has enough speed based on the fact that he is faster than Zoro who was able to React to Hybrid Kaido on the rooftop who is faster than Base Kaido that had blitzed Pre Wano Luffy. Regardless of Future Sight, how does Katakuri damage King?
@@amansharma4358 Also, relating to the endurance part, if his attacks are not causing Luffy enough pain, they are in fact weaker. A stronger punch is going to hurt more + do more damage than a weaker punch. Also the comparison with Kaido's thunder bagua isn't a good one since Luffy at that point is far stronger than he was in WCI, as well as having higher endurance and durability.
so so so like king: has higher durabilty in my opinion slightly faster speed, ability to use flames a strong devil fruit, better armament haki and a pretty neat sword katakuri: better obsv and coc, more stamina, more creative use of df and his trump card is his future sight, and a pretty damn neat trident now in a battle the winner is usually decided by haki, df is not as significant as haki so since i said katakuri has better haki in 2 forms you would say he wins but listen in terms of coc haki katakuri cant actually use it in his move so he is left with those bursts which wont affect king so they each have one haki they are better at, in terms of devil fruit i think katakuri is slightly better with his df but king has higher speed and durability, once katakuri takes a big hit which he no doubt will by king of all people he starts going down bad speed is tthe counter to his future sight since if he cant react its no use so in combination with the flames, speed durability and everything i think that... kata only got hit by luffy when his concentration was knocked off or when king cobra was sped up to an insane amount i just don’t see king being that fast so idk if he can get a solid hit on kata before he runs out of stamina for his flames and kata is able to finish him with a big attack like buzz cut mochi

its RIDICULOUS to say king is faster than katakuri the dude after 12 hours of fighting having been stabbed (by himself) which was a greavious wound dodged black mamba infinite times this G4 mode makes FS useless if the user isnt immensly fast, the guy was so fast we had to get a slowed down blue screen emphasizing his speed and haki... his speed throught the whole fight has been much more highlighted than king's even if you look the manga luffy getting speed blitzed twice from a guy that got nerfed by the narrator since he didnt use his awakening vs snakeman mind you the attack speed of this form is unparalleled by anything we ve seen so far other than maybe kizaru's sacret jewel attack on marineford luffy during the snakeman activation was getting speed blitz in close range after aquering FS without katakuri using awakening AT ALL it was just pure close combat skill on his part with few minor exceptions and he STILL was superior to snakeman now imagine if he used his awakening.. we wouldnt have an MC king has never showed similar speed feats in fact even when attacked zoro on speed form he still got succesfully hurt meaning not only he has poor observation haki but his speed isnt what yall think it is mind you zoro isnt nowhere near as fast as katakuri and wci luffy overall luffy with fs partially capable of using it but still couldnt overcome katakuri in terms of speed and in general even when he went snakeman a form that is implied to counter the best qualities of katakuri.. katakuri's speed can only be matched and surpαssed by οnly a very few higher tier opponents and maybe manga sanji

Ok so I think it is a good matchup , but as far as fighters go, Katakurri seems to be the favorite. It does leave a question outside the matchup, Katakurri has conquerors Haki. This gives him a huge advantage in the matchup, and it makes you wonder. If he let Luffy win, should he really have CQH ? Conquerors do not heed or back down, which Katakurri did demonstrate. But he also submitted at the end , so did he really let Luffy win? If so I feel like he shouldn't have had CQH.

Katakuri is equal to WCI Snakeman's speed after several redirections. Katakuri = Snakeman Redirection Speed >>> Snakeman > Boundman >> King >= Gear 2 = Zoro in speed. King cannot compare to Katakuri in speed and Katakuri cannot compare to King in durability. Katakuri has the slight edge in endurance due to being a Conqueror Haki user. WCI Luffy is way less durable than King. How did you come to the conclusion that King would have broken bones or die instantly from that attack? It especially doesn't make any sense for a yonko right hand to one shot another yonko right hand, based on narrative, especially with one that appears later in the story.
In order to do this you have to cross scale. Kat fought Luffy and Zoro fought king. So we have to find someone who Luffy and Zoro fought. And we have kaido. Look what pre udon Luffy did to kaido, then look what Zoro did to kaido. This is the same Luffy that barely beat katakuri. Now look at what Zoro did. King is stronger by cross scaling. In simpler terms, the Luffy that beat katakuri got neg differed by kaido. And the Zoro that beat king was able to clash with and scar kaido. We can use that to say king is stronger.

I think Katakuri’s battle prowess allows him to beat king as well. King is very much a powerful opponent but Katakuri can match all of that and his haki is immensely powerful too. Just as Zoro who is incredibly dense figured out how and when he could strike King, Katakuri would be able to figure that out with his own battle IQ. A battle of attrition I believe only serves to allow time for Katakuri to understand King’s quirks and weaknesses.

In my opinion the only way king is actually landing a hit on Kat is if he turns his flame off which puts him in danger of taking damage from Kat that plus Kats advanced observation is going to be a predicament for king but I do believe king is slightly stronger
Haki feats don't matter when King has been shown to be invincible unless being attacked with some form of durability negation like advanced conquerors or something like Law's Gamma knife/Kroom Abilities

Haki Blooms while fighting stronger opponents. Kataukuri will have Advance Armament Haki and Advance Conquerer Haki while fighting King. So Katakuri wins
If king want to fight kattakuri he has to be fast, then king has to stop the flames to move fast. King without the fire lose easily. In manga it was clear.
And zoro was not struggling bro in the middle tweakin. U have to take into account zoro broke like all his bones in his body and than faught king and won lol
How? With what haki? With what stamina? With what feats? Katakuri had a better DF + awakened, much more skillful with his DF, very fast like a bit less faster than King, much smarter, better endurance... Kata definitely takes it high diff
(My opinion mind you) but I would give it to King but with very high dif, Zoro has to used awaken conquerors (I think that’s what it’s called) to win and we don’t know if Katakuri has it. But it mostly depends on the writing (because it’s hard to predict Oda and a person will lean a certain way because of *favoritism*) and what each of them do and what abilities they have because who knows what powers each of them exactly have but with what we currently know I would say King would win but it would be a long fight.
King doesn't have observation haki or any strong observation haki katakuri has advanced obs you need advanced obs to fight him it would not play out how people think it would play out

Then zoro who is stronger after rooftop is equal or weak then king before he masters acoc. Compared to whole luffy that weaker than act 1 luffy who got blitzed by base kaido and 1 shot
So explain how Marco was able to kick King and have him bleeding then? Clearly Katakuri has better ap than Marco. Marco is the one with only knockback and no pierce, whereas Katakuri has a trident and an advanced form of armament haki.

People think that Wano Zoro surpassed Whole Cake Island Luffy, or that Luffy in his base surpassed the version of Luffy that was one-shotted by Kaido, and that's the problem. Hurting Kaido isn't about strength, it's about haki mastery.û Marco showed how vulnerable King is to fast characters. Katakuri is at least comparable to Marco, and imo he is faster due to future sight.

King needs to unleash speed to hit Katakuri due to advanced Obs. Katakuri's advance Obs would figure out that's when King is weak. Katakuri wins that 8 out of 10 times. King is not bad, Katakuri is just that good.
No, just speaking facts and the facts says that King has nothing more to offer than Durability and Speed while Kata offers greater haki, IQ, skills, DF + awakened and feats... I love my boy King, but he gets clapped...
Katakuri is a character that lost to a g4 luffy that got 1 shot by a BASE kaido thunder bagua, luffy and the rest of the strawhats had 2 weeks to train before the raid and on rooftop. zoro arguably was the best performer of the 5 worst generation on rooftop untill luffy unlocked conquerors coating, he spooked big mom into telling kaido to dodge and blocked a combined attack from the 2 emperors long enough for law to teleport them to safty. that same zoro was questioning his ability to beat king and had to unlock conquerors coating to win, future sight or not katakuri is not a match for king.
Zoros attacks were far powerful than what luffy fought kat with... Although Kat has haki feats.. Kings attack are way scary than Kat... It just a matter of him landing it on Kat.. Which might not be possible because of future sight...
Base Luffy is equal to Zoro in speed. Katakuri is equal to Snakeman Luffy in speed. Katakuri >>>> Zoro = King in speed. They aren't touching Katakuri unless he decides to fight them like he did against Luffy where he nerfs himself and fights their style of fighting. He brawled Luffy instead of just Mochi Thrusting him with far more speed.
@@quinitofisher5063 old Luffy and current Luffy have the same Speed. Luffy only increased his physical strength and Haki from Udon and Kaido fight. He never got faster and if so only slightly. Base Luffy and Zoro were shown to be the same Speed against Holdem. I doubt Luffy got so much faster that he's faster than Gear 4 Snakeman now on base.... Fact is regardless, Katakuri is much faster than Zoro.
@@michellegibson5798 luffy got blitzed by kaido at the beginning of wano (something Kat couldn't do). Luffy then trains and now can't be blitzed by kaido and instead gets grazed by his attacks. Then once he gets conquers coating he is able to completely dodge his attacks. Luffy got faster. Also zoro doesn't have gears so he adjusts his speed like any normal person. There's no indicator that he's moving faster other than him keeping up with other people.
@@quinitofisher5063 I was waiting for you to mention the blitz. Luffy was blitzed WITHOUT using Future Sight because he had just thought his friends died so he was emotionally unstable. He know you can't use future sight unless you're calm and collected from the Katakuri sight. When Base Luffy got on the rooftop he was equal to Base Kaido in speed with Future Sight. Base Luffy can adjust speed same as Zoro so I don't get your point. Oda moved them at the same exact pace meaning they are equal in speed unless for some reason Luffy tried harder than Zoro which is highly unprovable. Katakuri is equal to Future Sight Snakeman Luffy in speed. He's much faster than Zoro. Nothing changes that right now. Zoro honestly shouldn't even have beaten King without him nerfing his flight advantage.
