Not necessariyl, a few of his attack don't use the scythe and do regular HP damage instead of decreasing the counter. You can survive them from full health even at level 1 with grand ribbon/ribbon/ribbon/ribbon setups, so it is technically possible to take damage in this fight on level 1 critical and not die.
I feel like it’s a big deal that Marluxia is one of only two characters in the entire series who can/does cast Doom. It feels like such an overwhelmingly powerful spell and it adds a lot to Marluxia that hes one of the only ones to cast it.
Marluixa is the one who can do it properly to make the player sweat too. The Phantom's version is kinda boring cause if you let a 60 second count down progress twice all the way to Sora, you need to re-think your strategy
@@breloompauncher5593 data young xehanort does not cast doom. mysterious figure in bbs does cast doom. it's the attack where he binds you and you have to mash x before the countdown timer over your head hits zero. here's a video of him doing it ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XfgLjFXS12I.html
@@spark9189 Huh never seen that one. Not that he needs it lol. Well this guy is wrong in that's It's 3 foes that cast doom. Marluxia and the Phantom are notable cause it's a big show and the condition of the battle rather than just a one-off attack
Finally beat him on critical at level 63 but it was his silhouette thingy. I always struggle with accidentally dash running instead of rolling and can never seem to get the quick pushes consistent so the beams coming out of the ground was SOOO HARD FOR ME!!!! I beat sephiroth earlier today after 3/4 hours and marluxia took maybe three although I spent at least 3 yestarday/into the morning on him and only 1hr on sephiroth yesterday maybe? that's being generous for the sephiroth thing though! All I can say is I hate marluxia dear god please those beams are the DEATH of me. (Also finding your lv 1 no hit crit videos are supper helpful! I've learnt how to not die, at least not as embarrassingly as before lol)
Nice timing on hitting Marluxia before he can make the three holes. Back in the ps3 version, I had to use Firaga to hit him at that time. Too bad with the latest patch in the 1.5+2.5 collection that Marluxia won't teleport to the center to make those holes anymore.
I wanted to know, is there any particular reason you didn't interupt 2 activations of his pool move? Was it to better hit a health thereshold, or just to show how to deal with that move too?
God, I don't know why but this is the hardest data fight for me by far! I've only got 4 left of the 13 but marluxia will always be a horrible fight for me! I should also mention I'm level 99 on normal, yeah I know I should be able to beat him ;-;. I think the pressure of the counter just gets to me. I've beaten all the games bosses except a few data fights.
@@raysmashbrawl176 Ohohoh yes. I realised that in the 4 month time since that comment myself. It was fucking beautiful wrecking marluxia silhouette that way. Fire is 100% the easiest way.
Can anyone answer this question for me? The no exp a biliary seems to have a pseudo damage mitigation property at full hp during certain boss fights. For example a morning star will 1 shot me at level 1 at full hp but vexen won't 1 shot me at full hp with no ice resistance. Is it just a weird coincidence or does it function like in kingdom hearts 1 where it is essentially an early second chance?
I'm extremely ashamed to admit it, but I don't know how to do that move where Sora jams his key into the ground and creates a crown emblem. Happens at about 1:32.
@@Zero-vu8se lmao I screwed around in KH2 after I posted that and realized I'm an idiot. I just always thought explosion was better so I never diverted.
Years ago i used to play kh2 fm on an emulator, and i swear this fight had marluxia having voicelines like "beginning of the end" or something like that. Did they take them out or am i going crazy?
It's because most of Marluxia's attacks only decrease counters instead of dealing HP damage, and since part members don't have counters, they just flinch and take no damage.
Go in the beast’s room if you want to fight his silhouette and you have to do the whole quest to unlock the room with the data fights in the memory cave ( enter the hole in hollow bastion before the entry of ansem the wise’s lab )
i always wonder if i can call these games hard on one hand the boss fights are amazing and can be challenging but on the other you can actually play the game taking no damage at level 1
