@@Larxia I mean I don't know how they're called. The...3D icons of the worlds when piloting the gummi ships? I would say "planets" but that implies there is more to the world than is actually available to you. I mean, "Planet Insomnia" doesn't seem quite right.

@@vadandrumist1670 Ah yeah. I don't really plan on doing that to join the world, wouldn't even know what to make the planet look like, like you just mentionned. I'm thinking more about a portal somewhere.

@@Larxia Well in that case the obvious places would be Twilight Town, Toybox, and Sanfransokyo. TT has the night-themed naming convention, Toybox has a spot dedicated to Final Fantasy, and SF would be connecting a city to a city. Could even justify it with an NPC saying they found another Data-World to explore.

I haven't finalized everything but I might have Regis in the throne room at night, when Noctis is at Caelum Via. The idea is that Noctis is on the throne during the day to replace Regis who's busy with the nifflheim peace treaty event. About the wall, it will be there, I have something special related to it, but it's not 100% faithful to XV, as in, I changed some lore explanations, with the idea that during the Nifflheim visit, the city itself is divided in multiple parts seperated by the walls, for more security, which will be my lore friendly reason for the barriers around the playable area. There's more stuff related to the wall but I won't say more for now. About Ardyn, no, nothing planned. I imagine you're thinking a secret boss or something. The problem is that I have absolutely no knowledge at all in programming / coding / unreal engine blueprint, each single thing to script is a huge nightmare and this is why the project has been going really slow for months now. Making custom events / scripts etc is insanely complicated and I can't do things like that on my own without people helping me. A boss fight with a new character would be impossible, you would have to build a new AI from scratch, rig the character and animate it correctly for all the attacks and everything, this is really not possible for me.

@@Larxia Thanks for the reply, how about a small easter egg for Ardyn, then? How about leaving some coins (with a handwritten letter for the purchase maybe?) on a hat shop counter or something (because in the Episode Ardyn DLC, you could buy hats (yes, hats)) 🤔. Or perhaps you could leave his Chancellor Hat in some hidden, dark corner of Insomnia maybe?

@@Larxia essentially I think this mod should be after noctis falls asleep in ffv13 not ffxv. So it’s just a dream world . But I love the progress you’re making. Gives me hope for kh4. I hope we get to see the theater from ffv13. Maybe we’ll see yozora taking up noctis role of leader . Fan theories are just that theories . Keep up the great work. It would be wild you develop kh4 before square ☠️

@@HeyShotgun It's not my vision for this project, I really want for people to visit insomnia from VS XIII / XV, as a world, to play what we couldn't play. I don't want for it to be a dream or something related to Yozora, it's really just about the whole VS XIII fantasy for me. If it was a "dream world" it would fell less impactful for me.

I don't know if it's going to be what you're looking for, but I have made a lot of live in the past covering some work on the mod. If you go to the very first one you'll probably find the most talk about the process and other things

No, FF XV uses a completely different engine so it would mean making the whole project from scratch. We also can't make custom maps for FF XV anyway =/ That's why I'm making this for KH3, it's the closest thing where it makes the most sense for this to exist, which also allows me to put VS XIII elements in it too, so it will be like visiting the original Insomnia from VS XIII / The original concept of XV.

It's supposed to be in front of the throne room, that's where I recreated it from scratch (it's not visible in this trailer, but it's there, I have some posts about it if you look at my community posts). However, funny fact, in Kingsglaive, the location of the rooms are inverted, the throne room is on the left side (when you enter the hall), and the conference room is on the right, while in the game, the throne room is on the right.

Oh it's a long story lol I am using assets from XV, but Insomnia is largely incomplete, so I had to recreate a lot of stuff from scratch. The map is expanded with a lot of my own areas added to it. For the NPCs, I'm using models from XV, but since this is a diffferent engine, I had to completely re rig and animate them from scratch, recreate all the mateirals inside unreal engine etc...

@@Larxia amazing, that lot spent time you do. Hope they not take down like what take two/rockstar do to modder (sorry my English btw)

If you have a Steam Deck OLED it can handle it

Ahah thanks 😄 I know that a lot of people are interested about the mods but only play on consoles. I was thinking that maybe around launch, I'll try to host a stream where I will let people play the mod in remote play from my PC or something, not sure how I'd organize that, but something to let people who can't play it on console, try it.
