@Random He was a hero. Romania was doomed from the beginning. By turning against the Nazis he managed to save Romania from total destruction by the Soviets. Educate yourself before you make a comment.
@@osamabinladen2018 You dumb? Read about the Romanian-Hungarian war of 1919 where The Soviet Hungarian Republic invaded the Kingdom of Romania just to miserably fail
@Zepefu Charlemagne was not a German emperor but he was a *Germanic* emperor as the Franks were a Germanic group that occupied a region of modern day France, Western Germany and the Lowlands.
@@s.a.g5417 Brazil was colonized by Portugal, thanks to that in Brazil the Portuguese Language (which is one of the romantic languages) is spoken, there is a huge Part of the Population who descend from Portuguese, Spanish and Italians. So yes indirectly Brazil is related to Rome .

To anyone who asks what "Drum bun" means, it means farewell in Romanian. Farewell our Royal Majesty, our beloved King and true brave patriot Mihai I, all the Romanian nation and the future generations will owe you respect, remembrance and will be thankful and grateful to have had a true man of duty and honour for his country! Our country unfortunately will never have true any great leaders like Mihai I, Ferdinand I and Carol I (probably one in several millions of romanians), because most of our politicians, former and current head of state, influential non-political people, former regimes (both fascist and communist) and the society itself has led this beautiful country in continuous misery, theft and indifference by others. Why of all the EU where are doing worse than our eastern neighbours, why we are doing worse and have a greater poverty rate than countries who are in economic crisis (Italy, Spain, Greece, etc.), why generations of people have to suffer from corruption all around the country whether left or right wing, political or non-political. This has destroyed our dignity and comparable to low living standards countries like Russia, Belarus, Serbia, Ukraine, etc (no offence but these are the facts!) Why our magnificent, resourceful and rich (yes, our country is rich in natural resources) have just done absolutely nothing to develop and to have basic normal things as they have in all civilised western countries (highways, decent public schools and hospitals, decent and modern public service not and prehistoric, corrupt and bureaucratic one, etc.), to let this country and its citizens (also EU citizens) neglected by uneducated, primitive, selfish and opportunistic bunch of mafia-like gangs of rulers thinking their position is so powerful and invincible that they rule the country how they want and fool its population is heartbreaking. For decades after the WWII all things happening were and are a mess, many people continue to flee from here due to low salaries, conditions and mentality. A lot of things to change and nobody is taking action for, the country is suffering and is always seen as the shame of the EU. But that doesn't mean all Romanians don't have european and liberal values, national and civic values, don't want to live in a better and modern Romania and that we are all corrupted and satisfied by the governments and presidents that have ruled us like thugs and were in fact douches and bastards full of shit in their mouths. If Romania remained a monarchy and didn't had dirty regimes, responsible statesmans and a divided and narrow minded society we would have been way better than any of our neighbours (well not necessary equivalent to a western european country, but perhaps better than countries who are in crisis and non-EU countries with false democracy, chauvinist and populist leaders) We need to focus on our citizens', country's and future generations' wellbeing, not how if the EU or western leaders give us a cookie or not because we were "good or obedient boys". Leaders with dignity and respect to the country and its citizens, who acknowledge the situation and who solve it, these are peoples who worth the respect and gratefulness not only of an country but of an entire world population. My greatest appreciations to Norway (gueesed if you're called Norwegian Baron) who isn't the perfect place in the world but its one of the nations most close to it, with admiration and respect to the brave Norwegian King Haakon VII and the brave Norwegian Royal Family who had risked their own lives to oppose the tyranny of the Nazis, just like King Mihai I did to fascist leader Marshall Antonescu and the awful communist and stalinist regimes that had to come. Trăiască Regele - Lenge Leve Kongen - Long live the King! 👑🇷🇴🇳🇴
Mihai I never showed any act of patriotism. He was manipulated by the communists and helped in getting communism in romanai and ordered the execution of Marshal Antonescu. Antonescu was a *true patriot* , not Mihai which ran in switzerland. And If you think Antonescu is a traitor he is not, If you didn't know, he saved over 100.000 jews. Instead of getting them in concentration camps he left them in the middle of nowhere in transnistria and survivors still say that Antonescu saved their lives. And he also masacred romanian fascist supporters and got bessarabia united with romania.
After what Hungary did to us in 1940, where the invading hungarians killed kids, women, elders to replace romanian population with hungarians , I would say NO, sorry , maybe in the next 100 years we will forget hungary and be friends
@@robertc6701 that was in the past but it is important to remember that hating somebody for what their ancestors did is stupid. we were enemies in the past, friends in the present and only the gods' know what in the future. transylvania is still ours though
Such a handsome man! Oh, why do we get old? :'((( And why Romania did not invite him to be their king again, when the communism fell in 1989? He would have make it a rich country as he never was interested in increasing his own wealth - unlike today's politicians in Eastern Europe - but he always looked at the interest of the Romanian people. He was a king with a pure heart and good intentions. R.I.P.
@o k the biggest problem with the Hungarians, is that they believe in a falsified history. Not everyone. In Hungary many people do not even know about the debate "who was in Transylvania first", but in Transylvania, the Hungarians are very aware of their myths. And their clock stopped in 1918. In contrast, in Hungary as time passes, irredentism decreases. There are still irredentists here, but they are in minority. In Transylvania they are still in majority. Even if they do not show up with irredentist symbols, such with a "Great Hungary" (historic Hungary) map, and they seemingly get along with the Romanians. Most of them wish to restore the pre-Trianon borders. But don't worry, their wish is completely irrealistic:-)
@o k What do you mean by "I saw good hungarians"? How was their goodness visible? It's interesting for me that you solely blame the media. It is also media, no doubt, but I see also problems within the individuals. In the Szekely populated area, have you had any negative experience? For example when you ask people something, all of them answer you in Romanian, or not everybody?
@o k I can understand these feelings too. After so many years of oppression finally beating Hungary. Probably such thoughts today are kept alive by the continuous trigger coming from the Hungarians and to annex whole Hungary is a sort of reaction to that. But everybody knows that these things are absurd, and even at that time were absurd. The allies decided on the border and none of them, not even the French would have agreed on taking all Hungary. But even if it happened, there would had been a huge resistance against it from the Hungarian side, Romania could not have hold the area together. By the way, the Romanian army could freely walk in, because the Hungarian troops were on the north, outside of the country - as far as I know. Anyway, today we are both in NATO.
