It's not even a sensible comparison at this point, and frankly, I'm not the biggest fan of this new movie compared to any featuring Caesar. However, that's what makes Noa remarkable. He embodies the essence of a true successor to the GOAT, and it's evident from the ending-which, by the way, was one of my favorite parts-that Noa possesses the potential to match and perhaps even exceed the GOAT. I get goosebumps just thinking about it. The day we get a trailer for the sequel will be magnificent, mark my words. Noa has already achieved GOAT status in his own right. Mae and Rocka have also won my affection.

A “Planet of the Apes” movie will always have to feature some element of humans trying to survive being hunted by apes - that’s what the franchise is about, by definition. I mentioned the Jurassic franchise in my original comment, as a reference. Every Jurassic film will always have to feature humans running from dinosaurs, and trying to survive. The same goes for this franchise, but with apes. Problem is, if they try to venture too far away from the source material, and try bold, fresh, new and original ideas, fans will then complain about that. You can never please everybody, and I get that. But, there are still so many more interesting ideas that could be explored. What about bad humans and bad apes teaming up, against good humans and good apes? What about apes discovering how to create new, threatening technology, that humans don’t comprehend, and have a hard time figuring out? The list goes on and on as far as what they could do, so the only point I’m trying to make is, it gets tiring when you see the same movie played out over and over, with only slight tweaks and variations in the story. Same as Jurassic, Star Wars, etc…
