Great analysis. Personally, my guess is that Encanis is the true evil force in this story. And I think he is the Cteah. With Iax being more of a tragic victim of the Cteah in the same vain as Kvote. The story of Menda chaining Encanis (the most evil of all demons) to the great iron wheel, I think is analogues to Encanis being bound to a tree in the Fea. but I think they likely could not destroy him (keep him behind the door of death) so binding him to the tree makes more sense. The archery of the Sith / and the link with archery to the Adem is also interesting here. It would mean thet Menda likely founded the sith and they are likely the starting point for the Adem also, as they were first very focussed on archery. Perhaps the Sith were Menda's faction in the Fea, and the Adem where his faction in the mortal realm. In order to chase and kill those who had spoken to Cteah and had fled into the mortal world. They would want to kill those people from a distance with arrows the same as they do in Fea.

maybe the doors of stone refers to waystones. all of them are like gateways that are off, but kvothe does something, maybe like opening the box from meluan. and basically all of the gates become open to the fae again. now all these creatures from the fae are flooding into the mortal realm. maybe the lackless door is a specific waystone gate.

That’s basically my theory but with one less step. I think the Lackless door leads to Faeriniel which is a waystation type of place that leads to all other waystones. And within Faeriniel is the doors of stone, which I believe is the circle of greystones, and he unleashes the flood there. Which would fit with what you say as releases the flood inside Faeriniel would be a place that has exits all throughout the world.

@@kingkillerpodcast8559 Yeah I def think Faeriniel is the same thing. Perhaps the Lackless door is in the mountains and 4 plate door in the archives but have been locked from this side. They mention somewhere that the gateways can be locked. But now I wonder whether each gate is a portal to another location within an existing realm (likely the fae), or if there are multiple different realms. The shapers created many beautiful things and the hermit seemed to be pretty knowledgeable about what the folding house was. So are these all gates to the same place in different locations or are there tons of different realms. I can't think of how to put it but like Faeriniel may be a hub. like wreck it ralph lol. One general area that is connecting lots of different places. Someone may have created some kind of prison realm to hold Iax. I also think theres something to be said about Kvothe already shaping songs, shaping stories, and now can shape his cloak

Yeah I think it likely that behind the Four Plate Door is Faeriniel. It’d make sense for the university to sprout out of a place that has a portal to a location that leads to everywhere. It’d be a place where powerful people would want to set up shop at. So I think it will be what’s behind that door, as well as I believe it’s almost certainly where King Feyda is at.
