thanks mate watched this at smoko putting a couple on my ute at the moment had a look and if you pull the brace out [which I have now done] and run a drill through the cast aluminium[you could use a file] I now have up to 10 deg movement which should take care of the frame bending
Спасибо! Благодаря Вам, я сделал выбор в сторону прямого тента вместо веерного типа Thanks! Thanks to you, I made a choice towards a straight awning instead of a fan type
You could get a fitting made for the roof rack to hang it lower off the side of the truck or even easier an extension foot on the 2 front legs. If one foot had an extension on over night it wouldn’t bend the aluminium.
Thanks for the comment. If I hang it much lower I won’t be able to open the doors I only have about 3 cm clearance now. The leg extension is a good idea.👍 However I have found d no problem and usually drop it lower so rain runs off.
we have one. once you have worked out which way to face it-which is only an issue the first time, it is very easy to erect. I can do it on my own easily. (Mid 50s lady 5.4"). A lot of cold comes in in winter from under the 4wd, we place bags and food boxes around to to minimise draught. They are always on FB Market place for sale, get one off there cheap if you want to trial.
I will set this up for lunch while travelling. When shade or shelter is needed. There for quick is better. Less time setting up or packing up means more time spent enjoying camping or enjoying the view at lunch
