The BEAST is my favorite. DB, Orion and banshee are great but you can get similar experiences at other parks. The Beast is unique and one of a kind. It will never be replicated.
Kings island is my home park and it is truly amazing. #1 is orion, then mystic timbers, diamondback, banshee, bat, racer, adventure express, beast, flight of fear, stunt coaster, invertigo. Monster is very underrated. It's personally my favorite flat ride at the park combining intense spinning with strong forces. I average around 60 rpm during the ride but have gone upwards of 180 rpm or 3 rotations per second. Tom and chee is a great place to eat and skyline is a classic. I'm predicting a zamperla multi launch coaster next. Bold prediction but with the success of top thrill 2, I see a real chance of it happening!
Bat is arguably top 5 worthy. Like if someone said it was there #4 or 5 i would absolutely accept it. It’s so slept on it’s insane. Front row is the way to go!
I finally got my first KI visit last Saturday, Orion is definitely on my top 5 without a question, the ejector airtime and the first drop was priceless!
14:18 Also, Invertigo and Banshee are both inverted and Flight of Fear is indoors. Kings Island has been missing a traditional non-inverted outdoor looper since the removal of Vortex.
My home park! Absolutely love it there. Orion is obviously awesome and most people's favorite. But mystic timbers is such a great ride. It's a must ride every time I go

Nice video! There are more markings up in the Action Zone area of the park, and in the parking lot near Timberwolf. It would be neat to see KI get a coaster interacting with the entrance; plaza area like what Leviathan does at CW. It looks like Camp Snoopy is coming along and won't be too much longer till it's finished. Cheers
I just wanted to say Get well Matt. I lost a friend from work recently and it's hard to even show up, so I feel ya. Diamondback is KI #2 behind the Hall and Oates Coaster at #1 and the Pseudo-Giga at 3.
Had an ah ha moment on my 1st visit yesterday. The extreme spinner (but full circuit) starting in the old AZ area, with the inverted launch being a front gate element. The more I think about it, the more I can see it happening 😂
As for what I could see Kings Island do in the next few years, I’m looking at the following: - I think that it’ll be time for Boo Blasters on Boo Hill to get re-imagined into a new version of the Phantom Theater and making it a part of International Street. This would involve making the ride trackless, adding some set pieces, animatronics, projections, as well as creating new versions of the original scenes. - The Vortex plot of land would be home to a new Mack Rides Extreme Spinner, that could pay homage to the original Vortex coaster. - Kings Island’s Soak City water park would receive a much-needed re-theme, similar to the South Bay Shores at CGA and Carolina Harbor at Carowinds. This would involve repainting some of the slides, adding in some theming, and opening a few new slides. - The park’s Coney Mall area would get some new flat rides (including a Ferris Wheel) as well as a park museum. - The current trains on The Bat would get replaced with brand-new ones from Vekoma, similar to Vampire at Chessington World of Adventures. All in all, I’m excited to see what Kings Island has planned for the future. BTW, I loved your video. 😀👍👍
I’m so excited I’m about to go on the 24th hopefully with my friends and I haven’t been for a long time I wanna say it’s been 5 or 6 years and the last time I went I remember it genuinely being so fun so hopefully it’ll be fun this time too
the reason for a new coaster in the front is to balance out the crowds. everyone loves the great coasters in the back of the park and that area is packed. the area from coney (racer) to area 72 and up to rivertown is just crazy. lat summer spent a week there and on friday nite beast/d back all over an hour wait and at the front banshee/bat were walk ons.
Probably my weirdest post ever but… here goes. I’ve got a weird heart rhythm quirky thingy. It’s all good 👍. Been trying to stay fit and healthy. Love your content and it looks like you’re taking good care of yourself. Just looks like you’ve been working out. Inspired to follow your path. Can’t wait for my first visits to CP and KI this year.
It’s crazy to think KI has 3 big spots to put coasters. In 12 to 15 years, they could add 3 stand out coasters to an already stacked lineup. Hopefully, 1 of them is top 10 worthy world wide. Myself, I would like an entrance interactive coaster. The entrance is so dated, and badly needs an upgrade. They could make a massive complex with an enclosed amphitheater to replace Timberwolf, and a restaurant with big conference rooms for year round use. I do like the current entrance how it blocks the view until you get inside welcoming you to Main Street.
I have to say I am surprised that Snoopy's Soap Box Racers isn't open yet. Cedar Fair parks, especially Kings Island, are usually great at having their new rides ready by the beginning of the season.

Too hard to choose my favorite at KI. Beast for laterals and nostalgia. Mystic for most consistent experience in any weather. Diamondback for floating. Orion for flying and Banshee for intensity. Depends on the weather, time of day and what mood I'm in.
It's a shame KI hasn't had a game-changing coaster in years after being a pioneer consistently for so long. And I hope they change that with the Vortex plot. But the lineup is doggone solid, even if the coasters aren't all super unique. Impossible to pick an easy "best" or favorite from the selection, but DB, MT and Beast are all very up there for me.
I love adventure express. I wish there were more fun easy coasters like that. It has been years since I rode it and I just remember a nice smooth easy ride through a lot of trees. They also had mist in some areas. It was nice on a hot day. Other than that is the Beast. Best rollercoaster! Especially at night.
Diamondback is my favorite coaster, but I have a really really big soft spot for Adventure Express and I probably ride it more than Diamondback lol (especially since it’s always a walk on)
Went to KI today..lots of kids there and The Bat, Beast, Drop Tower, Eiffel Tower, and Back lot stunt coaster were all down. If your going get a fast pass.
