This was the exact same mistake I did when learning them and my coach gave pretty much the same advice you did. What I like the most about this is how easy of a fix this is. Such an easy solution. So easy to implement and it WILL fix the problem. I love it when it works out like this. Great explanation!

I have been unable to string together two muscle ups together for several months. I think you helped me find the missing link because I am exactly like the girl in that video. Thank you! You got anything for strict HSPU? I can press more than my weight overhead, but I can’t manage a single strict rep. Only kipping for me.

I had the exact same problem and for the life of me couldn’t figure out what I was doing wrong! Today I watched this video and went straight to the gym and did 4 unbroken mu!

Great video, so good to see how to do it along with how not to do it for comparison, you only usually see one or the other. Could you do the same for stringing together chest to bar? I havnt made it to the muscle up stage yet.
