This makes me wanna make a fan reboot to this anime tbh. I love the original but a Kirby series that gets into some game stuff other than Nightmare in Dreamland would be cool as hell
Not gonna lie, if Marx was in the show, I think he'd have more of a cheshire cat-like personality. Basically, he helps but only if he WANTS TO so he wouldn't be much help anyways lol

Naming towns after the country their in is not uncommon, very much so for purpose built capitals, which given King Dedede just declared himself king, Cappy Town might be? Also other countries that fall under this are Panama, El Salvador and Guatemala, Algeria and Tunisia. so make of that what you will. Sorry i'm a huge nerd for geography.

Sure the franchise was only 9 years old when this anime came out in Japan, but there were already 6 games released for the main series itself. The changes to the lore of this show's universe was actually by HAL Laboratory. Yeah believe it or not they had creative control over this show and decided to make the antagonist always be Dedede and whatever monster he orders for the episode.

Knuckle Joe shows up later on in the series, too. So there is literally no reason to not include Marx - not even as a cameo! - other than “Sakurai didn’t feel like it.”
1:34 I beg to differ, I think the most gruesome thing in the Kirby franchise is EVERYTHING Zero did in Kirby’s dreamland 3. Also yes, I do too agree that Marx should of been in this anime.
Meta Knight is probably just BSing his knowledge about Korble's abilities, but he says it with such conviction that people just assume he knows what he's talking about.
In episode 93, Meta Knight actually admits that he didn't know Kirby's copy ability in the moment (Throw Kirby), and Tiff actually calls him out since he was supposed to know these things. But then a few minutes later, he's all like "Oh wait, I remember now, that's Throw Kirby!". Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if he only said he "remembered" just to save face after being publicly shamed by a dumb child. XD
I literally binge watched the whole series, in my opinion Dedede and escargoon are freaking hilarious (They can be assholes sometimes, but still make it up in the next episode), some of the plots are boring yet entertaining at the same time? Maybe cuz I just love the voices , Idk well the only down side is the censorship and some of the characters, Id honestly just rate this anime a 6/10
You know Kirby got a lot more gruesome than that ages ago. Kirby's Dreamland 3 had the final boss, zero, attacked by bleeding on Kirby, and that's just one example!
Blade Knight is weird. Sometimes, he sounds like total gibberish, but sometimes, in the exact same scene, I understand him perfectly (9:58 "We've arrived for the king.") It's like his tongue is the living embodiment of Mandela.
Fun fact (that I may or may not be misremembering or have accidentally made up, not sure): Blade Knight's lines being screwed up in episode 1 was actually an accident caused by Eric Stuart, but they thought it was hilarious and decided to just make that a running gag that no one bothers to point out in a meaningful way.

Tiff and Tuff absolutely should’ve been Ribbon and Adeleine, and Tokkori (though I enjoy him as he is already) definitely shoulda been Marx. I’m sure there are more game characters that could’ve been included rather than the OCs, but I just woke up from a nap and I don’t feel like doing much thinky stuff rn.
Probably not Ribbon considering she's stated to reside on another planet, and not Adeleine since one of Sakurai's two explicit rules for this show is "no humans". But I'll take Marx having Tokkori's role easily.
God, I would love for an animé appearence of basically every Kirby character. Just imagine Marx, Magolor, Susie and fucking Void Termina ripping house. Also please, maskless Meta Knight.
I'm late, but Lola is a real name. And don't say it's because Fofa/Lola is supposed to be gender-neutral so we can split Fofa/Lola into a boy and a girl, they reveal earlier in that episode that you can still have a gender to be split into a boy and a girl.
this was a good one and I am super happy to hear you'll be talking about more episodes! I only ever watched around 10 episodes of this anime back when I was a tween and stopped because I got bored, but since then I've played a few of the newer games and Kirby has probably become my favorite video game franchise just from that experience.
That wasn't entirely true until halfway through, where 4Kids pushed episodes 96 and 97 to episode 50 solely for the purpose of advertising it that one time.
As someone who legit loves the anime, I must also admit it's very...questionable in how it adapts the source material. Like seriously, WHERE THE HELL IS DARK MATTER?!
15:44 Well maybe a theory could be is that meta knight is a Kirby but he either undeveloped his copy ability or he just chose not to use it ever again and chose a different method of fighting hence why he is so good with a sword
That exists… I will be sending my meta-knight's to track down everyone who ships that, and use the halberd, my massive flying battleship, and use it's 153 guns to blow their houses out of the sky.
But because of the cameo, he is one of the last remaining anime characters alive. After 2003, most of the kirby anime characters went missing, including anime kirby, anime meta knight, fumu/tiff, bun/tuff, every cappy. that annoying ass bird dipshit, any many more. Some even left their items behind. Because if it's inclusion in squeak squad, the anime battleship halberd still sits in it's hanger, abandoned and collecting dust. Today, escargoon lives in the almost abandoned anime castle dedede with captain waddle doo and like 10 anime waddle dees.
I'm going to assume the reason Dedede was so mad the monster was being a monster is because it was wrecking his castle and being a monster in his castle and taking over his mind, when he wanted it to do all that stuff to cappy town, personally i would say that is a reasonable assumption that the dubbers just assumed everyone would arrive at when they realized they had forgotten to imply that in the script very well.
