It's funny seeing this everywhere nowadays. I was the one that leaked it years ago. I had actually held onto it for a while before I got tricked into giving it to someone and the rest is KISStory!

Hey Dave. If I remember correctly it surfaced in 2003 right? Maybe it would be better if this wasnt exposed, and lived as a rumour. On the other hand things like "I" video surfaced through years... Its Just a matter of time

The very first time I thought the song was written by Peter and was sung by him (same thought in "Hard Luck Woman"). But then I found out Paul wrote this and sung the first part of it.

The decision of having Ed to replace Peter for this show was made after the doors to the venue was opened, so I don't think they had any time to rehearse any of the songs. They just put the makeup on his face and went out to play. Of course, being Peter's drum tech, he had heard the songs many times before, and knew them well, so I guess there was no problem to step in for his friend that night.

I would have felt like I just hit the lottery if kiss came up and told me that I need to play drums for one show! I have never had a shaved face since high school but definitely would've been the fastest way to get me to shave my face

I saw the original 4 only AFTER the reunion.'96,'98,'01. Ace didn't play too bad. Shout it out Loud solo tore my head off!🤟 Pauls voice was still awesome. Gene has ALWAYS made little mistakes with the lyrics.Played great.Peter too all 3 times I saw them. It was like a dream every time because I didn't think I'd EVER see the original 4.👍 That's nostalgia for ya.🤟

I think Paul was honestly the only one who could’ve sang this song in this show. Something about Gene and Ace’s voices, I don’t think either would’ve fit singing this song.

@@user-iv4px7ni8j But the platform is supposed to be a bit stable and solid. If it rocks back and forth too much, something could fall, including the drummer. I worked road crew for a Kiss tribute band and had to help assemble a hydraulic lift a few times for outside shows. They rarely used it inside. We made sure everything was safe and secure. Believe me, this sort of show is unlike any other. Lots of things we had to go over a few times before the band went on. The pyro guy had it harder making sure he put in the right amount of powder into those pots.

@74 torino Paul Stanley wrote in his book that it was Peter's Hands. I believe Peter wrote that it was his arms in his own book. But you better believe, if drugs or Peter's complaining about money were the reasons he didn't play this show, Paul would have been honest about it in his book. Peter's attitude and drugs held him back a lot during this era, but physical pain was definitely the reason he didn't play this show.

Obviously You're not a musician.. Eric Singer is a world renowned drummer with his own signature series snare, one of the best sounding drums on the market, Ed Kanon is some has-been's drum tech.. i'm afraid there's any comparison whatsoever.. and as far as I'm concerned Singers drum patterns are a massive reason Revenge put kiss back on the map

After seeing a few of the reunion shows, this is by far one of the worst. Even paul sings it pretty good, the drummer is a little slow, and it seems like everyone is playing sloppy because of it, especially ace. I wonder if all of the lost cities tour was like this.

So Kiss "Really" ripped the audience off at this show. Yea some may say 'Rather Em Play Than Reschedule', but that's if ur a big Kiss fan (which I'm not) Gene & Paul would put anybody in that makeup & try to pass em off as long as the can make a $buck$ off of it

I've watched two other videos of them playing Black Diamond from this era today, and in each one, Paul and Gene weren't in tune with each other during Ace's solo. But when Ace and Paul play together, it sounds fine (minus the one big mistake here), so maybe it was the bass? I don't know.
