He reminds me of a guy I worked with a long time ago. Guy came and applied for the job several times without getting hired. Basically BEGGED for the job, until they finally gave in and gave him a chance. He was terrible. One of the slowest, easily distracted people we had. He'd just stand and stare off into space if you didn't tell him precisely what to do, while most people can see what needs to be done, after a few days of working there. One day they assign him the kitchen runner. It's just a position that we all fiilled at various times. Making sure everything is stocked, mini freezers, cooked product, and all supplies and then jump between stations that need a hand. At the end of the shift he asked when he was going to get a raise for his "New position". It wasn't a promotion, but just a position that any of the kitchen staff would be assigned to on a particular day. Nearly every day they had to have a talk with him that he seriously needed to improve his performance if he wanted to keep his job. At the same time he kept talking about how he should be promoted and get a raise. He's being told how bad he's doing and doesn't even deny it, but at the same time thinks he should be promoted.

And lets be honest, in all the episodes he's done....the servers are pretty universally the only people who are doing their bloody jobs properly. Under shit conditions by the owners, often, as well. Usually when the servers are a problem, it's because the server is one of the damn owners!

@@JackCarregan Actually it's illegal to take the tips UNLESS you pay them minimum wage, most places will be allowed to pay around 2.35$ an hour and give them tips but if you take the tips you must be paying them minimum wage which is 7.25$ an hour where I'm at idk how it is in diff places.

My aunt’s boss bought a restaurant a while ago and did the same thing. He said he gave the workers choice. They could either take minimum wage per hour and give up the tip OR take the tip and get paid like $3/hour. The workers chose minimum wage. The owner took the tip if there was tip. That’s when learned about this tip business. It’s horrible. Why can’t they get paid minimum wage and collect tips?

Sadly this happens sometimes. Management will take 'cuts' of their servers tips that do not belong to them. I had a manager that took a 70% cut of my tip because they called for a reservation and she answered the phone therefore shes 'entitled' to that tip because she did the leg work. Thankfully, I quit and told them they're going to be out of buisness in three years. Only took two. Do not screw with server's tips.
