This was sooo helpful. Decided after all these years to use the dicer kit and couldn’t figure out how to close the lid . Watched this and found I was placing the dicer in the wrong direction . Diced home fries in seconds Thank you
This was the best investment I've ever made for my kitchen! I love it! But, I sure miss you on QVC! Please come back to visit at least. We love you and your demonstrations ❤️
Hi, guys, you're awesome. Keep presenting. That was the best demonstration...like ever, lol. Loved it! I cannot wait to use my machine tomorrow and into next week which is going to make my life a lot easier...I absolutely love the kitchen...and yes, I work full time, lol, fulltime, and no, I am not affiliated in any way. An awesome machine guys just brilliant. You guys rock. Becky
Very impressive/ I've been wanting to own something like this type you're demonstrating. I live in Ottawa in Canada, I'd appreciate getting more information in purchasing one including delivery charges. Thank you very much in anticipation of hearing from you.
Why on earth can't Kitchenaid send an instructional video with this kit????????????????? Or, at the VERY least, have tutorial videos on their website. Is that really asking so much, come on. I am SO frustrated with them. GIVE US INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO USE THIS MACHINE, STEP BY STEP, INCLUDING ONE FOR THE DICER, IF WE GET FRUSTRATED AND SEND IT BACK CAUSE WE CAN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO USE IT, THAT DOESN'T BENEFIT THEM OR US.
+Dot Schilling Also, when I was dicing the potatoes, the machine started going around in a circle. Going to try putting a mat under it, but again, Kitchenaid, help us out, give us suggestions (AFTER THE INSTRUCTIONS) on how to overcome some of these things.
Bob Schilling they have instructions, just line up the little tabs with the holes. I cant imagine anyone not being able to use this. It took me a few minutes of trial and error but then I read the instructions and it works
Note that the processor is seated on a NON SKID pad..... that would have good to know prior to me making dough, and turning around to get water (a micro second) ....then the processor is walking off the counter on to thank goodness a rug on floor, only thing that broke was the hard plastic big mouth. Learn from my mistake.
@@mlibby05 i know it is an old thread. How do you like your breville so far? In particular how do you like breville’s dicing function? Is it as easy as kitchenaid one showed in this video? Thank you in advance!
@@Cltar317 The design is very similar. The Breville has no plastic on the dicing plate and may stay sharper for longer since you can rotate the disc. It also will dice things all the way around the machine. I haven't used the KitchenAid other than watching this video but the Breville works great. We also have all 3 sized dicing disks/plates for ours. Cleaning the disc's are a bit of a pain but as long as you are dicing enough food the dicer is a huge time saver.
@@mlibby05 thank you so much Mark! That’s exactly the information I was looking for. Do you think the dicing kit for breville is worth it( 8mm and 16mm)? Or 12mm that comes with the processor is enough for regular vegetable diving? Appreciate your information 🙏🙏
@@Cltar317 I got the 8 and 16mm discs for free as part of a promotion. I was able to submit my information and receive the free dicing discs even though the promotion expired so you may want to try as well. Otherwise yes I do like the smaller size dicing discs for some food and we use the larger ones occasionally.
Grrrrowling, printed instructions which consist of 7 pictures and no printed words, I'm good and figuring things out but this was a pain, shouldn't be this hard. Once I watched the entire video from QVC I got everything to fit and work properly. Better instructions should come with the dicer attachment. I hope to love this appliance as soon as I get use to it. PLEASE MAKE BETTER INSTRUCTIONS, or put a youtube video out just on putting the dang thing together.
I had trouble getting the dicer together, could not get the lid to work then realized I had the white dicer upside down, flipped it over and it worked :)
BK thank you so much for posting I was pulling my hair out trying to get my dicing lid to lock and found your post. YESSSSSS!! I had my WHITE dicing dicer UPSIDE DOWN!! I had not used the dicer in so long I had forgotten woe to assemble it. THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!!
If you not pushing the potato down how can it go so quickly down and why your upper limbs can not be seen so we can see there is no tention from applied force.
I love my dicing kit when I cat get the lid to close properly when it's installed. It's so tight I can barely use it. And yes, I've triple quadruple checked every aspect over 20 times. Poor design. It's like the plastic slowly swelled up. I've only been using it for about 6 months, but I can't get it to seat properly anymore.
Seems to be something keeping the lid from seating properly if dicing kit is used; instruction book is worse than useless. I'm thinking KA makes a fortune on replacement lids.
Why haven't you called QVC or Kitchen Aid --there is know excuse for that -You can still get help go to a store In your area that Bed Bath and Beyond --Sears - Williams and Simonia they will show you also producthelp.kitchenaid.com/Countertop_Appliances/Food_Processors_and_Choppers/Food_Processor_Assembly_and_Operation/Dicing_Kit_and_Storage_Case_Assembly
FYI even if you order this off of KA site you do not get the WIDE MOUTH feed tube only the skinny on with the dicing kit.. How come she goes from the dicing to slicing with a different feed Tube? advertising at its best!
Jason Lowe its a completely different lid, the wide mouth lid wont go on the dicer for some reason, Ive tried and its kind of silly to have a whole other lid but it keeps the dicing kit in one whole piece so whatever
There are 2 reasons you can't use the wide mouth feed tube with the dicing blade. The dicing area is much smaller than the wide mouth and if you tried to put a long potato in it, the first blade would slice it but only the center part could get through the dicer and the rest would jam the machine. Also, for safety (so you can't cut off your fingers), the machine will not turn on until the wide mouth pusher is inserted half-way down into the opening because It has contact points that the dicer assembly doesn't have. The dicer is intended to run continuously and cuts as she drops things in--it really doesn't need the pusher.
It looks wonderful but I wonder why you don't try tomatoes. That makes me suspicious about buying it because tomatoes are the most frequently used vegetable.
Golden hair madam.. Plz cut off ur lectures n simply show processor n it's work in close up.. U ppl r behaving as if this is some movie n u r acting in it.. N all time showing ur face in every video of kitchenaid.. N will this dicing disk fit in every size of processor..??
