I was a bit on the fence with infrared heating, but it does work. The heat feels totally different from conventional heating.

Just came across this video, a bit late. I am doing the same as you and trying out Infra Red panels (KIASA). Just thought I would comment on my experience so far. They work GREAT the one thing you have to forget is the Temperature, forget the numbers only work on how the room FEELS as the thermostat reads Infra Red rays different to Air Temperature. I found that you have to set the thermostat at least 2 DegC lower than normal to get to a comfortable temperature.

Thanks, nice honedt review. Qq, do you have to use the WiFi and app control to make it heat or could you just turn it on and off at the mains? Thinking of using a separate third party thermostat to control it but that would just turn it on and off.

I wonder if having it, facing down on the ceiling and not allowing the heat to rise, because of the insulated panel,the build up of heat may be felt more efficiently, than having it ,in the horizontal position, just a thought,,

I had the same connection issues and solved it by switching off the 5Ghz channel and switched off the wifi direct settings on my mobile phone. I had to force my phone to stop searching for a 5Ghz channel.

Hi, I'm a bit late in giving you my 2 tips lol but..if you turn off your WiFi routers 5G signal until you get your radiator set up on the 2.4G signal, it should connect & set up first time. Also about the black mould...when you get your roof sorted I suggest you buy Cillit Bang Black Mould Remover as it's cheap & it does work brilliantly. I'm say to use Cillit Bang because in DIY stores that kinda stuff can be expensive!

I have tried all sorts on our Orange Livebox, can't switch 5ghz off, but I can separate the two. Even then it still won't connect. I have a router set up as a bridge connection, which once I figured how to keep the bridge connection going for more than a day, is now working perfectly. As for the mold, we might end up knocking the plaster off and starting again.

Hi Ben! The reason why it not connected the first time is because you've got 2 wifi signals; 2.4 GHz & 5 GHz. 5 GHz is a strong signal with a short range & 2.4 GHz is a less strong signal but with a longer range. Most of the smart devices won't recognize the signal when both signals are on. 1. You can turn of the 5 GHz on your phone (it depends if your phone got that function) and wait till you see 2.4 GHz. 2. You can turn of the 5 GHz by going tothe internet-site from your provider and go to your profile - settings modem - turn off 5 GHz. 3. Because the 5 GHz has a short range.. just walk away from the modem.. Probably the moment you are outside you see your wifi connection on your phone is changed to 2.4 GHz. But the thing here is.. you don't have your 'smart device' in range to start the scanning proces 😅 4 . What you did.. Your router did his job 💁‍♂️

Not many options on our Orange Livebox for switching 5ghz off, the router trick is working, but that keeps dropping it's bridge connection. Might have to invest in a better router.

Thanks for the video info. If the wifi goes down is there a way to turn the heater on manually?
@bensreviews.9311
@bensreviews.9311 Год назад
Yes, you can control it with the buttons on the side.

Hi .would a 800 watt panel fixed on the ceiling above the bed be able to heat directly underneath quickly? Not worried bout heating the room just the person directly underneath. The distance from the panel to the bed below would be 5.5 feet.
@bensreviews.9311
@bensreviews.9311 Год назад
From our experience using this one, then I would say yes. I have this 600watt panel on the ceiling, about 6ft above where I sit in the evenings. It heats up objects, so the bed and covers would get warm and also the person in the bed. It is a weird feeling, as the heat you get is not like normal heating that heats the air, it really does feel like the sun coming through the window and heating you up.
@amoryblaine1102
@amoryblaine1102 Год назад
@@bensreviews.9311 thanks ! So would u suggest a 600 ? Or a 800 would work?
@bensreviews.9311
@bensreviews.9311 Год назад
@@amoryblaine1102 We only went for the 600w due to the size, if and when we put some in the bedroom, we would opt for the 720w and probably have two above the bed. So it all depends on what size you want, and how much power. They all put out good heat, and the infrared does radiate out, so it is not just in front of the heater that gets warm.

Some of these heaters are not for cielings and as the instructions and name only specify "Wall" fixing i would be cautious.. no idea what the differance is but i've noticed this in my search for a heater.

Not sure, as you say it says nothing in the instructions. But it's going to get hot and I don't want the smell of melting plastic.

Hi Ben - so have you removed the blue plastic? One has been left on and it seems okay not melted at all - I took the other one off and it seems very hot to touch at the back x

Hi just bought one of these and like you guys I can’t see if you need to remove the blue plastic. I started to buy it was very difficult which made me think it’s to stay in place. What is everyone’s verdict. I have emailed Klarstein to see what you need to do

Hello how is it working so far? i wanna put in these kind of pannels in all the house. I saw at someone placed it as a painting ont he wall, not on the ceiling. not sure if that would make any difference anyways. Im curiouse about the costs of it though. is it convenient?
@bensreviews.9311
@bensreviews.9311 Год назад
Since we installed it, we have not had to use it. Until this week that is. It does give out a lot of heat (I was surprised), but it feels really different from any other heating we have tried. I like it on the ceiling as it is up out of the way. As for cost, will depend a lot on how long you have it on for. I had it set for 25ºc, which gets the room to about 18-19ºc, it clicks on for about 5-10mins then goes off again.

Hi Ben - I may sound like a disgruntled customer of ‘Klarstein’ here ( I AM ) Can i give you a warning about this very product should it be mounted to a ceiling ?? PLEASE DON’T - DON’T USE THESE PANELS. I had one set on fire at the connection box and seriously damaged my ceiling. Klarstein gave a full refund but nothing more. I have had to call upon my house insurance to rectify the damage to my ceiling. Klarstein are now completely ignoring my emails and even my calls. All I got told was that it’s ‘with the legal department’ I even wrote to the CEO ( no response ) Photos can be provided if necessary…. So….. for safety sake and if you value your property… PLEASE DON’T USE THIS OR ANY OTHER WONDERWALL KLARSTEIN PRODUCT. THEY COULD PROVE FATAL.
