I got a 700 watt panel about a month ago, I absolutely love it. The true test will come when the weather gets colder. So far so good though. I've noticed my cats love it too, they're all hanging around the hallway these days.

Excellent, that's good to know and agree, my little one will mainly be used when im working but looking to get larger ones for the other rooms. thank you for your feedback and thoughts.

I don't have the Klarstein panel/s, I have 2 Kiasa panels, one 350w and one 720w. The 350w is in my wife's craft room and the 720w one is in my conservatory/home office. I have both in Home Assistant, the conservatory has both a motion sensor and temperature sensor which checks for motion between 6am and 6pm, checks the temperature in the room and then put the panel on if I'm in there and it's cold. I could have just put it on at say 5:30am to start warming the room but I may not be in there that day, so I would only be wasting electricity. I think the panels are brilliant, to the point where I'm going to be getting them for every room.

Thank you for your comment, I like the idea of PIR sensors so I will be checking out the ones you have, thank you for bringing it to my attention.

They work best IF you can mount to ceiling - we installed 15 panels throughout our home in Ireland with IRSun Regulators...chucked the stinky oil boiler and couldn't be happier! The heat truly fills the room, and so far the new system has been cheaper (and WARMER) to run vs our cost of heating oil. Enjoy and keep us posted on how you get on with the new panel!

That's excellent advise and can see why that would be the case, As mine is artwork it wouldn't look great on the ceiling 😂, I have it above the breakfast bar in the kitchen which is ok for face on heat, it's great for my hands which usually suffer coming into winter. I'm looking for a good mirror one for the bedroom/on-suite but struggling with coming to terms of the increased cost vs the standard white panels. What brand do you have?

@@th3bmc We went with Ekosen brand IR panels. Literally researched and researched for months and months. Ekosen are out of Slovenia, have been manufacturing panels for years and I couldn't find a better built panel on the market. Plus they developed the IR Sun Regulator which is an amazing thermostat that gives you lots of feedback and information on your usage, energy costs, etc. But ultimately, Ekosen's customer service is what did it for us - ANY questions they are available online, email, phone, FB, etc...which makes a world of difference if you have any issues or just need some advice. Couldn't recommend them more. I also know there is Jigsaw in UK that also offers a really great product and customer support. Keep us posted on how things go with you!

So nice to see reviews and comments like this! Very useful! Thank you both! @Kevin, do you have more information about your system? I will definitely check Ekosen out…

Question: I’ve been considering for a cabin in the mountains. Problem is the room I really need to heat is a large living room with steep vaulted ceilings rising to 20ft. I fear there’s no appropriate downward angle that would allow for effective panel placement and the walls are likely too far apart that even a panel on each wall might not work.

@@dalepellerinYou place them either on the walls, or on the first part of the slanted celiing... Most likely both would be your next bet, going on the size of the area... Also consider the far IR patio heaters... The ones that don't give off light... You can angle them, to get the best coverage..

I have seen them in a medical waiting room, mounted in the ceiling and the gentle warmth could be felt on the body as well as objects, once it had had time to start warming.

The line down the middle of the picture would be a deal breaker for me - it would drive me mad.

How are you getting on with your panel? I bought a 350W far infrared panel from Mirrorstone for my home office and I'm not too impressed so far, doesn't really warm up the room even though the wattage is for the size of my office.
@th3bmc
@th3bmc Год назад
As it's mounted above the breakfast bar and I work from there in the morning, it works great but obviously that's close proximity. something this low wattage won't heat a room up it may only keep it at it's present temperature based on many variables. Hi just wondering do you find that the picture does not sit flat on panel when it heats like kind of swells in the middle I have the blossom one
@th3bmc
@th3bmc 9 месяцев назад
Yes, it doesn't lay flat throughout, same as you the middle is bowed outwards, doesn't appear to be getting worse though.

All other manes are more than double price of these. I’m about to buy several for the whole house, am I making a mistake??
@th3bmc
@th3bmc Год назад
Personally I wouldn't, I originally was going to do that for the core rooms of the house but a oil heater for £20 works like a normal radiator, yes less efficient but I don't think the £100+ price tag is worth the infrared heater.

I think you mean waves not light it does not emit light in this case as there is nothing from which the light would come.
@th3bmc
@th3bmc 10 дней назад
Definition - Infrared Radiation: Infrared heaters emit infrared radiation, which is a form of light that is invisible to the human eye but can be felt as heat. Side notes: thermal imaging cameras wouldn't work if it wasn't for Infrared light, Just because we can't see it doesn't mean it's not there. Infrared bulbs aren't as efficient so give off some visible light above the infrared spectrum.

@@th3bmc so what you're saying is that infrared light is being emitted from a metal plate that does not get hot enough to glow, interesting. From all the other places I have been looking at regarding these they all say they emit waves not light, far infrared not near infrared, apparently it is said near is harmful to the eyes as that gives off light. However I am willing to learn something new in relation to these things so will have to dig deeper. But normally things only give off light so I have always been given to understand if they produce light waves, which normally means some kind of glow. As these don't glow at all never get hot enough I don't quite see where the light would come from even invisible light to the eyes. I will look it up some more, interesting thoughts thanks.

@@th3bmc OK had a quick look to see what it says about far infrared and it turns out i was correct, far infrared does not give off any kind if light at all, it seems to be closer to the microwave electromagnetic spectrum so no light just waves. But you did have me going there for a moment. What you described was near infrared something different and can be harmful to our eyes, far infrared is harmless so they say.
