I'm so so happy I got this done just in time for emma's birthday, since it was her pledging for a klamille vidlet for vidders united and I finally got to use one of my saved klamille songs for them.
oh, the pain.
what can I say except that this relationship got under my skin unlike any other and I don't think I'll ever be able to edit them without crying and mourning them all over again. to no one's surprise, this video is SAD and it focuses on klaus' state of mind during and after she died, how he viewed their relationship and how he longed to reunite with her throughout the rest of the series. I will always LOVE joseph's silent portrayal of klaus missing cami almost as much as I absolutely loathe the way they killed her off.
this ship truly did a number on me and my heart will never stop bleeding.
the editing in this one is very stripped back, slow and simple since I just wanted to let the song and their scenes (especially his quiet devastation) speak for themselves. I hope I succeeded.
now, emma. I hope you like this. it wouldn't be your birthday without me trying to make you cry, right? right.
we've met on here ages ago, back when cami was still alive and we were dumb and naive and thought the writers wouldn't screw us over, but despite all the bitterness and sadness I will always connect klamille to you and our friendship and that alone made the entire thing worth it. despite how busy our lifes are or how much we change, I will be her to listen and laugh with you no matter what.
hopefully you won't mind the song I chose, it just fits their tragedy and beauty so so well. and since I'm me, I was completely unable to keep this 'vidlet' under two minutes haha (I'm sure you won't mind that). I hope you have the best day and the best year yet ahead of you ♥

salty side note: when cami died in klaus' arms, he came to terms with his mortality and MADE PEACE with the fact that he would follow her eventually for the first time in his 1000 years on this earth. how fucking powerful is that?? I swear klamille is SO slept on, I wish y'all had better taste :)
