@@maltnhopz515 Is there truly one bike that does it all? There is, if what you can afford is one bike. Then, that bike gets used for everything, for better or worse. I use my KLR for errands around Central Iowa and the occasional short trip. I have street tires on it. Easy on and off, economical, and upright riding position all score big points. My last gen Concours is my touring bike. For me, two bikes is ideal. At 69 I don't do dirt, or I'd have a third for that.

,This is when Rosie upgraded to a 2015 KLR and Alex has a 2012 I think, I have a Candy Spark Green 2013, similar setup, Barkbusters, steel rack plate, top case, I just need to do panniers, bashplate and crash bars, your always an inspiration, Alex and a now well experienced adventure rider, you have seen the pitfalls many times, but you push on, greetings from Australia!!
Great video, new subscriber. My boyfriend has a 2008 KLR650 and I have a 2013 V-Strom 650. We both love to ride and want to go on an adventure like this some day.
Alex, thank you so much for making your videos. Beautiful and inspiring. I just purchased a new to me klr650. I am enjoying it but could use better wind protection, what is the set up you are running, is that a klr dash? How did it perform? Please keep the adventures flowing, I love being able to get a round the world tour in under10 minuets.

I want to outfit a KLR like yours and travel when I retire so I can travel but I only have a 30 inch inseam. How do you and Rosie manage? is rosie riding a stock klr 650 or is it lowered? wanting to get my wife (5'6") one, she has riden street bikes but i was wondering if this would b way to tall for her?
how can you afford this..... how can you afford all these trips you do ??? People that i talk to here in vancouver BC say these continental trips cost 10-20k + ( not this video in particular), but your other ones... also, when you went down to south america did you encounter any bandits or sketchy scenarios? lo que de verdad no logro entender es como logras generar dinero para poder viajar?, viajas un tiempo y luego juntas el dinero? o lo haces de alguna otra manera trabajas para alguna empresa que necesite fotografias o imagenes de monumentos naturales? perdón por las preguntas quizas son bastante personales pero de verdad quiero salir al mundo y me siento muy perdido, sobre los temas que pregunte, me gustaría saber de verdad, aceptaría cualquier ayuda respecto al tema de como empezar te lo agradecería demasiado, aunque sea un mensaje interno, muchas gracias Alex
The Original ( kindof) Alex is Still the Best :) As for the the US Southwest, for vista's and show stopping beauty, I'd put it up against pretty much anywhere else in the World, and I've been to a whole lot of those 'other' places :) On the other hand, arrive at the wrong time and the weather can quite literally kill you.
