For anyone in the future trying to get those C clips out of the fork I found a real easy way to do it with minimal tool and 1 person. All you need is the front axle, vice grip, and a pick. Clamp the fork in the bottom triple tree and use the front axle to push down into the "crater" of the cap to compress it. Then you can use a vice grip to clamp the axle bolt to the top triple tree. Its the perfect length and fairly easy to do alone. Doesn't require much fighting once you get the vice clamp the right size. Maybe there's a easier way, I just kind of winged it.

Great video. What weight fork oil did u use? I’ve heard 10wt and 15wt.
@mxgryan

Thanks bro. On these forks I'd use 10 if you're a regular size person and I'd probably use 15 if you're 200 plus.

So im 165 lbs . I got 15 fork oil the longer damping rods and the stiff spring in the forks now. Off any take off they do not really seem to compress. I have had a lot of guys say to run 1 stock spring and 1 bbr spring. Could run different weight fork out in each spring to to play with compression and rebound ??. Not sure what todo
@mxgryan
@mxgryan 3 года назад
If you're only 165 i would try a 5wt fork oil first.

How did you get the fork to not compress when you jacked the pin in?

What

When you used the “press” the push the pin in to get the spring out. How did you hold the fork tube so the forks didn’t compress when putting pressure

Are the drz110s worth more because they stopped making them in 2005?

Was wondering what shock you went with in the rear to even it out.
@mxgryan
@mxgryan 4 года назад
I did the Pro Wheel shock!

Is there only one size or was there a specific mm you went with ? I have the bbr stiff springs in my forks already so i am debating on ordering the bbr or Two brothers fork damping rods and a 275mm dnm rear shock. Just not sure on a good size for rear shock to help even out the front. I have heard of people going with a 290mm? But that seems a bit to tall for a stock swing arm. Thanks for any advise in advance 🤙🏻

@@HansZuerner918 I think Pro Wheel only makes 1 size. As for the damping rods, do it, they make ALL the difference bro!
