yeah its called ss some ppl call it "planeing" when you turn the board sideways you increase surface area and decrease friction on the water... but pumping works just as well. sideslipping jsut looks sexy

it's an advanced technique called sideslipping and what it does is it makes you travel faster and farther for a brief period of time. dont ask me how that works it just does. that's something you can ask your physics teacher about lol
its not that advanced...when i was learning how to get on my board and as i have read about it and seen it before, and as the tendency was to the board getting sideways(if u straighten ur body, to look forward),i took advantage of that. The part where we have to keepp our mass centre the lower we could was the hardest xD, i used to get "descentered" i i bended my knees too much. but it was fairly easy to achieve. but getting to normal positioning to catch the wave, i find it harder.
