Everyone is always talking about Michael Rosenbaum and what a great job he did portraying Lex Luther. I think this is true; however, I’d like to take just a moment for Callum Blue and his portrayal of Zod. In my opinion he was the best Zod who has ever played the role. His acting in this role was spot on.
I’m not a big fan of the smallville zod he was to emotional, the movie version and cartoons have him talking in a calm voice with carried more confidence and command to me they only raised there voices when pushed to there limits this one has such mood swings I wouldent follow him
I feel that for sure I liked him the most when he was first introduced in the show but to defend Zod slightly since it’s after having lost everything and hated Clark. So I’d compare the later seasons with him to man of steel Zod AFTER he gives his “no purpose” speech. Ya know 🤷🏾♂️
@@thequinn8737 sorry have to disagree look at him in season 10 this is him after he fuzed with his photom zone counter part so in effect it should be the zod we see from the movies but he still loses control i like the actor but who ever wrote this zod droped the ball
I can imagine Injustice universe Regime Superman from Injustice Gods Among Us saying "Kneel before Kal-El." since he'd basically become exactly like Zod in that game.
Maybe ultra man sense he was raised in kryptonian culture but the others are all human and for the most part only seeing themselves taking control couse they need to in the red son comic he even tells his generals they don’t need to salute him as they are the real heros
Season 9 was the best season of the show IMO. Season 10 was such a let down compared to how well done this season was. I actually preferred Clark's black S Shield shirt with black trench coat outfit versus his red jacket look he had in Season 10 for some reason.
@@alucard624 The black coat was so much better cuz it acted as a cape as well. But the red jacket is lame AF looking and is no different than his season 1-7 jacket that he wore but with an S symbol on it.

In a most entirely peculair way, this's what I needed to observe, and it does make fundamental sense: how did he get here, with "pods" at a premium given their species functional panic knowing their homeworld would self-detonate in mere *hours*? He had to be *extremely* "high-born" to have a chance at the feasible escape method.
Is it me or dose watching this season put the Superman movie 2 in a new light the kanddorians don’t think twice about kneeling to major zod this is him before he went evil before his pride and arrogance lead to his fall makes you feel like it has a differnt meaning to them then it would to us
Callum's portrayal of Zod is extremely underrated but I liked Michael Shannon's portrayal in MoS better. Colin Salmon's version on Krypton is also very good. Strangely enough Terence Stamp was the first well known portrayal of Zod and he's probably my least favorite.
Truly the most accurate description of Smallville... so much potential, and would randomly hit moments of greatness only to go off a cliff without the ability to fly lol
These Kryptonians/Kandorians are actually clones brought back via the Orb. Jor-El put some safeguard in that caused only a red sun to activate their powers.
Arfan Adreean rofl! Kandor is a place on krypton I guess like a state or country if compared to earth. Kryptonians and Kandorians are the same thing. Kandor is simply a specific area of Krypton considering they are military I assume that it would be like a general addressing his battalion. Such as saying Marines or soldiers or men in this case general zod addresses his fellows as Kandorians not only in representation for what millitary he commands but also as a pride thing.
I think he’s a great Zod, his intellect and character are wonderfully portrayed. But I do agree that he doesn’t look “buff” enough. I mean, he’s supposed to be a warrior. A powerful warrior, powerful in mind and body. If Callum Blue had worked out a bit more, he’d have been perfect. That’s why I think that Michael Shannon’s Zod is the best because he portrays Zod’s cold intellect perfectly, but he also has the physique of a ruthless soldier!
