Is it wrong to admit that I fall asleep to this video every night? It's become my routine to play this video before bed. I don't count sheep, I count pre-trips.
Thank you, your videos help me pass my test, I couldn’t afford school, so I self trained myself. Most of the school around here they only want your money, they are not even showing new drivers how to do coupling just because the test, at least in CT, does not includes coupling and uncoupling. Thank You.
Legendary video. Hello to Joe and Marty. Going to be 2 years since i watched this video till my mind knew every word.. Video will help you pass. Rewatching since im going to different company in a couple weeks and getting tested for a pretrip. Easy money💪💪💰💰
Good one almost perfect. but this could be confusing for the new guys because the driver mixed up the explanation on some of the components of the inspection. This is important because you should be able to acknowledge it on the actual test. Engine compartment +1 axle Side and back of truck + 1 axle Connections and trailer + 1 axle External light check In-cab with brake check Dont get me wrong this still a very good video I used it as a guide reference for my test and went well but just that detail.
Trailer always pops first never at the same time even though it may look like it in order to help prevent a jackknife. Also never put your hands between the wheel when pointing to gauges had examiners fail for that point around the wheel. Never say gauges call the primary and secondary air tanks and where they’re located. State your operating ranges for all gauges not that it’s just on the rise. On the roll test key words are stopped in a straight line and didn’t pull left and right therefore my combination roll test has passed. Shocks not cracked damaged or broken and has soft pliable bushings. Steering linkage - gearbox to pitman arm to draglink to knuckle to tie rod. All castle nutts and cotter pins in places and properly greased. Overall good video just giving some examples of things I seen people fail on.
lots of drivers complain about the mega carriers but thats a good place to get trained and get that experience after a few break downs they will understand the importance of what you just covered
lol. they do a good job with pre trip. the way they teach backing is just for the cdl test in their yard with nearly no real world applications or use.
7thno wrong way crash!!!!!!you lived up to your name wrong way on test day. Lol it was a pleasure meeting you both and hope to see you both again. Marie
@@marieharrop4066 I am glad you didn't see it live. I flubbed a bit. She aced hers. I had to hear it from the instructors afterwards...geez,😧 thank you
No cause it will be difficult to communicate with the examiner with the engine running. The only time the engine should be running during an external inspection is if the examiner tells you to conduct a fuel system test OR an exhaust system test.
