Fighting at the International tram selection tournament in "buhurt" format. Fighter with most hits in the round, wins the round. #buhurt #armoredcombat #chivalry #medieval #knight #larp #combat #sports
I know right!? It's almost like fighting in armor doesn't look like the movies or something!! (Unearth and translated medieval weapons fighting manuals are typical 1/2 or more grappling)
Simon the tank!! I watch your videos in absolute awe! I love everything about it. Your such a monster. I think often what it would have been like back in the medieval times looking out from a castle wall to see a incoming army of armored Simons marching towards the city. 😮😂 Could you imagaine the devestation!!
I love you utilize both ends of your pole axe. Are you against longswords? I realize your sheer size favors a weapon like a pole axe much more than swords, but I am curious.
I am not as good with a longsword for a few reasons. I have one set of armor. It's heavy melee armor. To be competitive at the highest levels, I would need optimized dueling armor. I am not as fast as some so poleweapons are better for my style. You can see me use longswords on my channel tho
You guys usually utilize bladed weapons rather than blunt. If i remember right thats due to blunt weapons being made to cave in the armor, thus taking down the guy inside in lethal manner, so thats why you guys dont use blunt weapons, yeah? (To clarify im talking about like your maces and hammers, not wooden paddles or sticks.(
I come from a large German farming family in North Dakota. If you Google "Germans from Russia" and "North Dakota" you will learn about my family's journey to the USA.
@sabinelettmas1045 I enjoy obscure cult films! I will check it out. That is how the name was spelled before it was Americanized. Also relatives to "Rohlicht" and Roarich
Wow! You have one of the strongest hits I've ever seen with incense, Simon. Do you feel speed in your shots? It's like you're hitting faster than your opponent.
Speed is essential to hitting hard. Velocity is a much more important nber than mass when you calculate impact force. Thanks for watching me fight!! I think you would enjoy that rest of channel
If you watch slowly, you can see my footwork setting up for power. Also I get the fighter moving in a direction that will meet my buttcap strike so it's more forceful.
@@axemaster thanks for the insight! I was looking forward to learning more from you at War in the North. Hopefully I can find you at another event soon!
100 years after the boomy boom times. after all the ammo is spent up, the sword and shield will once again rule the world. and on that day, you'll be super old probably dead
Very true, however I will have enjoyed touring Europe, hanging with royalty while beating up their former subjects with an ax and being called a world champion in a dangerous combat sport. Win win
The environment doesn’t look very safe for the spectators. They should be at least 6 ft away from the fence or they risk getting hit. And then there’s a guy with no armor in there acting as what the ref or just a guy with a stick? If you want to stop the combatants use just a loud horn or have someone with the right safety equipment in there with them. Other than the possible liabilities you may obtain through that negligence, I gotta say this is badass.
