I was going to suggest using Libby using your library card to listen or read the rest of your book! I'm a librarian and don't even read physical books anymore, lol.

I only knit small items for my family, and only for people who really want it. That means my brother in law and my father get socks this year. The rest will probably not get knits. Last year everyone got socks, and I finished the last one on new year's eve... I'm a bad brother, uncle and son! My family knows what (not) to expect, so it's fine :)

End of row anxiety is real. I thought I was the only one. So cool that your husband likes to bake and garden.👍 My Christmas knitting plans are to knit a slipover for my granddaughter. I just have to decide on the yarn.

Baby knits count as gift knitting in my book... I've been working on a sweater for my mother in law and a pair of socks forf my brother (size 15us, so that's been a lot of wok).. once those are done I'll work on a sweater for my son and start a sweater for myself (which will be the first thing for myself since April, so it's about time..) 😁

Thanks for the company while I worked on my Gr8 Gingham Raglan! A fantasy audiobook that I enjoyed was The first Law trilogy, and its on audible (that where I got it from). A question for your next knit + chat: I see you have some beauties' of plants behind you, are you like me and name all of them and treat them like your babies? What kinds do you have? 🥰

I’m expecting my second child in October and working on Ankers bonnet by petite knit it’s gonna be so cute 🥹 anyways, just wanted to say that I read “Ina May’s Guide to Childbirth” when I was pregnant with my first and it was amazing! It really encouraged me, especially since I had a planned homebirth with my first. Also, love the idea for a sock pattern video!

I love listening to audio books while knitting (and walking the dog)! I'm actually finally getting around to reading A Court of Thorns and Roses after you mentioned it, it had been on my "to-read" list for too long

I start holiday knitting in January. I make my second graders hats and scarves each year. I also do socks for several people. I stress if I don’t start right away.

I cast on the Winter Hearth socks by This Handmade Life today. Gas prices are getting insane, so some squishy aran weight socks sounded perfect for the times I'll stubbornly refuse to put the heating on this winter 🙈 I love audiobooks! I've been working my way through the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. Audible also has The Lord of the Rings read by Andy Serkis who voiced Gollum in the films 😍

Listening to audiobooks while knitting has been a game changer! I started listening to the Fifth Season which I like so far and it’s fantasy. I can’t say how good the ending is since I haven’t gotten there yet 🙃

"cast ons always stress me out and make me nervous" *literally hasn't looked up at video once because I'm in my first row of my first Ranunculus* ...which I cast on because casting on was stressing me out in general just like you said!! I get into overthinking spirals about everything in my life, I don't need it about knitting too! Hopefully this will be a stress free knit.

If you like fantasy, definitely check out the Riyria Chronicles by Michael J Sullivan. It’s an excellent 3 book series. Though it’s kind of 6 books since there are 2 books in each. But the story is incredible and the voice acting is fantastic. He also has another series about the same world but centuries in the past which is incredible as well called The First Empire. I can’t recommend these books enough. Seriously so good. I’ve gone through both series twice now if that tells you anything. Anyway love your podcast. 💕

Give the Dresden Files a listen. The reader is James Marsters, he does an amazing job. I haven't found a better audiobook reader.

You should try audiobooks, I love listening while I knit! Idk if you read Jane Austen or other classic literature but they are free on RU-vid

My baby boy is 18mos and my brain is still very much mush 😂

No plans for holiday gift knitting at the moment, still finishing a sweater for my sister for her birthday last February (sorry sis) and also have some smaller gifts planned for my parents' recent birthdays. I'm planning to participate in the Stephen West MKAL this year so that'll take up most of my knitting time in October and I also want to make a few things for myself this fall. Maybe I'll do a few quick gifts (hats etc.) but I'm not putting any pressure on myself haha
