I'm an intermediate to advanced knitter now, and I so wish I'd had a wonderful cheerleader when I was starting out like you. Those hard feelings, when you're learning are normal I know now, but if there had been someone like you then, I would have been a much smoother journey. Thank you for all the lovely, positive and encouraging content you put out. Really appreciate your hard work!
Awww! I'm so glad you liked the video! And it's a lesson I am continually learning. It's ok to fail and make mistakes, what's important is that we dust ourselves off and get right back to it! 😚😚😚
Thank you for sharing and your encouragement. One of my many knitting goals is to learn to knit Jean Greenhowe's patterns especially the ones for Christmas. I'm very much a beginner knitter... still knitting dishcloths until my k and p stitches are basically mastered or at least I feel good about them. Thank you again...I feel better after your "pep" talk..😉👍.
Hello from Massachusetts, and thank you for doing this video! You are such a great motivational knit/crochet teacher to make a newbie very comfortable to try something without the fear factor of failure in the process! Failing, after all, is the beginning step-ladder to success! 😊❤️🧶
I have not knitted in a couple of decades but I've picked it up again since a dear friend of my family had a baby and I made a beautiful blanket but I want to knit a couple of toys that don't have buttons or anything a new mother would have to worry about with her newborn. I love everything about your style and attitude. I am so very happy that I found you. Have a wonderful day and when I compile pics of the one I'm doing today to the next few I do, hopefully there will be a big difference and I will post them for you. Thank you again!
Hello from a very windy Yorkshire in England!💨So very lovely to see you again and your cute yarny friends, sat so beautifully behaved on the shelves, bless them. Another interesting episode, with a parade of quirky creatures to create and you so bright and jolly as always. Stay safe and keep sharing your joy 🧶❄️✨
Hello Elise, this is a wonderful video for beginners. I’ll recommend it for all my friends who wants to start knitting toys! Everything you said is so true. So many videos where you can see how a stich is made, etc, etc. Right now I’m knitting my second frog. He is so adorable! I made the swimming suit for the frog instead of the jacket and pants. I gave him for my friend as a birthday gift. She really love him!
Greetings from Townsville, Australia, where it is very hot and humid so no knitting except little toys. Love your blogs, all very informative and helpful, so thank you.
Another wonderful video! Saved for future reference... I’m still on the beginning of my amigurumi crochet journey. Thank you for all your research on these adorable toys, you make our life so much easier!!!! “You learn so much by making mistakes.” I needed to hear that, gonna write down and put it on the wall. Lol!!! God bless you!!
I'm so glad you liked the video! And learning to accept mistakes is something I've have to work really hard on! I'm a natural perfectionist and it has prevented me from exploring things for so long because I thought if I couldn't do it right, then I couldn't do it at all. Thank you so very much for your kind comments! 💓💓💓
I have to say.....this is the cutest thing I have ever seen made on here !!! You have definitely got me ! This is the cutest thing ever made on you tube !!! 🧡 🙏
Hello from London! Thank you for this video, the patterns all look so cute! I'm normally quite intimidated by knitted toys but you did a great job of picking out some easy cute ones
Great info, Elise. As ever, it is a great joy to see your dear face and hear your cheerful voice! Surviving the cold? Girl!! It has been great reading & crocheting weather!! Praying for you and yours...
Hi Violet! It has been cold, but thankfully the rain finally stopped here and we've had a bit of sunshine! It has been great weather for crocheting and reading! Hope you're staying cozy warm! 💓💓💓
Hello from Australia thank you so much for your gorgeous channel your tutorials are fantabulous so very beautiful and inspiring & you are delightful thank you x
Okay. I’m from Roanoke VA just north of you!! Just beginning again on toys…I’m Knitnana on Ravely and have made several hedgehogs for my grands. Your channel is delightful and now I’m buying patterns and yarn with plans to knit all sorts of these cuties! Thank you!
Hi Elise, I am a huge fan of your videos. I started crocheting last year in March and you are the one that made me LOVE it. Now, I am thinking I want to learn how to knit as well. Thank you for being an inspiration! Greetings from Belgium ❤️
Hi Elise! I'm Yana from Indonesia. I really like your videos, and especially your Bunny! Maybe I'll make one. I just started my knitting journey a week ago and now at work making mittens for my sister's birthday. As soon as the project is finished I will make the bunny
Hi Elise! I found your channel recently and cannot stop watching your videos! They're amazing and I like your attitude and the mood you bring. Thank you! From Russia, Saint Petersburg with love
Thanks for this video. I learned to crochet with the goal to make horse amigurumi. And I was surprised how fast I picked it up, which opened my world to yarn and all the things that can be made with it. I bought a knitted Christmas ball pattern and learned that the stitches are very different when i tried crocheting it and I got a diamond shape instead of a ball (still very cute just not what I was expecting). Someone introduced me to knooking (knitting with a crochet hook) I been learning to make the Christmas balls and have a goal to make socks in the new year. But after knooking, I am very curious about knitting and a little less intimated. This video was helpful and makes me very curious about knitted toys. I love how you mix crochet and knitting to get different textures in your projects.
Thank you for sharing this information Elise! I just know one day I’m going to try knitting an amigurumi. But now you’ve got me thinking, I’m a little intrigued to try one in Tunisian Crochet. Hugs 🤗💜🐰
Hello you do everything so well even though I kept sound good channel I crochet a lot but now I have in my mind that I’m gonna make sure that I learn to knit I’m afraid because I get confused but like you said never give up thank you and I love your videos from San Diego California
@@EliseRoseCrochet I'm going with the Halifax Charity Knitters Little Knit Teddy. Made in one piece and folded at the top which is the head. Looks easy. Thanks for the inspiration. 🤗🧸

Thanks to your videos and encouragement, i was able to knit my first toy, Candy Bear by Mary Jane’s Tearoom, which was a knit flat and seam pattern. My next goal is to knit a toy in the round. Thank you so much for your wonderful videos. 😊
thank youuu for this video!! I purchased marry jane tea room pattern last month, but I put it down cause I think I need more practice before doing this bear. I will definitely try this bunny. And I really need to tell you: ever since I watched your video last Christmas, I started learning amigurumi. And now, I had created 10 amigurumi!!! even I got some commission work for this. OMG, this amigurumi really help my mental through pandemic. I loveee youuu!!! I am from Indonesia, btw. agaiinn thann youuuuu 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Elise, I'm so excited to try out these patterns. I think the monster is my favorite because I have an 8-year-old son who would just LOVE him! I have experience knitting scarves, hats and fingerless gloves, but I've never done amigurumi before so I think these patterns are just right for me. Thank you! p.s. I'm from a small farming community in the greater Kansas City, MO area.
I have noticed that knitters are not so generous when it comes to sharing their patterns for free-at least on RU-vid, but I have found a similar cat pattern available for free on RU-vid, and a common bear pattern for beginners. However, I really like your suggestions. I am a beginner knitter ( I can knit in the round with limited amount of stitch knowledge) I picked up a few books at the library and found the books "Cute and Easy little Knits" as well as "Knit yourself calm" to have beginner doll patterns which I am ready to tackle. You can find much more crochet Amigurumi free tutorials on you tube than knit ones. Maybe I am biased though.
Bonjour Elise! Great source of ideas for I was just thinking that my beautiful Katiouchka needed some toy friends to play around the house! I am going to order some rattles to make them more fun for her! The little rabbit might the first one, I reckon! Sending you friendly hugs from North Yorkshire (I have got to read the other comments to find out who is also from this part of the world!) 🤗🧶🤗
Hello from Brazil! 🤗🤗🤗 Writing again 'cause RU-vid didn't save my last comment - maybe I made a mistake.😊 *Easter* is comming 🐰🐰🐰 and I just bought 'Vogue Knitting' on Amazon.br, that you always recommend, because I want to learn how to do those cute, loOoOovely bunnies that you knit and show on yours videos. I didn't know whrere to start from. Now, I will follow your suggestions! 🧐🧐 Thank you so much for all your videos, so detailed and full of useful information - not to mention Olive, the perfect co-star. 😍😍😍
Sometimes RU-vid does funny things with comments! I love the Vogue Knitting book, such a great encyclopedia for everything knitting! So glad you liked the video and I forgot to add a little of Olive! She knows when I set up things to take photos and she has to be in the middle of it all! Silly cat!! 💓🌞💓🌞
Hi I’m from Alberta, Canada. Love your cheerful videos. They make my day better when I can’t work on my LCR because of my fibromyalgia. Thanks so much for the advice about not giving up. I’m having a really hard time with the cap sleeve dresses. The sleeves to be exact. Do you have any resources to share?❤️
Hello!! My mom also has that condition, so I can appreciate how tough that is! Hugs! And for that sleeve I use the thumb method (that's what I call it, there may be a more proper name for it). Here's a video that shows what I'm talking about! I hope this is what you mean!! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xi80GoP4cZE.html ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you very much for these great ideas! I'm a fairly new knitter and the third ever project I made after a scarf and a hat was a stuffed animal, a toy Whale called Wasabi, by Susan Claudino. In hindsight maybe it wasn't beginner friendly, but it was very clear written and easy to follow, even for a beginner such as me. And the end product was a really cute stuffed animal 🥰 I can really recommend it. Greetings from the Netherlands👋🇱🇺😊, currently on holiday at the island of Schiermonnikoog, but living in Amsterdam
Your scarf sounds absolutely adorable!! Sounds like it was a very well written pattern. It also sounds like you've been bitten by the knitting bug! Do you follow the channel @dawn'sdays? She has a lot of fun crafting and also lives in the Netherlands! ru-vid.com/show-UCnjQxapuNTacILu1G3YyRmA 🍄🌻💓
I have a video series here on my channel Knitting Toys 101, I share how to knit toys on two needles: ru-vid.com/group/PLlXQRPW4wNLjUlAAopdiq100EFUsdrkvg 💚
This was very helpful! In the description I clicked the link but it said It was 5 pounds but u said it was free i might've clicked the wrong thing but I just can't find the pattern with all the ads and stuff sorry 😭😅
@@EliseRoseCrochet I am a beginner/advanced knitted. I just learn how to do interstaisa work. Of working with two colors. I wished there was a video out there to show me how to do it neater. I am trying to learn the magic circle, and double pointed needles, too. They are still confusing with me, are there videos out there to show me how to do it? Sheree, from Ohio. Where are you located at?
I have a lot of videos about crocheted toys but not a video about the best beginner crocheted patterns. Putting it on my list! Thanks for the suggestion! 🍄💓🍄💓
