The four greatest shots I've ever seen: 1. Trapped in the corner against Portland. Drive, jab fake, spin hits the fadeaway 3. 2. Yo yo move against Kenyon Martin. 3. Shot Fake, behind the back, step back, and then up and under on ginobili 4. Drive against Dwight Howard in the finals. Dwight jumps and swipes at the ball once, twice, misses. Kobe clutches the ball and hits the bank shot on the way down.

3. This move on Ginobli is fucking ridiculous and I wish more people understood how nasty that move is.

I think his shot vs Jason Terry on the Mavs when Devan George loses the ball Kobe picks it up escapes to the left corner with the shot clock at 2 seconds, does a turn around left handed fadeaway 3 to beat the shot clock is his best shot ever. EDIT: it's right in this video actually at 8:00

I was there for the 65 vs Portland in OT. Out of hundreds of concerts and hundreds of sports events I've been to (including seeing the Pope in Rome on Easter sunday) NO crowd ever went nuts over and over again quite like that night.

my favorites will always be: 4. the clutch 3 in game 3 of the 09 WCF against Denver. Lakers were down two with a little over a minute. Kobe Bryant brings the ball up passes it to Odom who gives it right back and he doesnt even hesitate to take a deep 3 on the left wing and take the lead. every team would try and get a quick two or draw a foul to tie the game. kobe took a damn 3 as if he knew he was g to make it for the lead fck all that tie sh*t he wanted the game right there. 3. Nationally televised regular season game in boston last seconds lakers down one Kobe gets the ball at the top of the key, dribbles around with ray allen all over him playing the best defense you can play, Kobe gets to the foul line pump fakes twice, fades away and drains it right in Ray Allen's face. I'm not exaggerating when I say the best defense you can play. Ray Allen couldn't have defended that any better and Kobe just sunk it and immediately silenced that loud crowd in Boston as the lakers took a one point lead with 7 seconds remaining. my favorite part was Kobes face the entire time after the Cs called a time out like "cant stop me bro why were you even trying so hard" 2. Alvin Gentry butt slap shot. dont need to say anymore but almost exactly the same type of shot as above only on a bigger stage (2010 WCF) again Grant Hill was playing perfect defense and it didnt matter. Kobe's fadeaway was simply something else. 1. 2006 playoffs first round Game 4 vs suns. special place for me because I was 10 and it was the first big Kobe buzzer beater I can remember jumping up and down with excitement. It's sad how the rest of that series went but for that one day you really felt the lakers really could do it and I still believe to this day that if they just won one more game in that series they could have won it all. they would have face the clippers in the semi finals. do I need to say more? then in the WCF they would have faced the Mavericks. The same Mavericks Kobe literally outscored by himself through 3 quarters. then in the finals they would have got miami. most of my friends and family agree with me the lakers would of had a real shot because they did split the season series against miami both close games.

yeah and there's no stat that shows that. that's why it makes me mad when idiots come on here talking about field goal percentage. like dude who gives af about stats and numbers actually watch the man play. Kobe made tougher shots than Jordan did. that's why Michael had better fg% Phil Jackson said he just took better shots. Jordan was very graceful with his game, smooth and polished. Kobe could do that too and in fact did often play that way but he also had added his own style which was taken the impossible shots with the best defense on him and draining them.

Jordan was more "polished" or complete. Jordan had absolutely no flaws to his physical game. But it was definitely close and Kobe would have, and for a brief moment did, score on Jordan and defend Jordan with continued success. There is plenty of statistical and visual evidence. Nerd.

You know what’s crazy is these stats guys say Kobe had 36 game winning shots, of course that’s clutch. But nobody ever really counts game tying shots at the buzzer, clutch shots to put his team back in the game when their down big, and also those game sealing shots where the Lakers would be up by like 2 and Kobe would hit a 3 with like 8 seconds left. Nobody I’ve seen really counts those as clutch, but I do, and this video is very great because it shows more than what’s been put out there. Great work on your highlights here 👍

Man, I've thought the same thing! People will talk about Kobe's missed game winners, but how many of those games required clutch shots from Kobe to even be in that position? Clutch is so hard to define using stats, but I know from the years of watching him that the two best killers in NBA history are Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant.

Agreed. 'Clutch' shouldn't just be defined as buzzer-beaters. They should also be defined as player who turns on a hot streak in the final minutes to put his team back in the game, clutch block, icing a game in the final minutes, etc.

Only a few players have the courage to do that. The pressure is more intense(of course) if your team is down, but Kobe doesn't care. He will make the shot IN THOSE VERY INTENSE MOMENTS. These youngsters today claiming LeBron was better than KB are immature and never really watched Kobe play. Kobe was a fearless player and always wanted the ball in clutch time. He was never afraid to take a big shot and the competition knew it. Like it or not, there will never be another Kobe Bryant. I’ve been a Lakers fan and fan of the NBA for a very long time and of all the great players I’ve watched Kobe is among the very best. He was a thrilling player who always worked hard trying to better himself. In his game you can see the influence of Jordan and Dr J. The ability to take contact and make the basket, the ability to alter your shot mid-air to avoid getting blocked, the ability to stay focused with clock winding down and taking as much time as possible before pulling the trigger, the ability to shoot with a hand on your face... I could go on and on. Just to point out to the number-obsessed fans that numbers don't tell the whole story.

Sucks so bad for the Blazers and Suns. I love those franchises, they always have a good team and can never seem to catch that break to win a title. They usually end up on someone else;s highlights, kinda like the vikes and the bills... I would love to see any of those teams win a title. Lord knows their fans deserve it
