These are some of Kobe's greatest career plays but as the video goes on the plays get more legendary! Clips are licensed through the BBTV's NBA Playmakers. Business Inquiries: mcosh3@gmail.com
Him saying constantly in interviews that he was going to make the 20 years after his retirement better than his 20 years in the NBA is so heartbreaking. He was really going show greatness in every field he could.
@@23aceballer they're not, and his last years while injured made them decline, but he wouldn't have been the Mamba if he just quit and didn't try to comeback from that injury
If you ever question his greatness, just take a look at the scoreboard during most of these plays. He had to make these plays to be a winner so he just did it and made it look so easy. The left handed corner shot and behind the backboard shot were especially impressive to me.
Often the scoreboard was this way because for the first 40 minutes of the game he would shoot 4/16 or something like that. He's definitely greta but I vividly remember his ups and downs.
Nobody embodied "fearless" like Kobe. The man had pure ice water running in his veins. Never afraid of a moment. He walked the walk. Still cannot believe he's gone. Every time i remember, it's a shock all over again.
@@borissibor2638 It's referencing how in some video games a certain character's skill can be so powerful compared to everyone else that it "breaks the game." In other words, they're saying that Kobe's vertical was insanely good.
At 1:14 Kobe was wearing #8 when he blocked jersey 24. At 4:00 Kobe was wearing #24 when he blocked jersey 8. At 4:50 Kobe posterized Nash and became teammates. At 5:01 Kobe posterized Howard and became teammates. Wow! What a Great compilation we have here. 💪🏽
@@turtleface07 same here, same here. I remember reading the headline and not believing it until I read multiple articles. Even then I still didn’t believe it.
Watching the lakers and Kobe dominate through 2000-2012 was such a good time living in LA. Back when games were always broadcasted locally. I used to play so much basketball trying to be like Kobe. Truly my goat growing up
I can’t help but get emotional with These videos. The skill, the dominance, the passion is just amazing. Really brings out feelings of such respect and love for this man. Love you mamba.
prisoner of the moment. he's great, but the most prolific scorer is MJ and the eye test and data prove it. Kobe cant hold the ball like Mj. You can say for the Lakers he was that. KOBE the second greatest shooting guard ever. probably 3rd - 4th greatest player ever.
Kobe was the closest player we would get to seeing another MJ. When it came to his mentality and work ethic there was no one like him. RIP to the legend :(
I was a season ticker holder for many years. When he retired so did I from going to the games. I just knew that it would never be the same. All the games that i got to see him play, also Shaq and many other great players. It was a great run. RIP Mamba
I moved from NY to LA for college in '92. I was never really a fan of teams as much as players but I watched a lot of Lakers games pre Kobe. Once he got there I became a fan and watched most, probably all, of his games. Like you, I knew my interest was going to drop after he retired and all the woke sht ended my time watching any NBA. Now when I feel the need I come back and watch the old highlights like this, but now with a sadness I wish wasn't there but is. RIP Kobe.
@@percival8193 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dn1nLxKGnTM.html 🏀 Nikola Jokic's teammates talk about why he'll be such a good father🏀 *emotional
This video should give plenty of people a reminder why he's in the goat conversation. I still have him at 7 or so but I've seen people not have him top 10. Like how??? Love watching him. Rip to the great, you'll be missed.
yes that's because he's not top 10. this is a highlight reel, of course Kobe is gonna look good. where's the video showing all of his NBA record 14,481 missed shots? lmao
@@soogasooga the only thing you have on kobe is the missed shots... like get me something else. Who else was supposed to take shots during the last DECADE of his career??? He wasn't even inefficient look at the stats, he just shot/scored so much that the misses are bound to go up over time. He's definitely top 10. If you don't mind, could you give me your top 10?
God I miss Kobe so much, I grew up watching him play throughout his entire career and remember all of these highlights. His combination of skill and sheer determination will never be matched. His presence on the court goes beyond stats, his confidence and killer instinct struck fear in his opponents
Rest in peace, GOAT. ✊ You never even knew I exist and yet you made my life better by just being you. From the bottom of my heart: THANK YOU and may God bless your soul. 😔
I remember back in elementary, we would yell "KOBE!" On anything we could throw into something else. R.I.P Kobe Bryant. Edit: I'm aware people still do this lol. I'm just sharing memories
The basketball world will not be the same without this man. Imagine how many young players in the NBA have now lost the opportunity to pick his brain about how he approached and thought about the game and how much more he had to offer to the NBA AND the WNBA. RIP Bean and Gigi
He will truly be missed even if ur a diehard Celtics fan seeing him pass hurts all sports fans hearts because the one thing about him he ALWAYS gave you his best & players don't do that anymore
@@gregbors8364 Dame is great offensively, but he doesn’t affect anything on the defensive end. He coasts on defense and so do most superstars now a days. There still are a few here and there. But Kobe went 100% all the time on both ends of the floor
@@youngrav2311 Kobe hogged the ball 100% of the time too. That’s why he’s the NBA’s all-time leader in missed shots (over 1,000 more than the next guy on the list)
If there was just a couple plays like these you could write if off to luck, but I watched him in a game in person back in the mid 2000s, they were hanging all over him and he was drilling them. He is one of those players that is still accurate under a lot of duress.
Anytime i feel sad or bored i just watch kobe highlights makes me feel better and happy again love kobe you'll always be my favorite player ill be telling ny kids about you and how hard you worked
Thank you for posting this. It's good to show my kids how absolutely legendary Kobe was, and how proud he made his adopted city. I mourn the future that he didn't have, nor his daughter, nor the other victims of the crash. So much potential lost. I pray that his family is comforted by the love that people all over the world had for him, and trust that they'll see their beloveds again.
@@deanta14 he definitely won't. You clowns need to go watch that whole interview, not to mention we e seen Jordan evaluate talent. There's isn't a single thing he did close to Jordan's level outside of freethrow efficiency, especially winning.
@@keithjoseph128 old head, Kobe was more advanced basketball player than MJ. If Kobe got to play 1 on 1 the whole game, he would’ve had multiple 80 point games, not like he couldn’t have already.
you could do 500 of these. he was incredible and its wild that he's going to fade away just like every other legend. worthwhile to go back and look at the best of the best, wilt, bird, magic, MJ, the answer. so many incredible athletes we were lucky to see, and still more coming up. Basketball is amazing.
You know what else made him a legend? His undying loyalty to the Lakers. Kobe was a Laker for his entire pro career. You cannot get anyone who are willing to stay with one team through their entire sports career like him....
Man… RIP to the GOAT of the NBA, Kobe “Bean” Bryant. I will never forget his last ever game at the Staple center. I was there that never night when he dropped 60 points. It brought me so much nostalgia and what a legendary performance by a player in his last year. Basketball isn’t quite same without the goat. We all miss you Kobe
I remember watching just about every one of these plays live. Watching these plays brings tears to my eyes but I'm grateful I got to watch Kobe Bryant play. Mamba Forever!
Here’s the thing about Kobe. If you actually WATCHED him play then he’s undeniably one of the 5 greatest players to ever play the game. If you are a stat freak that only looked up numbers than you will put him outside the top 5 maybe top 10. Numbers don’t tell the whole truth and I was lucky enough to see his greatness live. He’s the GOAT imo, I haven’t seen a player as great as Kobe, respectfully I wasn’t born wen Jordan, magic and Bird were in their primes
I watched all those players and Kobe's Era. No offense but he's not top 10 all time. Shaq avg 32 pts and 12 reb in those Finals and got all 3 Finals MVPs. People sleep on Shaq as one of the greatest. I'd throw Hakeem Olajuwon in there too
@@OttoErotic69 I don’t list small players w bigs becuz it’s two completely different roles and skill sets. Shaq was in his prime while Kobe was approaching and even Shaq saw that Kobe was the best, words outta his own mouth
These videos remind me man of just how great Kobe was as a player. He may not had all the stats, but regardless his play was legendary man, he put butts in seats
I remember the commentators thought it was a charge, too. Nash is definitely outside the circle. But it looks like kobe jumps before nash is set. It's at least close enough that the call could have gone either way.
Living in Los Angles, and coming up a die hard Laker fan, I had the incredible fortune to see almost every one of these plays live. No athlete, in any sport, has ever more consistently simply blown my mind like Kobe. He'd have games where he'd have more highlight reel type plays than many players would have in a season.
i came here thinking i'd feel happy. i felt more sad knowing he really gone..as a hardcore nba fan, what happened to kobe really shakes you to the core. it's almost 3 yrs now but damn, still hurts.
Unbelievable. Not gonna lie…I never liked Kobe until the last 4 years or so of his career. I always thought he was arrogant, but I wasn’t paying attention. He was a legend and he knew it. When he died, my entire family was visiting, and I was outside smoking a cig, messing with my phone when I read the news. I immediately walked in my house and told my family, and we were all devastated, except my parents bc they’re immigrants 🤣🤣🤣 RIP, Legend.
This man will forever be a legend in basketball and he will be missed by family and friends and the fans that watched him play in the NBA. And on a side note I have a you tube channel type in Russell Mills May 22, 2017 to find me.
Seen soooo many of these videos😢😅bittersweet indeeed! To the creator of the video: super underrated how u got the announcer comments to bleed into next highlight… really enjoyed it. Thanks!
there will NEVER be another like him. imo he is the goat and was never a jordan clone. kobe had my style to his game and movement and the mamba mentality is one of a kind. KOBE BEAN BRYANT. THE GREATEST TO EVER DO IT AND ILL DIE ON THIS HILL. he was an once in a life time artist that im so thankful i was lucky enough to grow up watching... and if u dont think so then just watch how he controls his body in the air and how he makes split second adjustments the way he does while in the air and that ALONE should tell u
Sitting here watching greatness, I never knew how much it affected me. I've really been sad since Kobe's passing. So tragically and suddenly, can't forget that mentality though. That Mamba mentality!
