Wow .... Fantastic video ... My first rodeo with plumbing and faucet repair .... fixed my kitchen faucet and it flows baby ..... thank you thank you!!!
Thank you sooooo much! I’m not handy so didn’t know how to bypass the solenoid and couldn’t find anywhere the showed how to do that. This video helped me see how to do that and was extremely helpful!
Thank you! This is exactly the reason for my kohler water flow issue. I tried to replace the head spread and the shutoff valve before removing this thing, both helped a little bit but this solved the problem completely. Debris were everywhere from the old valve and got stuck in each of the filter in the line, including this controlling piece and head spread. But this part is the main reason for the low flow!
Top tip, and no nonsense. I subscribed on the strength of this video. My little filter was definitely obstructed, and is now cleaned. I dismantled the faucet, and in the end of the faucet, from where water is delivered, there is at least one more filter. It is not easy to blow air through (from my mouth) so I suspect more blockage there, as well. It does not seem to dismantle though. Any tips, anyone?
Thanks for the video. I had checked every other screen/filter but this one. Very easy to remove. I was able to push the screen all the way out using a toothpick and clean it well. Video does not show the orange water restrictor that can fall out in the process. I have read in other posts that it can be removed, but I got better flow and left mine in. Thanks again. Great video. Short and to the point. Water flows like new!
Thank you Mr. Dinosaur for your video!! We had issues on water flow with Kohler Malleco faucet for more than 6 months. I just removed the solenoid (super easy with snap on, no tools required) and water pressure is fully back on. Took only 5 mins. And you're right that there were full of gunk in the solenoid's filter that disrupted the water flow.
