Thank you so much. I have the same faucet and only 2 years old and didn't think I would have to switch the nozzle out so soon. Totally fixed it and now it seems like my faucet is a pressure washer!

Thank you! Was scouring the internet trying to figure out the problem. Ordered the new nozzle from Amazon. Arrived in less than 24 hours and the water pressure is awesome! Thank you!

I have a Kohler Simplice faucet and the stream suddenly went from normal to practically nothing overnight. After soaking the head in vinegar overnight (I had no CLR handy), I searched and found your video and fixed it in literally 15 seconds with nothing but a needle nose pliers and my fingernails pulling that silly little button off to get at that brass post, which was stuck down! THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! Call this woman HAPPY!!

That solution worked for me! Pulled out that brass post and BOOM, done. 15 seconds.

I just installed a similar faucet from a different manufacturer however it was the same problem with low pressure. I was hours away from tearing it all down. Then I came across your video. Mine was brand new. I took off the nozzle & for some type of rubber debris matter blocking the nozzle. Thanks I’m happy I saved myself another hour plus of labor that would have resulted in more frustration. I owe you a beer 🍺!

Question. I've replaced the head but still no improvement. Water pressure from valve is super but even with spayer head removed we get no water from either side. Suggestions?

It's always a good idea to cover that drain hole before you start taking that faucet apart. It's never fun when part go down into the garbage disposal.

Most Koehler products come with a key to unscrew the screen. However this model does not have a key but requires you to replace parts. I despise this faucet. Years ago you just unscrewed the screen and water flowed, now it costs you to replace a part on an already expensive faucet.

Is it illegal for them to sell a kitchen faucet that actually flows water? I want one that will fill a 5 gal pail in 15 seconds, not 3 and a half minutes.

I have a low flow problem with my Kohler pull-out faucet, too, and have tried everything to correct it. The idea that I would have to replace the entire spray head (not cheap) to get it working is ridiculous. It’s only 4 years old. I had a similar Moen faucet in another home for many years that never developed this problem. I can’t find the right Kohler spray head so I’ll probably just replace the whole faucet. It will definitely NOT be a Kohler.

I had low hot water flow even when I took off the Nozzle, so I didnt need a new nozzle! I found the blockage at the bottom of the hot water shutoff! Cleaned that out and Wala Full hot water pressure again! :)

how do I fix a handle on this faucet that does not move smoothly anymore? I've replaced the valve which the handle sits on but that did not help.

Having the same problem. Replaced cartridge, didn't help. Water volume in test is the same with and without head. Other house pressure is 75

You were loosing FLOW not pressure. Next time run the faucet with spray head into a container for 15 seconds and check the Volume of water, then remove the spray head and repeat the test, if the volume is significantly greater you have found your problem. Often (not in the case of a product redesign) the problem will just be lime buildup on the little holes in the rubber piece and a 12 hour dip in CLR and reinstallation will cause the deposits to be blow out, restoring flow.

Hey any chance u could tell me, if once has already done everything u mentioned, where else I might find a water restrictor other than in the aerator? (My LL gave me her old moen stationary swan neck kitchen faucet instead of a new one & it’s so unusable from water flow I either need to replace it or move-it’s def the faucet as the previous one had TOO high water pressure & it was an issue at her place too) I’ve already cleaned the thing multiple times and there is only one place to take things apart obviously (aerator head) but that’s clean and taking it off does nothing to change flow, and there is no water restrictor I can see there - any other placement would be in the body of the faucet and I can’t figure out if it’s even something that can be taken apart). And info u might be willing to throw my way if u already know would be amazing and much appreciated! Handyman was not helpful & so far neither is the internet. I don’t have a dishwasher so I’m loosing my mind

I have the same issue and tried CLR but not for 12 hours. Maybe an overnight soak will work before I order a new part. Thanks for that!

Great Video...Save me at least HOURS.....ordered on amazon, switched out in 45 seconds, tripled my water flow....This seems like a defect, kinda expect better from Kohler??

Here's a helpful tip: before getting under the sink, try this out. Fill a cup of water and use a timer to measure the time it takes. Then, remove the faucet head and repeat the process, timing how long it takes to fill the cup without the head attached. If you notice a significant difference in the timing, it could indicate an issue with the faucet head that needs cleaning. If there's no noticeable difference, then you're good to proceed under the sink without any concerns!

How did you get out the plastic screens from the hot and cold water lines? Our faucet has great cold water pressure but recently developed bad warm water pressure. Flushing the lines hasn't been able to fix the problem.
@chicagohandyman
@chicagohandyman 7 лет назад
Eric Salley Yes, the hot is usually the first to go bad. To find the plastic screens, unscrew the black braided pipe from your shut-off valve, and they should be there. If clearing them doesn't work, I implore you (based on my experience and the comments of RU-vid viewers) to replace the spray wand. amzn.to/2byLZXU Let me know how it works out!

Thanks for the video. I got a local seller wanting $150 for one of these but claims the filters are clogged. I am guessing it is more likely the head also but can you tell me where you found the filters? I didn't see where you pulled them from? Also did you ever have any luck clearing the original head?
@chicagohandyman

The filters were on the ends of the hoses. No, I couldn’t clean the original head.

i wish my fix was this simple. I already replaced the valve kit with a Kohler kit, and still low flow. Even when I unscrew the spray head, the water still comes out low from the tube. I must have a clog in the tube, what a pain in the @ss. Or I will have to pay a plumber again to install a new one, which will probably be $150 and is a pain to access behind the big sink. UGH!
@chicagohandyman
@chicagohandyman 3 года назад
I’ll bet the plumber that installed it did not flush out the lines prior to hooking it up.

May be a silly question - why didn't you just clean out the filter screen on the sprayer instead of paying for and replacing the sprayer? Seems like that would have been a more cost effective fix for the problem. You had it out when you were replacing the sprayer.
@chicagohandyman
@chicagohandyman 7 лет назад
That was something I definitely tried for many months and had no success. Getting a new head was just worth it in the end.

Why didn't you try cleaning the head unit as opposed to replacing? Also when you removed the head you could have ran the water to check your flow with the head off. This would have told you right away (with the head removed if water pressure/flow was good) the problem was in the head unit.
