These faucets develop a problem where they have low water pressure, or will switch back and forth between spray and stream on their own. Here's how you can fix yours in less than 5 minutes.
Can I just THANK you SO MUCH! I never registered this product, just wasn't worried about it. About 2 months ago, sprayer didn't have pressure, switched between sprays, and made a very high pitched sound. I tried to clean the sprayer piece, as I could see the water pressure was just fine from the hose itself, but, to no avail. I finally reached my boiling point tonight and could not have been more annoyed or frustrated. Came across your tutorial, did as you said, (took me a bit longer as I had no tool to fit in those tiny holes, ended up using 2 different eye glass repair tools), but managed to work it around a half circle.) Tried it again, and it's FIXED! This makes me so happy you don't even know. Appreciate you taking the time to post and help others.
You're welcome, Rosey! I forgot that I'd posted this video over a year ago. My faucet's been perfect since I did this fix, so I think you won't have any problems from now on.
I am another beneficiary from this video in 2020. I used tweezer as a special tool to insert those 2 small holes, then try to turn 30 degree. It works and my faucet's problem disappeared. Thank you so much for your experience.
It's been years since I did this. I don't remember seeing a restrictor. If there is one, I guess it's in the base of the faucet. Or it may not have one at all. If Kohler sized the hose correctly, the hose would act as the restrictor.
@@ElQuesoGuapo Did you know there is a special tool designed just for faucets like these so you don’t have to use pliers. It was given to me by a plumber for an old faucet I had, but, the spread on the notches don’t fit the Kohler faucet I have. Thank you anyway. 👍🏼
i was able to remove the outer screen/nozzle part as you did with pliers. BUT, do you know how to remove all the parts inside? mine has a white ring that appears to secure the other parts, however unsure how to remove. i think it is clipped/snapped in place. i will not force it in case it breaks.
You need to pop the rocker switch off. It's been a while since I did it, so I can't remember if there's a special trick. IIRC, you just use a plastic automotive body panel tool to pry it off. Once it's off, the rest of the mechanism can come out.
