Wajid Ali Shah was one of the most talented royals, with a very artistic bend of mind and immense contribution to art and culture. His "Chhota Imanbara" in Metiabruz, which reminds one of the Imambara in Lucknow, and the remains of his residence with his prayer room are still worthy of a reverent visit. It is said he landed in Kolkata in Bichali ghat, near the Imambara. Also very glad that that you mentioned Elahi luxury dining....... they serve one of the best biriyanis ever!! Visited Elahi luxury dining few days back. Mutton nihari is quite a hyped dish, however it seems like a salted mutton jhol. Also tried chicken tikka briyani and chicken jahangiri kabab which were quite good.

শুধু তুফানির র কাছে গাড়ি বাইক এর হর্ন গুলো একটু কম হলেই one of the best হতো! তবে স্ট্রিট বিরিয়ানি উপভোগ করতে গেলে একটু এসব পেতে হবেই! অন্তত কলকাতায় তো বটেই। ঘরে বসে দেখলে অসুবিধা হওয়ার ই কথা!
