Grab some popcorn, this is a big roadtrip! The CCS charging network has expanded so rapidly that almost no-one has noticed! Kyle takes the Kona EV on a road trip from Stamford, CT to Oklahoma City using only Electrify America's charging network. On day 1 he ran into some issues, all of which could have been avoided by checking the EA app ahead of time... Made for some tense moments! Other than that, the trip went as expected... Fantastic! Follow along on his trip exactly halfway between NY and Los Angeles using only Electrify America. Pretty incredible!

I just completed a 3700 mile college tours trip in 9 days in my 2019 Kona Electric Ultimate with zero problems! Wash, DC to New Orleans to Chicago to Ann Arbor to NYC and back to DC. The 15 different EA locations visited all worked. 1 Chargepoint plus a Porsche brand charger in a hotel parking garage. Averaged 4.0 miles per KwH overall while running the posted speed limit. I went for it because you posted this-thanks!!

Took me back to road tripping in my egolf. Tyg I now drive a Tesla dual motor long range. Night and day difference now it's low stress cruising in a dream machine.

Really good content here. The Electrified America rollout makes me feel that I can now comfortably consider getting a non-Tesla EV.

I was literally sweating when you were slowing down on the off ramp. Love these road trip videos. You’re the only channel that does good ones like this. I don’t like when creators focus 100% on driving. The little hotel parts are great and as a Starbucks fan I appreciate that too haha. Thanks for doing this!

Great feature length video Kyle. Good Grief! What an interesting first day. Note to self: pack an extension cord and umbrella when road tripping in an EV. This video showcases how important it is to have an EV with LTE connectivity and built in route planning with live charger status. I love that EA is rolling these chargers out across the US but they've got to work on their pricing. This expansion was a penalty for dieselgate yet they are charging a bit too much for juice IMO. That may be up to the site though so perhaps I can't fault EA.

I built my first EV , it was an 86 Mazda PU, 144V flooded lead acid, 40 mile range, first trip I ran out of juice, luckily there was a steep hill to my place, learned a lesson, real quick. your first day brought the memories back, excellent vid!!

Thank you Kyle. Absolutely the best EV content on YT. Just ordered a KonaEV Ultimate. I hope I can figure out how to get 207 hiway miles. That's what I'll need to make my regular trip. Cheers!
