Finally got the Kona N’s exhaust system after all the back and forth with AFE’s customer support! Here’s a quick installation vid and short sound clip towards the end! Link to product: afepower.com/a...
@@MrAdams-zg6gv agreed, I ended up installing it when I had only 200 miles on the car, and I honestly don't know that I could ask for much more. Love the sound.
Installing this same mid pipe on my Elantra N tomorrow. Along with an air intake system and Boomba BOV. Love the car, but just wanted even more SOUNDS!😁 Updated 4-27-23 The Takeda non resonated mid pipe exhaust system sounds incredible in "N mode"! LOUDER POPS/BANGS! And more of them! Back to completely quiet in eco/normal mode. Its PERFECT! Takeda open box air intake system and turbo inlet definitely gave the car an even stronger 30mph WOT pull!
Hey bro I appreciate that you uploaded this video; I’ve been taking notes on your setup because I plan on getting some of the same parts but what branded oil catch can do you have for your kona n? I have wrote in a notes app you use a Takeda 3” midpipe, rpm performance intake/turbo inlet, pipercross filter, and a SXTH element BOV. Besides these things do you have anything else that’s note-able? Also let me know about the catch can too! Thank you 🙌🏽
Yeah mine had the same thing. Leave it and it will seal after a long drive. The thing with exhaust clamps is they will almost always leak, best thing to do is get it welded but it doesn’t bother me much. I don’t even hear it
@@FastKonaN thank you! I don’t hear it either I just know it’s there 😂 was thinking I’ll check it again in 100 miles or so. Now just have to figure out how to remove the cars long rev hang when I rev it
I have the Takeda non resonated mid pipe exhaust system on my Elantra N and it makes N mode sound incredible!! Loud pops/bangs! More of them also! Even in 5th gear
@@klasseact6663 that’s the thing it doesn’t sound any different in eco or normal. Almost like it’s not even modified. Only Sport and N mode are seriously way louder. I’ll post a video soon of POV driving haven’t had any time.
