@@symphonixblades yeah but it wasn't Yu-Gi-Oh related. This seems more like it's just another animation studio that's also a part of konami. Konami is an online gambling company, video game company and now animation studio (possibly more but that's all I know) doesn't mean it will happen, just that it can happen even easier now
Basically they want to introduce their animation studios, and most likely they will release sky striker anime because of its manga is out there already. But at the same times, i feel the quality is not the same as many before it.
I assume what it may end up being is a season of one shots +/- a series or ova with sky striker. They displayed 12 archetypes + strikers if I counted correctly, and 12 episodes is a typical cour or season length for anime. Granted, they wouldn't be able to cover much of albaz or duel terminal, and a lot of these would probably work better as an ova or full series, but an inital episode may be lower risk if they are gaging interest and market viability.
@@minicle426 I do too but in the form of better cards. Not the dumpster fire extra deck support. We need lvl 4 or lower support with actual good effects.
If they do start animating all the lures for different archetypes I think it will get more of the people who like anime. I would really like to see this come to fruition.
This should be like an anthology where each archetype is like 1 hour episodes like netflix or 2 to 3 part episode stories. Or Like american horror stories where each season is a different archetype story.
Totally agree with Cali's point on YGO being rich in lore. Konami clearly has some talented writers thinking up the backstory for these archetypes. Would absolutely love to see it be made into a series or even an OVA.
Yessssss World legacy has world chalice, krawlers, mekk knights, knightmare, orcust, crusadia. Visas StarFrost has scareclaw, tearlament, kashtira, and mannadium Each archetype should have their own episode honestly
I would actually watch a series dedicated to the lore within the card art. They already have an incredible amount of material to work with, this is a perfect opportunity for a cash cow that would actually make the fans happy.
They should run this like the pokemon web series " generations", a bunch of 3-8 minute stories. Give the fans more lore! Need the six sams, exodia, dragon rulers, fire kings v atlanteans, and diabellstar stories 👏👏👏
A series of 1-2 OVAs per archetype would be incredible and a great way to get people invested into cards that never saw light in the official anime. Imagine Super Quantum & Rescue-ACE in a tokusatsu crossover type beat. Magnus vs Turbulence & Preventer.
This could be just SO Big! Yuhioh's lore is so rich they could go with a love, death and robots type of anime In which every lore arc would have its own animation Styles😮
Its a promotional video, but it does seem like they're gauging interest. Really hope they proceed with greenlighting a proper anime series. The fact its trending shows that people still care enough about Yugioh to want something like this, and seeing a lot of these archetypes that i've grown emotionally attached to was a really nice treat. My thoughts on their attempts to revive Silent Hill have been mixed (i really dont like that Bloober Team is leading the remake of SH2 and Ascension has been awful), but it looks like on the Yugioh side of things that Konami is really giving a shit. I mean, it is their #1 property currently. I wish it wasn't their #1, that went to Silent Hill and then Metal Gear before their treatment of Kojima and Team Silent, but Yugioh's still a pretty good choice to have as your flagship product. Konami has a long ways until I can look at them even somewhat favorably again, but this is where you'd start building back good will. My only other suggestion to Konami as far as Yugioh goes (aside from returning back to the more consumer friendly OCG set structure) would be to credit artists on cards. For what its worth, Konami has been doing a good job lately trying to address the balancing of their game (card prices aside), so i won't harp on them there right now.
My only fear is that the animation studio is just going to take over for Bridge after Go Rush!! ends and we're getting more cardgame anime instead. Not that I'm entirely opposed, mind you, some people have been whispering "DM reboot/sequel" and that legit sounds good. Also, we still need a red Extra Deck type to finish the rainbow. A DM reboot or follow-up would be the ultimate appeal to nostalgia. But card lore anime tie-ins that bring us to the duel spirit world would be just as good for cross-promo, since it would help the game reach new audiences that aren't ALREADY interested in YGO or other CCGs. That goes beyond anime too, mind you, I still feel like the World Legacy saga was BORN to be a JRPG plot.
Not gonna lie Imo if you think this ISN'T leading into a Yu-Gi-Oh anime you're kinda coping Sure this is specifically a teaser for their studio but the website says it's going to focus on Konami IP and at that point why dedicate the ENTIRE thing to not just Yu-Gi-Oh but a specific section of it instead of just having each segment be a different Konami IP if it wasn't because they're doing a Yu-Gi-Oh Card based anime? Like they completely kept YUGI out of this and none of the sections were really given to anime original archetypes (aside from Eyes of Blue being Blue-Eyes adjacent and Exodia getting a single picture)
I do agree I would like this type of yugioh anime instead of the current yugioh anime we have been getting honestly the current yugioh animes were starting to get old after zexal Or even a video game that goes over lore or something would also be good but honestly lost interest in the card game itself for now
It would be soooo good for Yugioh to make their in archtype lores as an anime but with good Animation yata yata. Like Albaz, Visas, DT, Dracoslayer, Zefra Lore i guess, Sky Striker, etc.
That would be fine to introduce each archetype, but if Konami wanted to be really ambitious, they would make crossovers in which two or more archetypes met each other, had rivalries, or fought a common enemy.
Zefra lore would be insane as an anime. It combines so many archetypes. Yang Zing, Nekroz, Shaddolls, Satellar knights, ritual beasts, oracle of zefra stemming from Naturia tree. Also, can't believe they didnt include the Pendulum Magicians
Lets go Albaz. That is the best option. Albaz, sprite, swordsoul , Dogmatica , Despia, Branded, Bystiles, Tienny and tri brigade ect... as well few non archetype monsters are present in Albaz story.
At the end of the video it shows a credit for Konami Animation studio so this is probably just like a film reel of what they are working on or potentially plan to work on. Hopefully they deep dive with an episode or two of each (maybe more for others like Albaz or World Legacy) and extend on stuff. There are so many cool, silly and downright brutal stories they can tell from card art alone. I love this game man.
I’d love to have a yugioh anime more centered on the lore of the cards instead of the actual game, especially since the game is total unbalanced and unfunny bullshit nowadays. But there are just so many archetypes I don’t care about. Like I’d watch Red-Eyes all day, same for Dark Magicians. But who on earth cares about freaking Madolche and Live wire twins?
Surprised they just aren’t releasing an anime where the main character summons 10 plus times in a turn to reflect the current game of yugioh but the chronicles work too :)
i would love an anime that has nothing to do with dueling but literally just telling the stories of the cards. like World Chalice and Dogmatika lore stories. They technically created an entire MMORPG throughout their archetypes. City of Endymion ect.
When the Melffys cutting into Zeus is a joke where players use Melffy before going into Zeus. Its has many fanarts like Melffy starting at Zeus or the Melffys playing on Zeus.
Konami has done alot of stupid things, and I'm not talking about just Yugioh. about damn time they start thinking about making comeback with silent hill and mgs. If this year doesn't revive konami even a little bit, This company is over lol
Dinomorphia have a sorry which I hope for to dinosaur bing in this or Dinowrestler but I don’t know for the other archetypes I just hope dinosaurs get a showing in this man
As odd as yugioh has been for me over the years the lore was always a highlight of the experience. It is not just archetypes but even one off cards that have great backstories that really makes me happy to play the game even tho I am not exactly good at it.
