KONAMI ACTUALLY MADE THE ALBAZ ANIME 

hey I just saw the video and haven't kept up to date with anything Yu-Gi-Oh related since the show years ago when it first came out are these shows in the card universe or separate things what's with all these what am I missing for context or was this just a small animation from previous cards threw out the years

calm down bro at those animation quality, they are probably gonna cost atleast 10 million USD minimum per 20 min episode

Maybe we can get another one like it for different archetypes for the 30th anniversary 😅 But, I would actually prefer archetype lore anime instead of Yu-Gi-Oh Eights, rerouting the resources for the next generation to focus on the cards instead of the card game players might be viable for them.

I would have my doubts. If the animation was produced while these archetypes were being played, with their support cards effectively being the storyboard for them, I'd see that beneficial connection. Nobody watching a 6 Sam anime is going to be like... let me play that very old synchro deck in Modern Yugioh, lol. You'd have to be printing new cards for a lot of these archetypes that elevate their play to justify an anime, and even that is a very slow way to release the cardboard.

They need to make the game less complicated. Like ban Pendulum for a format or something

If they wanted to created long lasting animes; the Albaz and Visas lores would be the way to go. I would love to see Tear and Icejades animated.

The Icejade queen sacrified herself to keep the last Icejade Aegirine alive while Longyuan burns everything down, just for that same Icejade to comeback and clapped Longyuan to dust at every single corner with everything she've got (there is not a single word written about this, but if you check the effects of Icejade Gymir Aegirine and Evil Longyuan, literally all of her effects are made to counter Longyuan's effects specifically) . I would literally pay anything to see that moment in anime form.

On top of that, this is "Konami Animation", a studio for tie-ins to anything Konami owns. Anyone who's ever wanted a Metal Gear, Gradius, Silent Hill, or even just a different Castlevania show has something to look forward to.

Also Konami Animation has stated on their website that their work will not be limited to the Yu-Gi-Oh IP, but to ALL of Konami's IPs. I think the success of Castlevania pushed for this. SIlent Hill Horror anime. Possible. Metal Gear 1-5. Possible. Even Gradius, Rocket Knight, and Contra. ALL Possible.

​@elijahpadilla5083 Konami probably will continue the Castlevania series with their own studio working on it, maybe they can adapt the DS games like Portrait of Ruin or Order of Ecclesia

It would have if it was hand drawn just like other ones. But it is the only animation that used CGI, so probably not.

​@@2iq371It's an announcement for Konami opening up an in-house animation studio to work on "animated tie-ins to product". So, Yugioh card lores (the only part of Yugioh they own, because Shueisha and Gallop own the Dueling), Metal Gear animation, Castlevania, Silent Hill . . .

Of course people are complaining about the waifu archetypes. We asked for Duel Terminal anime for how many years now?

DT got unshackling Trishula, Visas got the start of the second loop, Albaz got the beginning, Diabellstar got hiding from the Goblin Bikers after creating Poplar, and a nod to BOTH OCG Stories short manga. The only conspicuously missing major stories are World Legacy, Gagagigo, and Dracoslayer.

This was a celebratory animation, that also announced the opening of "Konami Animation". So, now Konami has its own animation studio to make anime for any card lores, or any videogame they own. If it's also tie-ins to product, I'd be pleasantly surprised.

They might be saving that for later, probably till they can expand more on the story and lore. At least more so than it already has 🤔

​@@elianrodriguez7318 the World Legacy lore has officially ended. The Albaz lore is the open end situation where it's probably ended, but still open to new sequel in the future. The Visas Starfrost lore and the Diabellstar lore are still ongoing, with Visas lore closer to the finish line while Diabellstar lore is still expanding.

@@professorxeno4056 everything pretty much wrapped up. Now they just introduce a new generation of Igknight, Dinomist and Majespecter cards for the sake of supporting those decks, but the storyline of the Dracoslayers pretty much ended i think.

@@sekaihunter9378 big sad if that’s the case. Both Albaz and World Legacy wrapped up pretty smoothly for the majority lore wise. Like you said for Albaz lore, I feel like world legacy is very much in a similar spot. Ib having the world key and it being beckoned by its light towards a potential new adventure and Ningiru/Longirsu/Giru overlooking her. Wouldn’t be surprised if that wasn’t the “end” end as well. In contrast, The Draco stuff always felt a bit messy to me. Honestly had no idea about where that story is or was going. Sad to think that luster/master peace story ends by them just…I dunno..vanishing after fighting calamities.

The entire card storyline is more commonly referred to as World Legacy. Starting from world chalice all the way to the twist of Demiurgear.

I mean, they put a very small cameo of Visas and didn't include Tear. I hate to criticize some of the decks they included, but a 25th anniversary should really at least mention the best deck in the history of the franchise once.

@@randumo24 The best deck of all time is still PePe. Ishizu Tear was only able to dominate so long bc Konami didnt know how to hit it right to make it unplayable plus the fact that OCG people couldnt let the deck go. Modern Konami hates doing Emergency Banlists on top of that.

Anthology series, 15-20 minute episode each. This is the way.
