Konami brought me and @SeeReax to Japan for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters The Legend of Duelist QUARTER CENTURY event! This animation was revealed there along with many other amazing things!
How to attract this, Konami Animation should make atleast 1 movie (2 hours or more - with trilogy) of lore cards. That would definitely gonna blow the entire world
I really want to see Albaz's lore made into an anime, as I personally consider him my "Ace" monster, as I use him in a lot of the decks I most enjoy using in Master Duel, my favorite being my Blue-Eyes/Albaz hybrid deck.
I'm reminded of the days when Joey told Rex Raptor the story of Gearfried during their second duel together, in the Orichalcos arc. Man, I WISH this made me feel half as unexpectedly hyped as that moment... Then again, I also wish this had more concrete info of "Where and what time can I watch this?"
@@smartboy201 I was even using that moment to explain to my dad about this. Given the card game lore is different from the anime universe (or is it multiverse?) lore.
@@LittleAl016It's this weird situation where you have individual card-lore, different from anime-card-lore, different from set-lore/anime-set lore, different from _deck-set-lore/anime-deck-set-lore..._ And that's not even taking into account stuff like the actual _STORIES_ like "Goblin of Greed" has, where you learn everything in the span of 30 or so cards about this _one goblin._ And now, if this IS AN ANIME, we'll have "card-anime-card-lore" in the rotation. As in, Anime of the YuGiOh franchise (made of cards), specifically about those individual cards, rather than the characters that play them... It's some real Super-Saiyan-God-Super-Saiyan vibes, I'm getting from this!
Seeing Exodia doing his Obliterate in that sizzle reel hits harder now that they announced the new support and so Exodia beatdown is now actually possible. 😮
Fingers crossed Konami is lining up card support to cross-promo with all these animations, I want some RULERS OF BIG D. SUPPORT, give us a Dragon Rulers boss monster
@@gtafan110010 Konami just launched its own studio, Konami Animation, instead of depending on other studios they are gonna make their own animations of their IPs.
I've been saying forever that Konami was sitting on a literal money printing machine. From anime and manga to games across every genre. Yugioh can be so much more than just the card game.
@@rhymestyle Visas Tearlaments, Diabellastar and her sister seems like a lot of potential lore too, and of course, we can't forget about potential interactions between the archetypes. Imagine the Adventurers taking on Eldlich, or Visas piloting ZEUS. Hell, we know Albaz's world has dimensional portals, and we have the whole D.D. archetype that could potentially link all the worlds together into one giant pot. It'd be like a Duel Monsters Cinematic Universe lol.
Really hope Tour Guide is the narrator of this series. It just makes sense, she already escorts cards to the ban list and she's the Duel Links mascot. She's the perfect face for modern Yugioh.
Lowkey nah cuz I'd prefer the "tour" cards lore to get an ova too. Cuz there's her, the bus and I forgot what other cards but a few spells and monsters have a reference in the background
From YuGiOh alone Konami can make a lot of anime lore and every single fan in the entire world would watch it. This makes the game even more exciting. it’s no longer playing character based deck for fun, we’re gonna play lore based deck for fun.
Konami has always been sitting on a gold mine if they made TV series/movies based off the card lore. I’m keeping my hype in check until I get an actual trailer. Was this really a teaser of what’s to come? Test footage by Konami for audience reaction/reception? My heart wants to believe that this is the direction Konami wants to go in because you can’t just show animation of all of favorite card archetypes and not deliver.
One lore or story that isn’t really a story that I would like to be done is the connection with stardust and red dragon archfiend they just feel like they should have lore behind them
@@fg009letyrds8 their feels like their is lore between the two like how stardust’s effect is a literal counter to red dragon archfiend and how they are somewhat opposite in the sense that red dragon archfiend should be in the underworld while stardust is out in the universe Edit this is just how I feel not trying to argue just explaining why I feel like their is something behind beyond 5ds
wish they they did something for stardust dragon n red dragon archfiend and utopia too. but I hope this actually happens in the future. an anime about the monster themselves.
Yeah I was losing it Rhyme. Can you imagine if we get the Magistus anime? That gives us Aleister and a bunch of other related spell casters all in one show
@@rhymestyle Magistus is the prologue of the Invoked, Witchcrafter, and Endymion themes. Also, the Magistus is being selected as the next manga adaptation after Sky Strikers ended in OCG Chronicles!
I was losing my shit seeing the all the cards lore animated, but I was damn near ON THE FLOOR when I saw fallen of Albaz. I’ve always said, Albaz lore by itself could be an A-list anime
Man Fallen of Albaz lore is probably the most love Yugioh related thing in 2020's, all the reaction i seen so far have every single people that knew it all super excited even the one that never touch the deck from that lore or just barely knew the story
yeah, i mean, they did a sky striker manga series, the next one should be fallen of albaz, or in case that archetype don't manage to have a manga, at least they make an anime with those card's lore
Yo say less, I main pure E HEROs and this could definitely be the perfect way to show how cool they are (it also could possibly let us have fusions for the remaining possibilities from the og E HEROs...)
This was a fun showcase of animation, of course you gotta start with the GOATS Dark Magicians, Blue and Red Eyes, and giving love to the other Archetypes that people who may not be as deep in the TCG as others, I look forward to what's to come
You’re so lucky to have been there in person bro, I started jumping up and down and losing my shit when I saw the Fallen of Albaz part, the most hype thing they’ve done for Yugioh in years. Been wanting a lore anime for so long, they can’t just tease this and not follow through
IDK about business but, if they try to make 12 eps Albaz anime or even 1 hour-ish OVA/Movie. They could potentially make money. But no one could take the risk or wanted to lead the project As the usual boy protag playing the cards seems more stable or profitable Maybe
Ever since I first saw _“with the eyes of Blue”_ monsters in Duel Links while playing as DSOD Kaiba I was always curious wondering what it would be like to explore the Blue Eyes world. All the other monsters are interesting as well. Now it all makes sense why Konami has invested so much time in polishing Duel Links and also creating Master Duel's Solo Mode. It's all connected in a way, most likely with the upcoming VR project they are working on (which I hope people don't end up severely addicted to it, that doesn't sound healthy for society).
An anime based on the archetypes have a lot of potential to be successful. It could be a breath of fresh air in comparison to what Konami is doing with go rush or whatever the last yugioh animated series is/was.
well Konami is doing nothing with Go Rush all they did was hire an animation studio and let them handle it. But now with Konami Animation they can do the Yugioh anime themselves
Watching this made me realize just how much Konami is failing to actually capitalize on Yu-Gi-Oh Like by itself it's effectively like 50+ different IP that if Konami actually extended beyond just card games for everything they could EASILY make bank in practically every genre of anime and video games Like if not just making a lore anime they started making video games beyond just simulators for the card game Because as they're currently doing it they're not really offering anything to appeal to someone who doesn't like card games when they could Like just IMAGINE A Sky Striker Action RPG A Solfachord rhythm game A Spirit Charmers JRPG A Six Samurai Muso game A Valiant Soul Fighting game An FA or Gold Pride Racing game A Zues game like Armored Core A UA sports game And so on and so forth and that's if they just want to keep them separate and there's multiple archetypes that could fill those same genres they could do a Project X Zone crossing over multiple archetypes And imo this is definitely a proof of concept for something not JUST a studio demo, because why debut your studio with something completely unrelated to what they're actually doing? When Konami has other IP that could have been used like Metal Gear but instead they devoted all of it to Yu-Gi-Oh, and why bother having a segment that's NOT animated if showing of animation is the only point? Outside of what they showed her(as Duel Terminal is my Number 1 and that's covered) I want Deskbots Dark World Super Quantum Dragonmaid The Dacoslayer Saga World Legacy Saga Floowander Gladiator Beast Photon/Galaxy/Cypher
Go watch zexal or arc v for those guys, but to be honest besides the og four (dm, dmg, blue eyes and red eyes) I don’t think they showed any monsters that were from the anime
I don’t know what we just watched but that looked absolutely incredible. I mean I know it’s about all the Yu-Gi-Oh card, monsters and stuff but looks really cool.
