This is a reference to modern society's obsession with beauty! That's what beauty magazines do/they create insecurities about your hair, skin, weight, etc., and then advertise products that promise to change that. That's what the second line of the song is about "I think that the secret is in deep hydration" - Second: Konstrakta talks about how our skin and hair often signal some health issues, for example, liver and spleen problems. The song is criticizing the fact that artists aren't granted healthcare in Serbia because their job isn't that "serious" ("The artists are invisible"), which caused one of their colleagues to pass away due to cancer. And is also referencing the mental health topic. Really nice lyrics when you realize how deep they are.

fascinating to see a couple of lively Americans responding to a gigantic masterpiece, the greatest ever Eurovision entry.

This song is about our mental health which we don't care enough.

The washing of the hands reminds me of the italian phrase "lavarsene le mani come Ponzio Pilato" which translates as "washing your hands about it like Pontius Pilato did" ("it" being a problem ora a situation you want to ignore Just like Pontius Pilato did with Jesus not caring about his situation and fate). In the context of the song, since she is wearing a nurse outfit, this could represent a health care system that leaves behind some people, not caring about them, and that "washes its hands" about them. Plus, there is a HUGE Marina Abramovich influence, it is so obvious, and we stan a performative art song. To be specific, i think this song nods to the video Art must be beautiful, the artist must be beautiful. The themes are various: health, obsession with celebrities and appearence, strive for physical health, worry for not having health insurance, injustice, mental health. In corpore sano is part of the latin phrase "mens sana in corpore sano" (sound mind in a sound body). The last versus of the song are in latin and disclose the true meaning of the song. The use of latin is another genious idea: not only it is the language of science and medicine, but also of religion - it gives the song that "culty" feeling to underline our obsessive behaviour.

This song is actually just the middle part of a three song music Video called TRIPTIH. It is practically a deconstruction of middleclassvalues, a midlifecrisis in songform, especially from a womans perspective. the first song focuses on her beauty that is starting to fade and how celebrity women try to keep their beauty and the last song is a description of everyday life and how mundane it becomes.

I am sure fans saw many analysis of the song in lyrics, but I noticed one important thing is missed in all that I found. Do you know what a hand gesture she's making means? Not the clapping, but raising hand and twisting the palm? In Serbia, it's what people do to express that someone's mind is not in a right place. In sense, that person is crazy, or something is wrong in their hand. That gesture really makes the performance even stronger for Serbian watchers. It's like famous hand opening Italians do, but Serbian one is not that famous.

Konstrakta's song is part two out of three that form a piece called "Triptih". Her performance has nothing to do with Megan Markle, hydration, politics or covid, it's performance art that is intelligent, quirky and constructed from top to bottom to perfection. It's not weird nor funny, it's art. It's created to make people stop and think about life for a second, it's there to provoke, not to soothe or kill time. In those three songs she's describing a life of grown woman in Serbia, and likely in this World. First part "Noble" is talking about society labels as "be emancipated", "speak foreign language", "know peculiar information about places you never visited" where the chorus is describing the sad reality that she is all alone, looking at the mirror, crying and thinking about a headline in magazine "Sharon Stone does not take botox" meaning, oh she must be as ordinary as me - a masterpiece song. Second part "In corpore sano" describes a woman after reading a woman magazine with a clickbait title "What's the secret of random celebrity perfect health?" (in this case she chose Megan Markle, but any name works). Very often in those magazines you "find out" that some skin imperfection might be there due to poor health of some of your internal organs, i.e spleen, gut or liver. Verse "enlarged spleen is not good, not pretty" is trying to say "not only I may be sick, I am ugly too!" and it really describes a transition young woman go through in early middle age (Konstrakta is 43, mother of two), when beauty standard obsession are getting substituted by health obsession. So she frantically and compulsively starts singing "be healthy, be healthy, be healthy ..." and song just gets better, she becomes grateful for autonomic nervous system and how body takes care of itself, but paranoia kicks again "be healthy, be healthy, be healthy", she prays to God, even that is not enough. Than a sudden stop in rhythm where she is faced with possibility that she might stop belonging to the system (i.e not have public health insurance), how will she be taken care of? Song finale is self - revelation where Latin proverb is twisted to say that although your body will end up healthy after all paranoia, your mind will become sad, sick, desperate and frightened. This song resonates with every single woman in man in Serbia in their 40s because that is exactly how life looks in that age. It's all about being healthy at any cost, while completely neglecting mental health. It's sad that subtitles are not available on the Eurosong, because this song has nothing to do with politics, nothing to do with Megan Markle (apart from critique to mass media), and absolutely nothing to do with covid situation - it's a universal, intelligently packed recap of middle age life. Third part "Mekano" which translates as "Soft", although better translation would be "Limp", talks about everyday life and the way people live in their 40s. You work, you eat, you repeat same patterns day to day, while trying to belong to "intelectual elite" by discussing about neoliberalism, being individual and original, while in truthy you are just dying out in your "comfort zone". Chorus "mekano, nek je prokleto" translates "soft should be cursed" meaning "curse the comfort zone", and this song is insanely strong due to its melody, it sounds soothing and like something you'd listen to fall asleep. This perfectly describes someone stuck in the comfort zone, you are stuck, you know you are stuck, you curse it, but your voice is still dumbed, slowed and soothing. Exactly what comfort zone and depression feel like. Absolute masterpiece that is by far the most intelligent song that ever featured in Eurovision.

The lyrics don’t translate well, I guess. 😆The part about walking her dog is a critique of making health a commodity. So she is “not asking for much in terms of health just trusting her body to function and be healthy, thus just being content in small positive things like enjoying a normal day with her dog” instead of the horrors of having to pay enormous sums for medical treatments, because artists in Serbia are not covered by medical insurance.

Straight half of this song are the lyrics, and if you want to enjoy it you have to know the lyrics, when you know what is she singing you get the music in a different way, and it is a song to sing along. Parts of the lyrics and expressions are already in sleng, as they relate to so many things and situations. About 20 million people, plus Bulgarians can understand the lyrics while listening. The rest could listen to it few times, with translation. It is not much, I admit. :)

This video is hilarious :) They look like they are first time exposed to art in music, and their reaction to music is priceless, especially the woman, I can't stop laughing. The only thing they can understand and chasing it quite poorly is the beat.
