I live in the capital of my country and I've searched every store here carrying "exotic" food (as they like to call it here) and I haven't seen a thing like fried chicken batter mix. If there were, I'd be making fried chicken all the time, cause I love KFC and this and similar kind of fried chicken are better and closest thing to KFC I'm ever gonna get in my country xD
For those who can't find batter mix can make this diy: -1cup all purpose flour -1cup cornflour -1/2 teaspoon of baking powder You can simply dip in this mix and fry or add water to make liquid batter as shown in the video😊

Always let the dry flour coating moisten a bit before putting them in the oil. You'll get crispier chicken and even colour on the chicken because loose flour will ruin the oil for the next batch.

Flour and corn/potato starch would work as substitutes. Just season the chicken well. As for the corn syrup, you could substitute with rice syrup, honey or maple syrup. For honey and maple syrup, use 3/4 amount with a bit of water to dilute.
mrsfrodo9 i guess you could mix flour with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, oregano, thyme, etc. you can look things up online, you’ll find many things to which you can add flour
