@@t.d.morrow7299 Dude feminism isn't about giving women benefits just because they're women, it's about *not bringing women lower than men JUST BECAUSE THEY'RE WOMEN* . Do you know how many women who are at the same position as men don't get paid as much? It's because of ppl like you who think men is superior in all matters.

@@iromosushi6291 Radical third wave feminism is about find random things to be ''offended'' about. For example, they invented a term ''mansplaining,'' which is literally supposed to be a man explaining something. What's the relevance of gender? Because radical third wave feminists see gender everywhere. A buisnessman who runs a successful company? No, to them it's a rich, white, privileged, sexist, mansplaining, bigoted man.

before continuing. I'll make it clear that there's nothing false in what I'm saying. Korea is a country where men suffer from tremendous discrimination and women enjoy enormous benefits. But feminism is popular in Korea. Let me tell you the current situation in the country. China and North Korea a slave of the Moon Jae-in is president. The president is now to feminist statement. The feminist press, education, culture, art, not feminism, politics where one is missing. Now I'm going to bring you some evidence that men are being discriminated against and oppressed. First of all, women are not discriminated against. Believe it or not, I can't find a single one. Do you know what kind of country this is? It is a country where only men are forced into slavery by the army and are not rewarded for doing chores again. The women's community has abolished even two stores, which were symbolic rewards. Nevertheless, maternity leave is in place. What do women say about these men's military service? Not all women, of course. This is what women say. "We have menstruation! You're pregnant! Army camping, army mule, army guard, meat shield." I assure you, this is based only on military duty. If I tell you guys what's being discriminated against, it will take a week, so I'll briefly explain it. As I said before, there is no compensation for military service, but it is a country for women, such as women's quota system, women's maternity store, hundreds of kinds of women's exclusive spaces, such as parking lots for women, fitness centers for women, smoking rooms for women, etc. Let me explain briefly. The country's gender budget is 34 trillion won. 34 trillion. 34 trillion. Do you know how serious this is right now? The country's job creation budget is 28 trillion won and defense spending is 43 trillion won. By the way feminism in budget management group, the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family has been as much as 1 to the article 34. Can you guess? How much women enjoy and how many women are given preferential treatment. What does the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family spend its budget on? They spend a lot of money on building a women's toilet with TV and sofa, supporting single women's pets, driving women's jobs, and supporting prostitutes for 20 million won each. Still, the media, entertainment, celebrities and lawmakers are feminist Plus, it's kind of feminist groups of around 4,000, ever get as much as 3.1 trillion budget, the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family. We don't have the power to beat them. Korean men have no power to stop them. Korea is a country where men are oppressed, discriminated and weak. But they're a prize.

@Fakeslimshady
@Fakeslimshady 3 года назад
@@hazelcrisp That is also not true. Patriarchal medieval societies only enforced male levy system, which enlists one head of the family (a male) in exchange for the safety and lodging of the rest of that man's family. The modern concept of universal male-only conscription in return for nothing is a purely feminist concept where men are forced into labour and war for no return whatsoever, and the first recorded conscription of such nature is actually relatively recent: Napoleon's French Revolution just 200 years ago. But surely feminists aren't arguing for returning to Napoleonic times, and neither are feminists pushing for end to male conscription. In fact, neither are feminists pushing for female conscription beyond lip service. In fact, United Nations which have professed to be "very feminist" has refused to consider male conscription to be a "human rights violation", nor even classified it as "forced labour", despite being supposedly against humans rights violations AND forced labor themselves. Neither are feminist groups pushing for male conscription to be considered as human rights violation. Given these evidence we have to assume that they are therefore rather comfortable with the status quo. In fact, what we can observe is that groups that insists conscription is a humans rights violation are labelled by UN as "sexist". With such worldwide, UN-endorsed and feminist-endorsed apathy for male forced labour and male human rights violation, does it matter what you, Hazelcrisp, is or is not fine with? In short, nice try, but feminism has proven to once again not be for equal rights, and they have a lot of humans rights violations to answer for.

That's why more and more male and female are single even after their 30's. Women want to be more independent (keeping their job, mostly) while men want submissive women (housewives). About the chests thing, I found it hilarious when I first learnt that Korean broadcasts are not allowed to show male nipples. I'm guessing it is because it looks racy...? In that way, it is pretty fair since male and female chests aren't allowed to be shown. I would be interested to hear about korean 'flower' boys. For a seemingly patriarchal society, a lot of korean male idols are very stereotypically feminine - large eyes, plump lips. While the buff, tanned look exists, the ideal male look in korea doesn't seem to be that.
@crossref233
@crossref233 5 лет назад
Because that's not the ideal standard of beauty in Korea... There's Kim Jongkook who is as you described, "buff, tanned" but in SK, white skin is the ideal, and rather than buff, one must be tall to be seen as handsome. I remember this Korean RU-vidr who was very famous for his handsome looks. Fans spotted him irl and he was short/average, and the people started commenting online about not finding him attractive anymore. Also plump lips? I would say the lips aren't really what's important but the mouth corners. People there have thin lips and then others would say they have beautiful lips already lol.

So only if we can look at others with an open mind and help them when they are in need, then it doesn't matters to which gender or class or any other category that we have today he or she belongs to, i think we can make this world a better place to live in.

Feminism already made a lot of improvment since Ww2 on all aspects. Just be patient, the world is changing really fast already and things are getting more equal.. most people on youtube are not even 20 on this website, you have no idea how akward it was in the past you read a bit about it, but no need to goes to war between genders for it.. use logic and intelligence.

+Erin L Oh wow another "It's current year guys!" Reality is Feminism is largely unpopular among the general public because it's been making women miserable for the past 70 years. Feminism doesn't have a monopoly on human rights, and if anything it's getting in the way due to it being skewed in favor of one side over the other. Notice how in this video they never asked anyone about the male-only mandatory military draft? Human rights are human rights, they don't need a modifier. Similarly to how "justice" isn't pure justice if you add a modifier to it and call it "social justice".

It's fantastic that nowadays countries are working on gender equality, since women and men need to be treated and respected equally, no differences should be make between them. On the other hand, all extremes are bad and there were some moments in which feminists went too far, seeing men as their 'enemy' when actually all the society is in some kind of way, including some women.

Most of the young Korean men are anti-feminists. Society regards feminism as gender equality and anti-feminism as gender discrimination. However, most young men and anti-feminists in Korea pursue gender equality. This is because feminists in Korea reverse discrimination as mirroring. We need cultural relativism. Currently, the issue of gender conflict in Korea is not gender equality vs gender discrimination, but the confrontation between outdated reverse discrimination and future-oriented gender equality.

@@leak3856 In Korea, women are given excessive privileges. For example, there is a women's quota system. When feminists gather at Hyehwa Station to protest, they claim their human rights by saying "suicide!" to men and swearing worse than this, so the view of feminists in Korea cannot be good. Feminism in Korea has been transformed into a term that means masculine female supremacists. In addition, the fertility rate in Korea is 0.6%, but only men are conscripted. They disparage soldiers and tease them for camp, but they are sexist than anyone else in the conscription system. In South Korea, the ruling party is pro-feminist, pro-China, and pro-North Korean, while the opposition party is pro-American and anti-feminist. South Korea's men in their 20s and 30s, who have endured all this time, vote for the opposition party, which pledged to dismantle the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family. @latata >why maternity leave should be the same for both when only the woman had to carry a baby and suffer mentally, emotionally and physically for 9 long months? And then they have to recover from literally having anotherperson in their tummy. do you know, why the question 'are you in a steady relationship' or 'are you planning on having a baby soon' are forbidden in a job interview in many countries? ok, rhetorical question, the reason should be obvious, the company wants to make sure their new hire does not drop out shortly after for maternity leave or even more permanently, because she became a mother. this is actually one of the few remaining discrimination's women face in the job market and its very hard to get completely rid off, after all, it concerns the bottomline of the companies directly. and its VERY hard to proof, such a bias has taken place. giving something equal, like paternity leave would alleviate that problem. not to mention 14 weeks (or longer) is a bit to long to be counted as 'recuperation'. for health reasons 2 to 4 weeks are usually enough. the reason the leave is so long is mainly to make bonds with the child and prepare for the future, checking out schools and such. i would argue a man should have the same obligations in this regard. in fact, in the department of forming bonds he is even behind the mother and has to catch up, given the mother already had the baby in her belly for 9 months.

All the answers these people give are from an outsider's perspective, or someone that isn't involved or knowledgeable in feminism. I feel a bigger problem than outsiders' misconceptions are some feminists' misconceptions about feminism. All the SJW/feminism fail compilations you see are examples of a population of ignorant, uninformed, and self-serving feminists that give feminism a bad rep, either because they're exaggerating/distorting certain values, or they don't fully understand the facts behind what they are fighting for.

Get in a woman's way; she'll just knock you out of the way. Korean women don't want to be seen as over-submissively (and they shouldn't) so they just live their lives like everyone else while rejecting some of the stereotypes that society (and maybe older generation) has set up for them, and not taking any crap!

I thought that at this point we as a species had come to the understanding that the radical people are always the louder ones. And that gives the illusion that that's what the movement is about. In any form of belief (political, religious, ideological) or social movement you have radical people. In. Every. Single one. Do those define the the movement in its entirety? No it doesnt. If you think it does, you just didnt do your homework and dont want to learn and understand.

Hey there! Thank you again for your insightful video, it was very good seeing that a a good amount of people support feminism. I agree on one of the ladies who said "how can you be a woman and don't support feminism??" I think we are making a lot of progress on our society by recognising this problems and unite together for the gender equity. I'm from Buenos Aires, Argentina where the wave of feminism has grown a lot in the last 4 years, we united together for the lives of hundred of woman abused and killed by men, we have the right to live in a city without danger in the streets, without street harassment, without kidnapping and rapists. In Argentina, every 30 hours a woman is killed just because she's a woman, so a movement called "Ni una Menos" was born (which translates to Not One Less, or not a woman less) We taken the streets of our country in protest, and we've become millions all over the country. Following with this feminism agenda, in Argentina the law of free and legal abortion was recently discussed. The pro-choice movement has risen thanks for the current situation of rising feminism, hundreds of woman from all ages has come together against patriartchy and got called "the green wave" of feminism (The green is the official color of the Safe, Free and Legal Abortion Campain in Argentina) we stand out from the crowd using green scarfs in support. For woman who choose to abort and know is illegal, they reach out to clandestine medial clinics where many of them die because of the dangerous procedures, and many other of them take home-made medicine for it and end up badly hurt or die. Our shout out is for all of those who can't afford to have an abort in good conditions like the rich part of Argentina can. People who choose to get an abortion have the right to get it in a safe and legal enviroment, they are not criminals. Not all woman can bring another person in the world, they have the right to choose. Following this discussion that's been running around for 13 years, a few weeks back on 8 of Agust the law almost got out, but didn't. There's still A LOT of hatred against woman choosing their rights, or they don't even recognise them as human beings. In Argentina feminism is rising, but if you'll get to interview people on the street like this? There'll be lot of men and woman (most elderly) against the word feminism. They think is degrating and that it doesn't exist a gender problem in Argentina. We are a very white and black society too, but young people are being more concious and together we continue to rise against the patriarchy society that surrond us. We still have a very long way to go, I think all of the world needs this change, especially men. We have to talk about equity and disconstructing actions that seems right, but are actually really wrong. In Argentina we had a topless protest as well, because a couple of ladies where stopped by the police because they couldn't be topless in the beach, where hundred of men where in the same position, topless. People saw the protest and were discusted, talking about "how they disrespect their bodies" doing that sort of thing. How? How can't you look beyond your own self? Woman's been sexualy objectified for YEARS, is time to change. We are human beings, we are not a sexual object for your entertainment. We are fighting for a new world, the future is feminism.

some of the comments saying that the nowadays “modern feminism”, is nothing but just “hate directed to man”, really don’t know about the birth of the movement and their bases and why and what are we fighting for; so, for those that have this mentality, go read a book about the matter, go watch the news but not only the news of where you live, because violence against woman (in different cases and forms) happens every minute all around the world, it’s time to break that nice little bubble y’all live in and wake up.

My country was great in terms of gender equality but then the missionaries came and said that the woman belongs in the kitchen and is only good for laying on her back. The place of the woman in the family and village dynamics was changed so drastically and the priest took over in terms of power. Feminism is coming back but in the generations that were reared in the missionaries’ traditions, it’s harder for them to break out of that cycle.

I came here because I have a young niece who was crying because she was shocked to read about the Seungri sex trafficking scandal. She was heartbroken that a band that she worshipped had such monsters in it. I'm shocked myself. Seungri doesn't look remotely like someone who would commit such barbarous acts. Then there are hundreds of vile comments here attacking feminism. To these misogynists -- we need feminism because men like you exist.

In Mexico the feminist movement is seen as a joke because of the lack of understanding and education of the population. Mexico is a very dangerous country for women because if you read that you will think "Nah, it's dangerous in general, men die too" but the reasons are most of the time very different. Also, (mostly) the masculine population that is against the movement like to say that men suffer too when femincides or violence against women are mentioned, but don't really care about victims or do something about it, they just want to make feminism look less serious than it is. I'm glad these koreans have a not so uninformed idea of the movement. One better than the other, but it is still there. I hope the girl with the glasses and the girl with black shirt are having a good time.

@manhunt48 With all due respect, dude, but chatting with someone on here who has no intention of changing their very intelectual mind about something they've searched and haven't undertand isn't worth. Empathy is clearly not for everyone. I have friends and some family who respect and support that movement. This is not the same as protesting with my loved ones demanding justice for the women we love and lost, sadly, like me. Honestly buddy, go somewhere else.

In my country -US-there are liberal and radical feminists. During the late 1960s and 1970s radical feminism prevailed. Since the 1980s liberal feminism has gained more and more followers-outnumbering radicals. Which is a shame. It makes me want to travel to Korea where there are proportionally more radicals than in the US. Long live Womads!!

The women w/ black T-shirt is a typical extreme feminist in korea. like her, extreme feminists in korea talk about what their mothers and grandmothers' generation experienced. And a critical clue that she's a fake extreme feminist is that she mentioned "the community" which is a community where all the feminists that pursue PROFIT gather. I hope foreign viewers won't just believe what the women is saying. Besides that, other interviewees thoughts were legitimate.

These idol competition shows are boring, tbh. I only watch them to get to know more about the ppl in the show. The cores of the idol competition shows' concepts has never been the main appeals. After watching the recent episodes, it does seem that the J-idols are quite experienced with the idol biz, but that is to be expected from idols that has already debuted and had already been idols for a long time. Meanwhile the Korean trainees just seem like very skilled trainees with no exposure as idols. It seems that J-idols are very professional with fan service. They can grab fans without showcasing any talent (i.e. trained skills) whatsoever (they don't even rely on their visuals as much), while a k-trainee with a sour attitude can easily throw anyone off. I do kinda feel bad though, since I barely remember any of their names. It usually takes me a couple of episodes (like 5~6) before I get to remember their names.

Equality differs in each situation .. but basic needs are definitely need to be given out equally . Other rights might not be as easy as you think to have the equal rights. Just because something is done for men, to make it equal we have put on effort and create a new scenario for woman, just to make it equal. And just because women have got something made for them , doesnt mean the world has to come out for something in specific to make it equal for man in that particular scenario. At lesat equality has to done at the basic level of basic needs, like salary, position , authority, power. But showing chest? Do woman feel as much as aroused to see a man's chest? Compared to a man starring at a woman.s breast? Its on a totally different level of comparison
