The open mindedness of this channel really blows my mind. It is heart warming to see Africa being represented respectfully and enthusiastically as it RARELY happens. Your choice of cast, the curiosity, the excitement just everything. Thank you so much 🇿🇦

As a Korean, I can say that most Koreans don't even know much about the food outside of Korea (maybe except for Japanese and Chinese food). But WOW African food? This is something many Koreans will have no clue about, let alone that most Koreans will only think of safari or dancing tribes when they think of the continent Africa. This video is one of the most unique ones I've watched. If it was Koreans trying out Russian food or Brazilian food, that's nothing too special as we can find such food in Korea BUT I don't recall seeing any African restaurants in Korea...maybe there are but extremely rare. Just like how you wouldn't expect KBBQ restaurants in an African country - maybe a few but not a lot. Korea and African countries probably never really collaborate unless it's something political, diplomatic, volunteer trip, or in sports but never heard of too many cultural exchanges between Koreans and Africans yet...MORE needs to happen 🙂👍

A correction in the captions it say 'magic' when he actually says, "Maggi" (pronounced 'Madge-gee), this is brand name of the stock cubes he normally adds). The brand name is often pronounced as ''Magg-ie' in Asia, but in Australia we also pronounce it "Madge-gee'.

It's really interesting because my family is from Togo, the neighboring country, and we make the same foods but serve them differently. Eba is something we call Pinon, but we tend to just plop it in a bowl and eat it with a spoon. The way he serves it in this video is like how we would serve Fufu. And the Degue is just known to me as Tapioca porridge. It's just those small white tapioca pearls that you can find in both African and Asian markets boiled in water/milk with condensed milk, vanilla, and nutmeg for flavor. It's a REALLY GOOD dessert! It's cool to see the different ways it's served in different countries and villages. :)
