Kratos talks about killing the Sisters of Fate | God Of War Ragnarok ( The tale of Kratos ). Kratos tells the story of killing Zeus & The Sisters of Fate.
Not really he sounds more dumb-founded if anything. He knows Mimir long enough, and considering how Mimir is knowledgeable first hand that he killed the King of Olympus, the fact that he’s surprised by Kratos time travelling and finding it absurd causes the Ghost of Sparta tad confusion.
@Candykutta Gods don't have DNA or relations like Zeus & Hera, Hades & Persephone who are brother and sister, uncle and 2nd degree niece respectively are extremely icky. Aphrodite is either interpreted as Zeus's daughter or a child of Ouranos, which would make her Zeus's aunt. Again, Kratos getting jiggy with her has no malice cuz gods have no DNA.
@Candykutta Not exactly. Aphrodite was born from the coom of Uranus after Cronos castrated him on Gaia's orders, and it making contact with the ocean. Its more of...distant cousin? At this point, since they just share the same great grandfather.

Honeslty its interesting that compared to the Greek Gods, the Norse Gods are pretty tame for most part in terms of power and reasonable in terms of power. Odin cleary knew about the Greek Pantheon (likely from Tyr) so i wouldnt be suprise if he wasnt tempted to travel there and get some goodies... till he realized how absolutly broken the Greek Gods were for most part and the types of monsters that dwell in Greece (Gorgons, Hellhounds, Cyclops and Chimeras allover the place)
Considering how the greek gods fought against the titans, then giants, then Thypon and more sh!t they did to themselves, i do not know what else would be
@@Voldrim359 Yep. Many people try to present the aesir's warrior nature to be some superior trait when infact the olympians were even more savage and also more succesful in their devine wars. They were never defeated until Kratos, and Zeus even avoided the Metis prophecy which alone is a feat beyond Odin.

This is to be expected from the Greek pantheon. Zeus literally created a weapon more powerful than mjionir and any weapon In the Norse pantheon in just a few seconds and then proceeded to use that weapon to solo thousands of titans with a single attack. Note the titans are also basically gods as well if you look into the myth. They were worshipped as gods before the Olympians defeated them. The Olympian gods were no joke. Also in another dialogue kratos said most of the Greek gods are far mightiers than Heimdall and Heimdall is the third strongest aesir in the game and is Odin left hand. This says alot about how powerful the Greeks were.
So the creators are finally acknowledging just how confusing the original GOW timeline was with this, seriously the whole time travel-ness of it really messes things up if your not paying close attention or keeping track
@@donimmortal7692 it is confusing for example in god of war 2 how does Kratos not cause a paradox when he travels back to the moment where Zeus kills him. edit there also the question of why Kratos didn't time travel back to save his family from being killed by him.

@@Kn1ghtborne Cory Balrog said that Norse Kratos could beat Greek Kratos and the only way I can possibly imagine that is if both were given the same equipment set and nothing else. No Greek magic or weapon, and no Leviathan Axe or runes. Just the infamous chained blades. The only real advantage Greek Kratos would have then is the ability to double jump
@@scottprice4955 if you include all weapons and magic Greek kratos would smoke old kratos. Also all god of war games have different directors. The current director Eric Williams said kratos is weaker. Cory only directed two games in the entire series of games. Several writers, directors of previous games etc confirmed young kratos was overall more powerful. The strongest version of kratos we've seen in game was the kratos at the end of gow 3 with the power of hope and blade of Olympus but unfortunately he gave those two things up. Even the 2018 novel confirmed kratos got weaker. The 2018 novel said kratos lost muscle mass and strength when he moved to Midgard because he stopped fighting and decided to live a peaceful life. Eric Williams said In an interview that old kratos has been training for the past 3 years to try and get back atleast a fraction of the power he once had. Does that mean kratos is weak now ? No since he is still capable of fighting and defeating other gods but he isn't as powerful as he was when he was younger but that doesn't mean he can't become powerful again. What made young kratos powerful was his obsession with revenge and power which made him so powerful because he went around collecting magic, powerful weapons that rivaled the blades of chaos etc. Old kratos is relaxed and isn't power hungry. If he was as power hungry as he was when he was younger he'd be able to gather magical abilities etc like he once did.
I mean yeah, but Odin was never born strong. He had to steal his way to the top. Most of his powers tends to belong to other people and he just took it. So in a 1V1 fight Odin would probably lose to a bunch of the Greece Gods. However, if Odin was transported into Greece Mythology he’d probably do exactly what he did in Norse Mythology. Odin would start off with the weaker gods and work his way up. He’d also manipulate the Gods into protecting himself or otherwise keep them away from him. Don’t get me wrong the Greece Gods aren’t bumbling fools, but Odin is a mastermind in this respect. Odin’s average plan puts Athena’s plan to shame. Zeus has insane strength, but Odin is insane at manipulating people.
If it existed,odin would have it I'm pretty sure odin would running back to Asgard if he knew that Zeus was the one who has it,cause Zeus from mythology can literally bitch slap odin, thats how powerful Zeus was,and that's exactly why odin is afraid of kratos,cause he knows that kratos killed Zeus.
You know when you think about there is a good reason why the Greece gods are more powerful than the Norse gods. They’re essentially descended from primordial forces of nature while the Norse gods descended from just a tribe of beings strong enough to be consider gods but still bound by the laws of nature of the world unlike the Greek gods who embodied those laws of nature.
It's also safe to say that if he wanted to kratos could indeed kill the Norms lol. Freya herself said the Norms have no kind of magic or power that the fates of Greece did. So in a way this conversation also told us that the Norms are dangerous but not something kratos should fear. The Sisters and Norms also stated that Kratos would die. And kratos proved both wrong. Further proving Kratos is beyond them
@@polaullon5116 The Underworld of Greek mythology was also named Hades, same name its ruler. However, all souls go to Hades when they pass from the mortal realm, so it's just the afterlife in general; it has different areas for different souls. Tartarus, however, was different, and was where the Titans were imprisoned by the Greek gods. Granted, I learned all this in high school and it's been about 8 years since I graduated, so take what I say with a grain of salt.
The Norms can only foresaw what would happen and cannot directly control Fate while the sisters of fate can, they literally control the outcome of the Great War

Well if we think about it again after playing GoW4 and Ragnarok We also think the same as Mimir even tho we played the previous game The previous is too Power house, too crazy, brutal, confusing timeline, prophecy sound doesnt make sense Ofc it gonna sound like exagerating But We played it, we finished the previous saga And Kratod did confirmed it in Ragnarok

I thought this was going to end up like the other games where Kratos has to kill all the gods that Odin sends to stop him but it’s the opposite, I was hoping Kratos would and get a weapon from each one after killing them like the OG series 😂
I like how some people take this case here to be "proof" that the Norse Gods are all inferior to the Greek Gods. But it's clear that the writers intentionally made sure that Norse Gods bear no time travel powers as otherwise, as Mimir stated, Odin would have it, and everyone would be absolutely screwed then. Odin wouldn't be an idiot like the Greek Fates were.
Really shows how weak the Norse Gods were in comparison to what Kratos fought in Greece. Here destiny doesn't exist but there it did in a literal sense.
It's funny. All that happen so long ago, you wouldn't be faulted to believe none of it was real. Compare to these two games, the first 6 seems like some cracky ass fan fic of some Greek fanatic.
